He states he doesn’t service my area and says he has called Angie’s list over and over and over again to make us aware of this.

The company let me know that I am out of their service area. He was really nice.

I called Angie's List to get a full refund for the deal.

The whole process went very smoothly. Jim, our technician, came on time and performed the requested services in a timely manner. Jim was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions.

I started using this location of ARS (the one in Glenshaw PA) in 2012, and I am a repeat customer. Andy performed the first maintenance service and then I had Chris and this time Jim. I highly recommend Andy and Jim as they are extremely knowledgeable. I plan to continue to use ARS - Glenshaw PA.

It went well. Did have problem getting programmable thermostat to connect with appliances but problem was solved - needed new wiring. This required extra day but work was completed to my satisfaction. Project manager Victor came out & explained everything so I fully understood the process. He answered all of my questions ( which were many) & didn't make me feel stupid for asking them. This was my 1st. major HVAC project & I couldn't have been in better hands than ARS. The contractor Ted came out next to take all the required measurements. The technicians Ralph & Evan were professional & did an excellent job! A 3rd technician ( I think his name was TJ) came out on the final day with Ralph to do the re-wiring. He was also professional & did a good job. I would recommend this company to family & friends.

We would highly recommend ARS and use them again in the future when we need furnace repair/replacement. My husband and I moved into our new home, which had been sitting empty for a few weeks during a major winter storm, on a Friday. That evening, our movers noticed a smell of gas downstairs as did we. Since we just purchased the home, we called the home warranty company. The furnance had been newly installed as part of the home sale by ARS. By this time, it was a Friday night at 6 or 7pm and we were not sure we would get service and were ready to stay in a hotel for the weekend since we have two young children. By this time we were all tired and out of sorts from a long day and the moving process. An ARS technician called us back within 30 minutes and scheduled to come to our home that evening. He was able to find the leak and repaired it. He also inspected the entire unit to make sure there would be no additional problems. We were so impressed with his willingness to come out on a Friday evening and the companies prompt response. We would definitely call them again in the future.

I have a home warranty and they sent these guys when my furnace wasn't working. The cost of service is for my co-pay. The service technician was prompt and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions. The work was completed in a timely manner. I didn't have to wait long for an appointment. He offered me information on their service plan just to let me know about it.

While I wish they would wear shoe covers and communication could be a little bit better with the technician as he's very quiet, if you ask him a question he will give you good information. He is very knowledgeable. The tech is always punctual and the call center is responsive, pleasant and schedules appointments quickly. They also call for follow-up.

We used them so long ago I don't recall the specific details, nor date.

The tech was very nice. He cleaned the furnace and then suggested I buy a brand new one. However, their estimate for the furnace was too high, even with the home warranty company paying for a bulk of it. I found someone else for significantly less. It also took me over 2 weeks to get back a refund for a check I had written for the deductible.

The work was very good. Only problem I had was he cancelled first time due to family emergency. Second appt we kept missing each other. Then he had to order a part. Hence, a third visit.When he did fijnally connect, the work was excellent.

Always professional, punctual, and not too expensive. They put in our air conditioner over 15 years ago. And have done a great job maintaining everything since.

It was good I usually ge them every year. This year they told me I needed a certain part and it was going to cost about 7 or 800 for the part not including labor so I got a second opinion and was told there was really nothing wrong with the part- and it doesn't have to be replaced until it doesn't work anymore so I was little disappointed as I don't want to pay that much unless it is an emergency or really needs done.

We believe it is worthwhile for the peace of mind every year.

After doing computer research and consulting Angie's list I choose ARS for me to buy and install Mitsubishi Electric splits heat pump and air conditioning in my home. The Project Manager, Chris Miller, was very knowledgeable about this heating system, financing and current tax credits on the product. The installation went as planned. The installers were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I would recommend ARS to others.

I had my first Heating Service with ARS today, and my technician was Dave. In the past with other companies in different cities, I have had technicians who were unprofessional or unwilling to discuss matters with the customer or any number of horrid experiences! I tried ARS with an Angie's List $69 Heating Check coupon, and what a difference a great technician will make. I wanted to write and say Dave was really a fantastic individual to work with. A great representative of the company who was knowledgeable -- informed me about the humidifier installed with our furnace (unknown to me! new homeowner), patient -- walked me through how the furnace worked in conjunction with humidifier, filters, and duct system, good humored -- snafu with Angie's List coupon redemption was handled matter-of-factly, and courteous -- took off shoes and kept me in conversation with the work he was doing. Dave is great -- request him in the future! Send him kudos!

I called our home warranty company, who sent ARS out to us. Our AC was not cooling properly and I was feeling the heat. ARS came and went through a bunch of tests and finally told me that our cold air return was insufficient. DING. I remembered that when we inherited this house, there had been something weird with it. A vent in the living room was blocked off. I moved the couch to show him and he said, yep. that's it. The contractor who installed our new furnace in 2011 had been shown this same vent and he said it was fine. Well, the guy from ARS used my vacuum to clean between the vent cover and the piece of sheet metal that was used to block off the vent. Then he carefully removed the metal, exposing the duct. He took the metal outside and then he vacuumed out the duct. He found a D-Con rat trap in there and a bunch of really nasty stuff. The odor was horrible. After clearing the duct and replacing the cover, he told me to never place furniture over the duct and he wrote down the name of Air Duct Maintenance and suggested that I call them to get the duct work cleaned, because he had seen rat feces and other debris that needed to get out of there. I asked him if he did this type of work, and he said that they do not. Well, our AC is working just fine now. And I called the duct work cleaning company (and I have written a review about them, as well) and they were able to get all of the horrible, nightmare debris out of our 100 year old duct work and now the pervasive odor which used to be in this house is GONE. I am glad that my AC works, but the fact that this gentleman found a huge health hazard, brought it to my attention, and provided me with a super resource for resolving the problem makes me just feel so wonderful. These are our new AC/Heating guys. Forever. Bless your hearts. You did good.

They got taken over by a major national company and now they are called ARS. They are fine but they are a little pricey. We pay they them every month.

I called Sunday. Set an appointment up for Monday morning; called back at 1pm. They told me that a certain call center I called could not make the appointment but the fact is that call center did. They are too big for their britches. This is a big company that services all over the U.S.... If they can't set an appointment correctly and lead me to think I will be taken care of and I lose a day of work because of it (now two days) I can not recommend this outfit. I used the number off of their web site (an 800 number). I do not recommend them at all.

I have been using them for twenty years and have an annual contract with them. They have always been good and come when they promise.

They do a good job. They are nice people to deal with.
