Description of Work: A very old retaining wall at the back of the house was falling down.Brian immediately returned my call for an appointment for an estimate and was here the next day.He said the job might take a week but he and his team were able to finish the job in 2 1/2 days. Brian and his crew were very polite,cleaned the area of all refuse and worked the hours they were here (nobody just stood around).Brian checked in with me every day by phone if he wasn't here in person.The estimate and contract were detailed.We knew what was going to happen and why. |I would definitely use Boulder Landscapes and Brian again and recommend he and his company.

Description of Work: We first met with Brian, owner of Boulder Landscaping, at our home in June of 2014. He seemed very nice and professional. After meeting with three landscapers, we decided to go with his company. We were interested in redoing all of our landscaping and adding a patio and fire pit. We did not hear back from him, so in early July we contacted him again. He came back to our house and measured for the patio. We still never heard back from him, so we left a message with his office that we were still interested in his services. They assured us he would be in touch, but he never contacted us. It is now July 29th and we never heard from him, so we chose another landscaping company.

Description of Work: Brian and his team showed up as promised for the scheduled appointment. They removed the old mulch and laid down new. He brought a sample box that had many different colors and different grades of shredding'. I chose a beautiful shade of brown that would match the plantation in our yard. The worked very hard, even on a hot day and did not complain once. We were very impressed. Nothing could slow them down. The crew started and finished as promised and the yard looks amazing. We will continue to use them in the future.

He promptly responded to my voice mail/ inquiry to answer any questions and/or make an appt to come out and provide an estimate. I had other landscapers that live streets away from my house never even respond.
Description of Work: - Planted perennials - Cleaned all our beds and put mulch and river rock in the appropriate beds - Made a new bed where we could not get grass to grow - Put boulder blocks down our drive way so that our river rock no longer spills out into the driveway - Cleaned up existing shrubs - Put large boulder stones in our existing beds along our house

 + 2 moreI have been working with this company exclusively for about 6 years now and have never been dis-satisfied. Always highly satisfied. The retaining walls in particular needed a special eye to figure out how to finish them by the road - at the corner that is the most visible. The owner, Brian, came up with a unique way to place boulders to finish it off, that look really great - and serve the purpose of the landscape. The routine lawn keeping work is impeccable. Always very responsive, very competitively priced for high quality work.
Description of Work: I use this company for all of my landscaping, hardscaping and lawn service needs. Once a year they do spring cleanup and a lot of mulching - 16 yards, in the late Fall they do a final cleanup for me. Additionally, they take care of my lawn weekly, and in 2010,they fixed a stone walkway and put in a small retaining wall. In 2011 they put in a large retaining wall, in 2012 they pressure washed and treated all of my concrete surfaces - driveway, walkway and patio. The owner - Brian, is always responsive - and takes a great deal of pride in his work. His staff has always been professional.

 + 3 moreI found Good Nature Groundskeeping on Angie's List. I left a message for Brian detailing what work I needed done. He called back that day and set up an appointment for an estimate. After showing up on time, he listened to what I wanted done and came up with ideas on the spot. He seemed very knowledgeable and I liked his ideas. We discussed some options and I hired him that day. We picked a date and he showed up as promised. The crew was all very polite and did the work in a timely but not sloppy way Brian was there working and giving directions. I felt relaxed that everything seemed under control. Everything went so smoothly that I asked for an estimate for other work I need done!
Description of Work: I had a small pine tree removed from my front yard. Then a raised bed was formed over the area. Mulched and large decorative stones inserted. Some of the yard was thatched where needed, and grass seed planted.

Description of Work: We recently used this company for work around our home. The job Brian and his crew did left such a great impression on us, we couldn't pass using him again. Thank goodness it's spring- but with this nice weather comes the maintence of our lawn and trees. The crew cuts our grass once a week and cleans up any leaves that gathers near our porch. They are well uniformed, polite, and hard at work when they come to our home. The price varies on the yard that they do I believe (this is just the price for ours and also we get it done weekly.) This is our second time around using this company and I am glad that we found them. Fair pricing for great service; If they ever needed someone to sing their praises please feel free to send them our way! AWESOME SERVICE. WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE!

Description of Work: My fiance and I hired Boulder Landscaping to build a decorative wall in our back yard. He used natural stone pieces and it turned out excellent. They showed up promptly everyday and were a very polite group of men. Brian and his crew cleaned up very nicely after the project was completed. We would highly recommend this company & plan to use them again this summer.

 + 1 moreBrian remained steadfast as we began taking quotes for the job in early summer 2012 and the cirlced back to him in September. He provided not only the best prices for the work, but actually developed a plan to build the wall and the fence we wanted to install. He did a large amount of pricing and boulder selection work that resultd in a terrific looking and structurally sound wall and steps. Timeframes and estimates were accuracte. Since this was along the property line he talked with and OK'd plans with the neigbors and restored land disturbance to their liking. Great person to work with. Took pride in and loves what he was doing. Found him and crew to be firendly and adaptive to slight on the spot changes. Provided creative ideas and suggestions to specific landscape that proved to look great and function well. Would hire again for any boulder wall construction.
Description of Work: Crew excavated slopping ground and installed large rock boulder retaining wall and steps. Plan was developed do ensure we were able to then place a fence in front without violating the property line. Seleced materials and restored landscape.

 + 3 moreGood Nature Landscaping provides very high quality service. They can be relied upon for promptness, and completness. Additionally, the owner is very creative with his approach to hard-scapes. It feels like they take as much enjoyment out of my yard looking nicely as I do.
Description of Work: I have had a continuous relationship with this supplier since at least 2006. They have performed; - routine lawn and yard work, - yearly mulching, - and have done 3 separate hard-scaping efforts. (2 retaining walls, and a garden walk-way) The owner returns calls promptly. At busy times of the year, if his voice mail is full, text messaging will be the best way to get a hold of him.

 + 2 moreI had 4 overgrown trees removed on the side of my house and living on a hairpin turn I needed to have something done with the area. After getting two ridiculous bids from other landscapers, I contacted Brian who was at my house the next day to provide me a quote. I told him that I had three priorities, safety (keeping cars out of my yard), privacy, and reasonably priced. Brian was able to achieve all three. He helped design a plan, provided me with the list of things that I needed to buy (boulders, trees, etc). He told me to go and tag what I wanted at local business and he would pick them up. My leg work allowed me to keep the costs within budget. Within a tree day period, Brian was able to clear out existing river rock, build up the area with top soil, place 7 500lb+ boulders, plant green giant arborvitae and a few other perennials, spread mulch and clean up the work site. I highly recommend Brian from Good Nature Goundskeeping because he listened to exactly what I wanted, was very easy to work with and delivered what he promised. My neighbors have been stopping to tell me how much they love the way the side yard now looks.
Description of Work: Brian and his team landscaped the side yard of my house including delivering all materials, place large boulders, planting trees, spreading topsoil, mulching the landscaped area, and cleaning up the job site.
