Excellent service by Rob and team. We had a major windstorm that took down a large portion of the tree, which fell on my fence. I called Rob the day after and he estimated the job the same day (lowest cost vs other providers). He was very knowledgeable about trees. He did a great job of removing the tree and branch within 2 days of when I called him. He removed the tree and branch with no issue and cleaned up the mess afterwards. Very satisfied with the surface and will call him again if I need this service. Thanks.

Rob's estimate was the lowest of five. Just as important, Rob was the only person to realize that my hemlock was infested with a parasite; the other guys told me the tree was turning brown as a delayed reaction to the harsh weather last winter. Rob diagnosed the particular pest and applied a treatment to the trunk, with visible results: the tree now is green again. A few weeks later, Rob and two other guys came to do the tree trimming. It took nearly the whole day. They climbed the trees instead of using a bucket, so no worries about tire tracks in the yard. Rob pointed out that they don't use spikes on their shoes, in order to avoid damaging the bark. All the branches were fed into a chipper; the yard was cleaned up well. I should also mention that Rob was the only person who noticed the girdling roots around my honey locusts. I had never heard of these things, which wrap around the trunk at ground level and can eventually kill the tree. He removed them. Overall, Rob struck me as a very sincere guy who really cares about trees. He took plenty of time to discuss which branches to cut so as to shape the trees rather than butcher them. He also advised me to spread mulch four inches deep beneath the trees but keep it away from their trunks. Many people pile mulch way up the trunk, so the poor tree looks like it's sticking out of a giant anthill. I have since confirmed, by reading several sources, that this "volcano mulching" is a very bad practice which harms a tree. I never would have thought about it, and might have allowed some landscaper to do it, unless Rob had mentioned it.

Overall excellent ! Scheduling the estimate was easy. He came within a day or so of calling him. His availability to do the job was also better than other companies. The estimate for the job I got from him was not the cheapest but I liked his personable approach and his knowledge about the work. He was not able to come out to do the job on the scheduled day due to delay in completing another job and some weather issues. He was honest about it and since it was not an urgent issue so i did not mind. He came on the rescheduled day. He started with 2 other guys. Cutting down the trees was smooth. The wood chipper seemed to had some issue and that delayed things. I had specifically asked him to be extra careful in areas close to the house as some large trees were right next to it. He was careful and did not rush things. The job was complete over 3 working days ( gap of weekend). They started the day about 10-10:30 am and finished about 5-5:30 pm. Every day they cleaned up the debris and left the place in decent shape. On the last day, he brought 3 guys with him to complete the job. He kept me updated with the progress throughout. His crew was clean and professional.

It was a big job. They were professional. They worked very hard and left things very clean when they left.

I got two quotes on this job from two highly rated members of Angie's list. I would have used either one but Woodchucker's had an opening for 24 hours after quoting they work. They did the work as agreed for the price as agreed and the owner was quite friendly and checked with me to make sure that I was satisfied.

The owner of the company was knowledgable and willing to answer my many questions about why my trees were dying, and what good replacements might be. Helped me make an educated decision on whether the trees should be saved or removed.

They were excellent! They spent a full 8 hours working, taking down 2 large trees and cleaning up lots of branches. I really was amazed that the man up in the tree doing the trimming never let a single branch fall after he cut it. They were all guided down very carefully and safely. I tell everyone and they are all very impressed when they see the work. I also thought they were very fairly priced!

I've used Rob and his team of tree professionals in the past to trim a wide variety of trees that I have in my front yard and have always depended on his expertise to give my yard that "curb appeal". Rob is an expert arborist and I rely on his professional judgement and attention to detail. My follow up service in the spring will include adding a new native flowering ornamental tree to fill in the area where the storm damage tree was removed. As part of this service, a soil analysis will be done to ensure that the appropriate species of tree is selected. Great service done right!

They came every day, worked till dark (work was done in Dec.) and cleaned up after each day. I will use this company again if needed.

I had another company come to do some tree work. We had a very tall pine tree that needed to come down. They took down that tree as well three other trees in my back yard. They gave me a much better price than other places. Very nice and congenial. They hauled everything away and cleaned up the yard really nice. Their pricing was very good.

Everything went very well - they were excellent. He explained things to me about the trees themselves which had become diseased. He had a lot of knowledge about trees that was very helpful. He came when he said he would come & was very prompt.

They weren't able to get to me right away because of the weather, but kept in touch as to scheduling. Despite the limitations (no truck, etc., could enter the back yard), the trees were removed in a day and a half. My remaining trees were not damaged or disturbed. They also did a great job of cleaning up the yard afterwards.
