We needed to have a portion of our chimney removed and contacted several different companies. We chose Safe T Sweep based on their reasonable quote and professionalism. They were effective, efficient, courteous and prompt throughout the entire process. We are happy with the outcome and would definitely work with them again.

Jon and his son came out and cleaned our chimney. There were precisely on time and very neat in their work. Jon even showed me via photo where a small crater was forming on the chimney cap mortar. Would highly recommend - very professional and friendly and the cleaning was very thorough.

he came and did an inspection which I paid for, and gave an estimate but now doesn't return calls. I have to start again from scratch with another company starting with the inspection.

Poorly-- he installed a damper that broke the first time we used it and then never returned our calls or emails. He was a nice guy and seemed responsive, but now he is no longer reachable and we have to pay someone else to do a job we already paid him to do.

Jonathan was great to work with. He was helpful when I called and was able to schedule me quickly. He arrived right on time and was very friendly. Jonathan looked at both of our fireplaces and determined only one was in need of a cleaning at this time. We appreciated his honestly as he easily could have told me they both needed it and charged me double. He worked quickly, left the area very clean and made recommendations for how we might be improve energy efficiency without pushing for an additional sale. I also appreciated how nice Jonathan was to our overly friendly dog! We will definitely use his services again.

Jon is very friendly and knowledgeable. He went over the chimney, the firebox, operation of the damper and double checked in the attic to make sure any and all penetrations were sealed.

David made several trips up the ladder to my roof where he had to then use a step ladder to get to the top of my chimney. He secured the fixture on top of the chimney & checked that the other components were OK. When I asked him what I owed him he said that there was no charge!

Answered our initial inquiry call promptly, set up a date and he arrived punctually. Polite and professional and left no trace of soot, etc. inside house. Would definitely use again. Cleaned fireplace and noted a concern but did not push to have additional services done such as a new cap on chimneys, but we decided to have one installed as knew we needed them. Explained what he did every step of the process. Highly recommend. Friendly, cheerful personality and his courtesy was a bonus.

Jonathan was extremely neat, putting down a drop cloth to protect surrounding area, used a well ventilated shop-vac - spent considerable time ensuring all soot was removed; brushing the flue from the bottom, using a broom brush in the smoke chamber and wire brush inside the fire box; vacuumed off the smoke shelf and in the firebox and cleaned the glass doors. Inspected the chimney cap and crown. I would use again and recommend Jonathan / Safe-T-Sweep, Inc.

John was very respectful and to the point. He was on time and got the necessary job done. Did not charge me extra and was very helpful. I wanted to replace the cap but he recommended not to replace it at this point since I have a plan to turn the fireplace to a vent free gas one. He also inspected the fire place and chimney.

While it took a bit longer to get an appointment than I would have liked (I made the mistake of waiting until peak chimney season before scheduling) I will absolutely use Safe-T-Sweep in the future. John was on time, thorough, explained to me everything he was doing and seeing, happy to answer all my questions. He even found me a fireplace grate!

FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE, POLITE AND SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING THE JOB DONE CORRECTLY. HE IS THE ONLY CONTRACTOR I WILL EVER WANT TO WORK ON MY CHIMNEYS. YOU MAY FIND CHEAPER, BUT YOU WON'T FIND BETTER.

In addition to cleaning our chimney, Jonathan made some excellent suggestions to future work needed. He was pleasant and honest.

Great company to work with. On time, courteous, cleaned up after the job was done, and he was really nice to my kids (who are always underfoot). which is a huge plus in my book. I would definitely hire Safe T Sweep again.
