Description of Work: ARS replaced a nearly 100 year old boiler! Once the asbestos was removed by another company, they completed the enormous task of taking apart and removing the probably 500 pound cast iron boiler, then installing a new Carrier boiler. They accomodated my schedule, sent the project supervisor to check out everything after the estimate and before actual work started to ensure all was in order to start the job. They were professional, prompt, efficient and worked with me to tailor the procedure, staying in communication the whole time. They explained things well and outlined what they'd be doing. Their estimate was quite reasonable and they were reliable and recommended to me by relatives.

Description of Work: Furnace checkup. I would use them again for my yearly furnace check and air filter change.

Description of Work: We originally scheduled the check up but when the tech came out to perform the service ther was a crack in the heating chamber which required us to purchase a new furnace. ARS immediately sent someone out to talk to us about products and price. We accepted their recommendation and they installed the new furnace shortly thereafter. I would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: I would use them for warranty work but not for general repairs. I was quoted a price of over $650.00 to change a feeder valve to our boiler. It's a $30.00 part and he told me it would take half an hour to change. The rest of the labor time was to wait for the lines to drain.

Description of Work: They came to inspect my furnace and flagged it for small holes in the heat exchange unit. I was almost convinced to purchase a new furnace. I had another company come out and they inspected the furnace, checked the CO levels and said I did not need a furnace.

Description of Work: I have both my furnace and central air conditioner serviced yearly for winter and for summer by ARS, which is a one time charge. A customer representative will contact me when my furnace or air conditioner is due for service for the year, make an appointment and that's it. If the service representative is running late with a problem from the appointment they are at, they will contact me and let me know or if I can make my appointment early the next day. But for the most part they make every effort to be on time and keep the appointment. I have been having my furnace and air conditioner serviced by ARS for approximately 15 years. When my furnace went out a representative came to my home, worked with me in picking the right size furnace for my home, energy efficient and not over priced. The service representatives are friendly and explain everything that they are doing and advise if there are any problems, if there is an extra charge by something not covered in the yearly checkup and if the units needs to be replaced. I would recommend ARS.

Description of Work: They installed our central air some years ago. It's been fine. They have since serviced the AC and our furnace which they did not install. When we've had trouble they have been quite responsive. We have an bi-annual service contract which seems very reasonable.
