We needed a new air conditioner. I called Gillece and they came out to my house. I have to say they lived up to their rep of coming out the same day -- and they quoted me a price of $7,500. I took that information after several people telling me not to use Gillece and got estimates from Sears and from ARS. ARS came in with the lowest bid for the exact same installation. The air conditioner has been great and I didn't feel that I was getting anything less for the money I paid.

They were efficient, professional, and reasonably priced.

I was very impressed. From the salesperson all the way to the technicians who came to my home, including the person who arranged payment, this was the most pleasant experience I have had with a home repair. The head technician, Jake, and Mark, came. Jake was a great teacher who was efficient and communicative, and extremely helpful in identifying important information. They cleaned up, as well. Chris Miller was the project manager and he, too, was excellent. I was really struggling in choosing a model, and Chris provided objective information and helped to see if I qualified for stimulus loans; he was very astute. I really appreciate all their hard hardwork and guidance. I highly recommend ARS.

They charged me about $3500. They did whatever needed to be done to my air conditioner. They squeezed me in and accommodated my schedule. It was during the busy time of the year and it was really hot. They figured out how to get in here and get the air conditioner that would work for my house. They were very professional and I would recommend them.

My husband called them several times talking to different people (including a manager). They were unfriendly and unresponsive (two clerks promised to call back and never did). They refused to repair the pump saying it was not covered. The agreement does not say anything about exclusions, i.e all components of the installed systems should be covered unless it is specifically stated. The manager offered "a brake" of 10% discount and quoted $180 to replace the pump. Hint: you can buy a brand new pump for around $50 shipped at filterace.com and replace it yourself! Their invoice says "Please know that we'll be ready for your next service need." What a joke! They have an interest in you only when you are writing a check. After getting your money, their will do everything to deny warranty service. Please avoid this company!

We usually call them once a year for a cleaning. They are very professional, straightforward, and do good work. We usually get a package deal. I always get the feeling that we get a fair deal and that they're not trying to rip us off. We are thinking of calling them pretty soon. They usually come out punctually after making an appointment. We have had no problems at all.

They came out the morning after I called. They fixed the issue with the furnace and recommended and new water heater. They also changed my filter.

Company provided a 2-hour window for arrival. They were on time and professional. Did not suggest any repairs.

The install went very well. The two man crew arrived on time and they were very professional and did an excellent job. The job took about six hours and all of the old parts were removed. I would definitely recommend ARS.

We have been very happy with them. When we lost our heat one winter they came right away and took care of us. They are very good and they have nice, professional people. They always call to schedule appointments and give you a two hour window so you don't have to wait all day for someone to show up. They do a good job, and I have never had any problems with them or their work.

It went fine. I was shocked that my furnace wouldn't pass inspection. They showed me where it was broken and explained that the cost of the replacement part would be about the same as a new furnace.

Very well. Scheduled the appointment at our convenience. Bryan was a little early. Performed the service and changed the filter. We discussed the best payment option-use a coupon from Valpack or choose the annual service option (including spring A/C tune-up). We chose the latter.

It was fine. I had no problems with them. They arrived on time and took care of what they had to do. There was a problem that arose after that, so I called them and they sent someone out immediately, which they did not charge me for.

It was a very hot day when they came. I have used them extensively in the past. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done with the work.

I really have not used them for anything else yet besides the routine checks in the summer and fall. I am going on a recommendation of a plumber that I use. They did great with my furnace and I am pleased with it. I did consult with them about a hot water heater and zoning for the house, but he said I did not have to do that yet and that zoning would be costly. I really felt good about them. They were not pushy about selling me something that I did not need and they were very honest with me.

I'm totally satisfied with the service provided by ACS Inc Heating Air Conditioning. I've had them come in the spring and fall for a number of years. We pay them when they come but I can't recall the amount. It is worth the price whatever they charge because the are excellent, prompt and they educate me in the best ways to maintain a good working furnace and air conditioner.

They charged me $1005 for the pump and I thought that was a little high but I paid it. I later spoke with another HVAC contractor who told me I had been severely overcharged. I looked up the retail price of the part and it happened to be $745 and I even found it for as low as $581.10 online. They charged me at least $260 over suggested retail from the manufacturer and since they aren't supposed to have a service charge according to our contract, I do not know where this money went. When I called them back they just said "that's the cost of doing business". They even told me that it would take a while to order the pump but on the invoice it said it was usually shipped the same day and the other HVAC contractor I spoke with said the pump is a stock item. I want a refund for the difference in cost and I would like a refund of my service contract as well. I should not have to pay more than retail.

We received a coupon from ARS in the mail as part of a welcome package for new homeowners for a free first-time inspection of our heating system, no strings attached. We told them about the coupon up front, and sure enough they had no problems and set up an appointment with a two-hour time window. Their man (Bob) arrived right on time at the beginning of the window for the appointment, looked over our heating system, and declared it to be in good condition, recommending only that we buy a radiator key and bleed the air out of the upstairs radiators. Frankly, we expected him to try to sell us something, so we were pleasantly surprised when he asked us to "sign here" where it said our coupon was worth $84.95 and gave us some information about the company's yearly service plan. We were very satisfied with our experience, and although we haven't officially signed up, we plan to call them again next year.

The installation went well and the clean up was good. The price was a little high but that is the only negative I can say about them. They were prompt and professional.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS PROMPT AND COURTEOUS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ABOUT 5PM ON A SATURDAY WHEN I CALLED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. STEVE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THAT THE FILTERS NEEDED REPLACED AND SUGGESTED A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT ALTERNATIVES FOR THE FILTERS. I BELIEVE THAT FOR THE WORK PERFORMED IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE WAS 84.00 AND THE ACTUAL WORK WAS PRICED AT 68.00.

ACS SENT SOMEONE OUT WITH INFORMATION ON ALL THEIR SYSTEMS. HE BROUGHT MATERIAL ON THEM ALL, AND WALKED THROUGH THE HOUSE TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT WE NEEDED. AFTER FRANK DISCUSSION ON THE PROS AND CONS OF EACH, WE SETTLED ON A HIGH EFFICIENCY FURNANCE. HE WALKED US THROUGH THE PROCESS OF REMOVING THE OLD FURNACE AND INSTALLING THE NEW, GAVE US A PRICE, WHICH REQUIRED A DEPOSIT, AND THEN FINAL PAYMENT ON THE DATE OF INSTALLATION. THE DAY OF INSTALLATION, ACS ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND WORKED STEADILY THROUGHOUT THE DAY TO COMPLETE THE INSTALL. THEY WERE COURTEOUS, NEAT AND EFFICIENT - COMPLETING THE JOB EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. AFTER THE INSTALL WAS DONE, THEY WENT THROUGH ALL THE SETTINGS AND MECHANISMS WITH US, AND PROVIDED US WITH NOTES THEY MADE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACS.

THEY WERE EXCELLENT. THEY CAME ON TIME AND WORKED IN A VERY ORGANIZED MANNER. THE WORKERS WERE POLITE AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.

THE WORKER WAS ALREADY THERE WHEN I ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT TIME.

THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THEY'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS A LONG TIME.

THEY WERE RELIABLE AND FAIRLY PRICED. WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY (AS IT WAS OCTOBER AND COLD). ONLY CRITICISM --WISH THEY WOULD SEND A YEARLY REMINDER FOR CLEANINGS AND CHECK-UPS.
