From start to finish it was better than I hoped for.

Jon did an incredible job once again. We have used him for years and then we moved to a new house with chimneys that were a mess. Dead animals,live birds,soot,no caps just neglect. As usual Jon went above and beyond. He stayed longer and did whatever was needed. He spent time talking to me about care and options. His service and work ethic are a rare find in any industry. He ended up having to tarp my sitting room to get a live bird out! He did everything with a smile and a kind word. He left my house spotless and my chimneys perfect.

We called Sate T Sweep and Chadds Ford Chimney Sweeps to give an estimate on replacing our rusted chimney cap. (Chadds Ford charged $85 plus tax for the estimate, which would be applied to the bill if we went with them.) Safe T Sweep gave a slightly lower estimate, but to be honest, we liked Jon's manner and were taken with his appearance. (He wore a chimney sweep's top hat!) We decided to engage Safe T Sweep, but before we could call Jon to schedule the job, Jon called us and said he was going to do more work in the neighborhood, and if we could wait a few weeks, he would give us a $40 rebate! No hesitation there! Jon came on the scheduled date and replaced the chimney cap--no hassle, no problems. The cap comes with a warranty, and we are satisfied. But what we really liked is that Jon had noticed what a filthy state the outside of our house was in. We recently moved into the house, and it looked like the house hadn't been power washed in years--dirt and green moss everywhere. He had brought his power- washing equipment and asked if we wanted him to power wash the house for $100 an hour. I had looked at some companies on Angie's List and was going to call for estimates, but Jon was there--ready, willing, and able. What clinched it for us was that he uses only water, no nasty chemicals like some companies use. We decided only to do the north and west sides of the house since these were the filthiest. Jon did a great job, and we are very pleased with how the house looks. We would engage Safe T Sweep and Jon again and recommend him to others.

Who would have thought that a chimney repair could have been so enjoyable. Not only did he do a really dynamite job, providing with excellent care advise and the products that will last 2 decades plus, he gave me a banana plant that is surviving to this day very well. Highly recommended.

Removed a wood stove from my fireplace. Cleaned the fireplace and placed a cap to seal off the chimney. They noticed that the chimney was very dirty and clogged and recommended a cleaning. We did not hire them to clean our chimney but they were willing to clean it after seeing how bad it was. They did not go much over the quoted estimate price to clean the chimney which was a plus. Overall they did a great job and I would highly recommend them for any chimney cleaning or stove removal.

Overall the service was fantastic from start to finish. We walked through my home to show Jon where the fireplaces are located. We discussed the cleaning, ways to improve the use of the heat generated by the fireplace, and ways to reduce the amount of airflow through the fireplaces when they are not in use. Jon is a wealth of information when it comes to chimney services, home heating and ways to conserve energy. He was great and I thoroughly enjoyed our interaction.

Jon was punctual, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He spent the time to answer our questions especially because several previous companies had all suggested different fixes for our problem. I found with some previous "free estimates" they'd either give you a vague estimate (i.e., didn't tell me I should get a chimney sweep first but gave an estimate anyway) or was clear that they were trying to sell a fancy "we take pictures to show you but it'll cost $375" inspection. I'm glad I had Jon do the sweep and the inspection because he saw things afterwards that totally changed his recommended plan for the FP chimney. So with other companies, there would have been some surprises and the proposed work would not have worked. I recommend his services highly!

We selected Safe-T-Sweep both on the referral of friends and based on online reviews and were not disappointed. Jon arrived promptly at the time we had set. He explained all the work he was going to perform along with our options. He did not pressure us and offered to fix our biggest problem (lack of a chimney cap) on this visit and return to replace our damper. Most importantly for dirty work such as this, he was very respectful of our home and left things as clean as they were on his arrival. The plant that the company leaves with every customer after service was a pleasant bonus. We will definitely use Safe-T-Sweep in the future!

I was very impressed with this company. They always returned my calls the same day, and called the day before our appt to confirm. The sweep arrived right on time, and was pleasant, efficient, and professional. We had not had our chimney cleaned or inspected since buying our house 7 years ago, and he gave us lots of tips for how to maintain it and showed us how to clean the leaf trap in the basement (which we didn't even know existed). He even gave a coloring book to our 3-yo daughter! We also got an estimate for a new liner and cap; when we are ready to have that work done, we will definitely be hiring Safe-T-Sweep.

Their service worked out fine. They made a recommendation to my husband. My husband is going to give them a call back to do the additional work. They were very nice. They didn’t pressure or push when they made the recommendations. They even took pictures of everything to explain their recommendation. They were thorough. They let us know that there was one service that we did not need that my husband wanted to check in on.

They were great. They were really good. They guy was very nice and friendly. He put shoes on. He kept everything very clean. I had a good experience. I would absolutely recommend him and use him again. I didn’t have a problem at all.

We knew when we bought the house that the chimney needed to be relined. The gas furnace is direct vented so, the gas hot water is the only utility that is vented using the chimney. We had 4 chimney contractors come to the house for estimates. The other three companies only installed rigid stainless steel liner system and the estimates ranged from $1,800 ? $2,500. Safe-T Sweep was the only company that we could find that would replace with Aluminum Flex System. He showed up on time, installed the liner, pointed chimney and cleaned up.

Not only was Jon punctual, but he performed an outstanding job. I have had several sweeps over the years, but I can honestly say this was the cleanest my fireplaces have ever been. Jon spent quite a while cleaning up the glass doors on my living room fireplace and they looked almost new when he was done. I received a discount because it is considered "off-season" and also another $20 discount for having 2 fireplaces cleaned....nice!! Great experience....Would highly recommend.

Jonathan, the owner, called prior to the appointment to make sure everything was still good to go, was very professional, explains what he's doing and why, and cleaned up any mess that was made after the work was performed. I'm very happy and look forward to using Safe-T-Sweep again for any future chimney inspections/cleaning/problems.

I made an appointment with Safe T Sweep. Jonathan, the owner from Safe T Sweep arrived on time. He was friendly, honest, and very knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

We knew we needed a chimney cap from a previous chimney inspection and sweep. Jon had the best prices and explained everything clearly. He had to order of the double-flu chimney cap, but it was installed within 3 weeks of ordering and he even called to follow up.

They said it wasn't too corroded, and therefore cut the price. He was nice and honest, and i would definitely use him again. He also looked at my other 2 fireplaces but he let me know only one of my 3 needed cleaning.

It took me a few days to get a callback, but once we connected, Jonathan quickly scheduled a visit to the house. He was running early and called ahead, I was home so he was able to start the work early. He inspected both fireplaces and swept one of them. He was efficient, friendly, and completed the work in short order. Overall, an outstanding experience and I will use Sate T Sweep again.

The gentleman from Safe T Sweep was on time, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Making an appointment was easy over the phone and he called ahead right before he arrived. He inspected our fireplace and chimney inside out. He told us everything looked good and that we should consider getting a new crown and cap put in sometime in the future (but that it was not a critical repair at the moment). Overall, excellent experience and felt very comfortable in dealing with them. I will definitely call Safe T Sweep again in the future!

I received a confirmation phone call from Safe T Sweep on the evening before their visit -- a pleasant surprise from a chimney sweeping company! Our sweep, Jonathan, called again while he was on his way to the house the next day. He arrived in top hat and tails (okay, just a top hat) and went right to work. He worked neatly and efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail and finished in about an hour. The price was exactly as-quoted, and Jonathan even reminded me about the $20 discount I received from booking him through Angie's List! On the way out, he offered to fix a section of the gutter on our back roof! Terrific chimney sweep; terrific company. I will hire them again!

The owners name is Jonathan. I don’t remember how much he charged me for their services but I know that it was very reasonable. The man was excellent and was able to get me in. He did a fabulous job and I would have him back in a minute. I only checked with one other company with regard to price. The price was reasonable for the quality of work that he did. His responsiveness was excellent. I will definitely use his services again in the future.

We were very satisfied. They came when they said they would, inspected everything, and determined that they did not need to clean anything. The man that came was very informative and thorough, and did a good job.

They were great, very helpful & informative. They went above and beyond with answering any questions that I had. Once the work was complete, they gave me, complimentary, a choice of plant to clean my air, which was a nice touch. I'd recommend them to others.
