Description of Work: Built retaining walls on both sides of front driveway. Very good work. Only problem was that a torrential rain washed away the top soil before we could landscape. But they replaced it.

Description of Work: Omnipro was quite responsive. We had a detailed conversation on the phone regarding our needs. Subsequent to the discussion we determined that our circumstances required a different solution (service) than Omnipro offers. Hence we did not use their service.

Description of Work: When our retaining wall collapsed in the spring we needed someone to repair our driveway. We opted to reconfigure our steps up to our porch as well. Greg was great to deal with. He gave us three estimates for different projects we could do and was very helpful along the way, both before and during the project. Pricing was fair based on what I've researched on open market. Workers were very courteous during their time at our property. The project took a little more than a week and that was only because some rainy weather interrupted their progress. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend these guys for future work.

Description of Work: Our old retaining wall was falling down and needed to be replaced. We also needed a portion of our concrete driveway fixed as well as pour concrete to extend a patio/sidewalk around the house. Tony was very quick to come out and give an estimate. His estimate was far below several others we had obtained for the retaining wall. After we decided to go with OmniPro they were out to start the project within 3 days. The workers were polite/curteous and did a meticulous job and the area was cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each day. The wall is beautiful! The concrete project had to wait several weeks after the wall project due to weather but as soon as the weather changed Tony and his crew were out prepping for the concrete. Some portions of the grass were dug up due to the trucks but when they were finished the areas were reseeded properly. We are extremely satisfied with the work on both the wall and our driveway and sidewalk. We would highly recommend OmniPro!!!

Description of Work: After reading all of the good reviews about this company I wish I could share the enthusiasm. I met with their rep, Gred, who was prompt, informed and seemingly professional and efficient at the estimate phase. Of the three companies I had spoken with, I liked him the best. He was to put me in touch with a prior customer as a reference and then simply never got back to me regarding the reference or moving forward with the job.....very disappointing.

I was reasonably pleased with the proposal-obtaining process. They got me a written proposal inside of a week of my request. They were the low bidder. At first they were reluctant to abide by their published Angie's List discount, but eventually they did so. When I had some revisions to make, I sent an email with my proposed changes (power washing of stones, a contractual deadline). The company email account wrote back asking me to talk to Tony on the phone. I emailed back that I prefer all such communications in writing. They accepted my revision and sent me a modified version by snail mail. The revision is important, see below. I asked Tony how long it would take him to get to the job. He said he could get to it within two weeks. Based on that, I asked him to add a clause to the proposal that the job would be started within 6 weeks of receipt of a deposit, and completed within 2 weeks of the start date. They accepted my verbiage. Great. I mailed them a deposit. 5 weeks and 5 days later I called Tony to mention that time was almost up on this contract. I hadn't heard from him in the intervening time. He said he'd have his crew there the next week, and that in the crush of > 70 concurrent contracts, mine had gotten forgotten. It was a full week later when they showed up. So they blew the agreed upon start time, technically. However, they worked quickly and I'm satisfied with the quality of the finished product. They made a darn mess while working, but they cleaned it up well. It took them 1.5 days to do the work, and they respected my wishes regarding which garage doors they could block over night. I'd use them again. And next time I'll be a squeaky wheel.
Description of Work: I had an existing wall, perhaps 24 inches tall by 15 feet long. It had been constructed incorrectly and thus was leaning and needed to be rebuilt. They rebuilt it correctly.

My house needed complete hardscaping done front and rear. Last Summer I hired another contractor to do the work. That experience was horrible. Less than a nine months after installation, some of his work(big set of stairs and large retaining wall)began to fail. I had a few contractors over, and most wouldn't touch this disaster. Enter Omnipro. Tony was great to work with and offered a plan to revise the previous work. His plan made sense both from a structural and design standpoint. He was also the only contractor to have a good solution for dealing with a large tree in front of our house. Tony was professional and presented a clear contract that included a detailed plan how the work was to be done(ALWAYS INSIST ON A DETAILED CONTRACT FOR ALL WORK, INCLUDING PLANS AND WARRANTY). When his crew showed up, the were very professional and did their best to get the work done quickly and with minimal disturbance to my neighbors. They had professional equipment(mechanical diggers and backhoes)that they were able to get into my small driveway and raised backyard. It was a lot of work, so the project took a few weeks, but the completed work looks great. Hiring a contractor to install engineered block systems(like Versa-Lok)is tough because anyone can assemble these blocks to make a wall. The basics of installation are not difficult. What you want for more than basic projects, though, is someone with experience and knowledge who can design a clean installation that will look great and provide safe, long lasting walls. Poorly designed and built walls can cause you serious problems(e.g. patios need to push water away from your house)and can be extremely dangerous. I looked at a lot of installers before hiring the first company and still failed. Fortunately, Omnipro was there to save me, but I still lost a lot of money. Do yourself a favor and just hire Omnipro at the beginning of your project, even if you have to wait. I wish I had. A few tips for hiring Versa-Lok installers: 1. Ask about crew size and equipment. A huge crew with no large equipment could be a warning sign. 2. Read about Versa-Lok installation(manuals are on the Versa-Lok homepage)then ask basic questions. If they can't correctly answer the questions, move on. You do not want people who improvise too much with engineered block systems. For example, many walls above a certain height require a stabilizing grid to be built into the wall. If your potential contractor doesn't know this, or says you don't need this, you should definitely get more opinions. 3. Insist on a detailed contract, not something like "will build XXX ft of wall". How will they build the wall, what will they backfill with, what is the warranty, etc. If the contract doesn't look professional(NOT a single page printout)then move on. Talk with them about local codes, insist they have some knowledge of this and put it in the contract.
Description of Work: Installed new Omnistone patio. Removed and rebuilt Versa-Lok steps, Omnistone patio, and large VersaLok retaining wall that had been improperly installed by another contractor less than a year prior and were beginning to fail.

The price was a lower estimate then a landscaper had given. They were very neat. They landscaped behind the wall. They were very easy to deal with. We asked them to save the brick of the old wall and didn't but they did give us the same brick at no additional cost.
Description of Work: They built a wall the was 80 linear feet and 16 inches high. They put a gravel base down and backfilled with soil. They also took away hedges that were there.

We saw their advertisement on the TV. We had tried a number of companies who had not responded to us. They came out and looked the place over and then gave us an estimate. We went out to the store and picked out the material we wanted. When they came out they had the work done in three to four days. They did a very good job. They were professional and they came on time. I would recommend them to others.

They replanted grass in between the houses and my backyard. I explained the situation about the drains to Omnipro. After a flood my neighbor installed another drain. I originally told them that they only needed to replace the original drain because it was 20 years old. They replaced the drain half way to the front of my house but not from the house to the street because they connected it to my neighbors. Omnipro found that the drain my neighbor had installed didn't have gravel. Since it was included in the price I changed my mind and asked them to dig up the pipe and put gravel down. They said that they saw it was draining, but I have only seen it drain once. I also realized that the panels of my brand new awning were pushed in and pushed out and a third of them had to be replaced. They let me deduct it from my second payment to them. I contacted them once before the end of the year to dig up the pipe and put gravel down and I have called today, but have not had a response yet.
Description of Work: They put up a retaining wall and French drains. Overall very good, everything was neat and clean and the wall looks beautiful. They had to come up with a way to get their machinery behind my house because there is only 6 ft between houses. My neighbor agreed to have gravel and dirt in her driveway so that they could get the machine through.
