Changed the skylight.

The estimator provided great information about the options for replacing the roof and skylight. Walked me through all the options from types of roofing and different brands. The quote was mailed promptly and e-mailed as requested. Scheduling of the work was prompt once the deposit was received. On the day of the installation the project manager showed up within the window of when the job was to begin. The crew showed up shortly there after. The crew quickly got to work and removed the old material and replaced the roofing in half a day as quoted. During the covering of the skylight opening the crew dropped the curricular saw through the opening into my family room. Minimum damage was done to the room however they were working in an unsafe manner. The worker repaired the saw by tieing the wires together without proper contectors, another safety issue. Once the opening was closed the crew completed the job without further issue. They cleaned up the job site effectively leaving only a few pieces of shingles about the size of a playing card and a few nails. They left in a timely manner around 5 pm. The project manager returned at an unknown time (at least an hour and a half after the crew left) to make sure the job was completed. However I had to leave to attend an evening meeting at 7:30, so I was unable to talk to him. He removed the waste and excess material without leaving the shingles for future repairs if needed. They hauled the waste in the back of the truck instead of a dumperster as quoted, which is fine for the small job but make the quote accurate. He also never check with me to see if I was satisfied with the job. He also did not return e-mails after the work was completed. I was completely happy with the job expect for the safety of the crew and absence of the project manner after the job was complete. I may use the again in the future to complete the main roof next year if the safety issues are addressed.

Victor Lemus visited me promptly after I called for an estimate after Hurricane Sandy. He quoted me a price and after we verbally agreed, sent out his workers the same day to start the roof capping replacement, and the next day matched the fascia and it looks great. It gave me a sense of relief and I was pleased to know my roof had been repaired before we might receive any further inclement weather. I found Victor to be a man of his word and Lemus mailed me a bill for the exact verbal amount discussed after the work had been done, unlike some of the other contractors with much bigger names in the area that told me they could only put a tarp on my roof for double the usual fee ($1,000) due to the volume they were handling, and come back later and repair it for additional money, to be sure to call my insurance company. The only comment I have regarding Lemus is that I called to find out how long the repair would be warranited, and was told because it was just a repair there would be no warranty, but they would come back if I had a problem and would stand by their work, which I am hoping is true should the need arise. Otherwise, I would say I would recommend them for their honesty and price.

Overall everything went very well. Worked started and completed as planned. I was very pleased with the care taken by the contractor to insure nothing was damaged, even the little things like making sure the refuse container sat on boards and not on the asphault driveway. Cleanup was just as diligent. The contractor was willing to adjust things to meet my requirements and often offered suggestions to make things look/work better. I was very pleased with the complete transaction from my initial contact through job completion.

Lemus Construction was referred to us by a relative where they completed several roofing jobs in their neighborhood, including their own. We got three quotes, and their's was the best price. Since our relative highly recommended them, and they had the best price, we went with them. There was a lot of rain when we were supposed to get our roof done, and they asked if they could do it on a Saturday at no extra cost to us. They came when they said, worked all day, and had the entire thing done in one day. They had flood lights set-up in the dark cleaning up! We've had absolutely no problems and the roof looks great. Love coming home to it!

Estimator came on time. Friendly, professional service from him and the office staff. Contract was clear and well detailed. Workers showed up on time and worked from start to finish. Only one short break for lunch in their truck! The workers they sent were very skilled. Used quality materials and completed on time. You cannot even tell now that the area was damaged - which is how it should be. I would definately use them again. To me, roofing work seems to be expensive no matter who bids it, but their price was in the middle of my estimates. Well worth the money.

We were very impressed with this companies credentials and reputation. The reason we considered Lemus, is because GAF Shingle Manufacturer has recognized them as Master Elite Carpenters for roof installations. Regretfully we needed to choose another roofing company, but it was for reasons that had nothing to do with our expectation of excellent workmanship from this company.

Not really sure how to rate this contractor. The initial work was a disaster. They rushed the roofing job before a rainstrom and there was major flooding that happened all through the night. I was unable to contact anyone and I ended losing a fair amount of rent from the tenant. Onthe other hand, they were most responsive in fixing the problem. After initially having some difficyulty contacting them at first problem, they were there early the next day and did temporary repairs and stopped the leaks. For the most paert they restored to property to its original condition. There are still a couple of minor problems that need attention but I'm confident they will repair them when I call. I wish there was a category "don't know" when asked about using them again. I'm ambivalent.

It appeared that the roof installation was OK but first rain has revealed the actual condition. I exprienced leaks from the day of installation to current. The roof top inspection by another contractor revealed that original installation showed lot of poor quality workmanship and incomplete work around the capping and vents. There were no sealant material to seal the capping edges to prevent wind driven rain penetration. The living room ceiling has cracks due to water leaks from roof (photos are available), attic installation saturated with rain and probably lost its unsulating integrity. Thew power vent was installed improperly, had to be removed and reinstalled. The workers were very young to have the exprience and qualification to do quality work. I have called the company and set emails to get them to do repairs but no one return my calls to date. I sent them registered mail to asking for last time to honor the warranty work and make the repairs by August 6, 2010. I am going to proceed the matter through legal channels if they do not respond. Incidentally, this company did new roof installation at 2 other homes in the neigborhood and they also having leaks and interior damages. It was a GREAT mistake hiring this company.

The vendor from which the door was ordered took over 2.5 months to make and deliver the door. This is the only negative part of the experience and I do not know how much control Lemus has over it; although I think they could have put some more pressure on the vendor along the way.

Victor (owner) arrived promptly for the estimate; by the end of the day he emailed me an estimate and said that he could do the work the next day if desired. The workers arrived on time the next day and completed the work as well as cleaned up very well. Considering replacing a front door and would use Lemus again.

There were very professional. They paid attention to detail, anything that was routed they didn't just cover it up they replaced it. They stayed totally on scheduled, they came on time and stayed till the work was done. No surprises they stayed totally on budget.
