Joe was really terrific. He explained the process to me and actually talked me out of getting a more expensive service. He said something like "look, I make a ton of profit on that test, so there is no reason I would dissuade you from not doing it except that I truly don't think you need it." I appreciated his honesty and his professional opinion. He showed up as expected, did the assessment, and called me to let me know how it went. Even though he took one more sample than expected, over all the visit ended up being less than he had originally told me because he didn't find any surfaces that would be worth while to "swipe." I liked that he customized the service to the site conditions. I received a full report from the laboratory showing no evidence of mold and he called to walk me through it. In terms of reaching him, he did email a bit but he was much more responsive by phone. I expected more paperwork (an agreement or overview by email for example) and had worried when I didn't get that, but he was very thorough and professional, just not big into the administrative stuff.

Joe came and inspected the property after we had a plumber in to stop the leak. He told us what to expect in terms of potential damage to the dry wall and cabinets and the potential presence of mold. He also explained everything we would need to do to prepare for his team to do their work. When his team arrived they were on time, courteous, and professional. They worked non-stop and they kept me informed as the job progressed. One of the things I really appreciated while they worked was that they didn't play any music nor did they talk loudly or use their phones. By the end of the day that had discovered two cabinets that had been infiltrated by mold and they had to rip out the majority of two walls in the kitchen b/c they had water and mold damage. They removed the moldy cabinets and dry wall, set up the drying equipment, and they cleaned up very well. Several days later they returned (on time) to remove the drying equipment . They also very kindly rearranged the cabinets and counter top that were left in the kitchen (we had to save everything for the insurance adjuster) so it would be easier for us to get back-and-forth to the refrigerator (it's a very small space). Joe was always available to me by phone and he gave me a great deal of good advice. His price was fair and he gives an excellent break down of everything on his invoice. As a matter of fact, it was so clear and reasonable that my insurance adjuster was impressed and covered it fully without batting an eye! I hope I never have a situation like this again but if I do I would call Joe at MSI immediately

Showed up almost on time. dazzled me w/ technical s and then scare tactics. at the end a ridiculous quote.

When we came home to find our basement flooded by water we reached out to a local company, Royal, to come out and assist as soon as possible. We have a carpeted and finished basement that doubles as an office and it was vital that we got someone out right away. Royal delayed a bit and then said they would be out first thing in the morning - the next morning the hours wore on and our basement sat filled with water - slowly working its way to some of our most prized possessions. When I finally got Royal on the phone we were informed they had canceled the appointment and had forgotten to contact me. Needless to say we were up the proverbial creek without a paddle - that is when I logged into Angie's List and came across MSI. I called and spoke with Joe -he found a way to squeeze us in later that day despite the myriad of other jobs they were working on. Joe and his team were professional, punctual and extremely kind. They worked diligently and saved not only our office and collections but also - to our amazement - the carpet. I cannot recommend Joe and his team at MSI highly enough. They are a model of great service delivered with expertise and dedication.

I called MSI because of water damage to walls and ceiling tiles in my row home. Joe came to my house and I was immediately impressed by his professional friendliness and knowledge. He explained the complexities of mold and its control in easy to understand terms. By the end of his initial assessment I knew Joe was my choice. The extent of the damage isn't known until the wall is removed. Joe provided an honest report which was several thousand dollars less than expected ! Joe is THE most honest contractor I've ever dealt with. Of particular note is that I tend to be a "worrier". I asked Joe many questions, repetitively, in order to relieve various concerns. Joe was extremely patient, understanding, and never annoyed with my frequent calls/questions. He is exceptional in this regard. I highly recommend MSI for anyone concerned about mold problems. You will be picking an exceptionally knowledgeable professional who possesses the utmost personal integrity.

Look, it's scary when you realize you have mold and you have to deal with it NOW. My wife had been complaining of sinus headaches all winter and my infant daughter had been coughing at night. Turns out they were sleeping next to our bedroom closet, which had mold infiltration along the walls. I looked at Angies List, saw that Joe was highly rated, and gave a call. I got a very quick call back (not the case with others) and Joe ran through a full quote with me, and explained the various ins and outs of what he would do. It's very easy to call a general contractor for this sort of thing, but it became clear to be that Joe had the equipment and expertise that some of the other contractors didn't have --or even other mold remediators. You really don't want to mess around with this kind of thing. He honored the quote he gave me, the work was thorough and done quickly, and I would highly recommend him. I have followed up with subsequent questions, and he still is very responsive. Good guy, good prices, does the work asked for, and gets rid of the problem!

Joe at MSI answered my call and all my questions immediately. He was at our house shortly after speaking with him and the job was completed within days after that. He and his team took the time to answer my questions and were professional and courteous the entire time. He quoted us $2000-$2500 and the final price was in the lower end. He is also sending all the information our insurance adjuster needs so we don't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend Joe and his team at MSI.

Joe came in to look at some drywall rot we found behind our wallpaper in our dining room. Not only was Joe prompt with getting onsite he was extremely honest and fair with his assessment and you could truly sense the Honesty and Passion he had for this work. Within a few days of him leaving and speaking with other companies I was confident that Joe was the man for the job and gave him the green light. The morning of the service Joe and his team showed up on time and were extremely polite with my wife and our newborn baby. Joe's team was able to complete the task and remove the entire section of drywall and remdiate the mold behind the section within a few hours. Following his team's work Joe was quick to follow up with myself and wife to make sure the work was done to our liking , which is was. Hopefully Mold doesn't rear it's ugly head again within my walls but if it does I certainly know who to call.

He did a good job. The guy just came in, got rid of the mold, and made some recommendations about how to keep it away. He also cleaned up after himself. He was punctual and professional.

MSI was the only water mitigation company that could provide me same day service during my emergency. Joe was responsive and very friendly. His crew was professional and they did a great job taking care of all of the things that needed to be done to restore our basement to a dry and mold free state. Joe also worked with my insurance adjuster in person and over the phone to our benefit. I would not even using anyone else in the future. These guys are the best.

We had a sewer line back up in our basement and we hired MSI to remove drywall and clean and disinfect our basement. Joe was very responsive, took time to explain the process, and when his crew came to do the work there were no surprises. Not only did they treat the moldy spots and remove damaged wood and sheet rock, but they left the basement looking cleaner than it has in ages.

Joe and his crew did an outstanding job. We discovered mold in our bedroom closet a few weeks ago. Joe came out quickly to assess the situation. He was thorough, patient, and honest. I was impressed with how much time he spent to educate me on the process and then answer all of my questions. It was the same experience on the day of the work. They were on time, quick to set up, and overall very professional. Large sections of drywall were removed from the closet and everything appears (and smells) clean. This was a surprisingly easy process with MSI. I would recommend them to anyone and would certainly use them again.

I wish all contractors and service providers were like Joe. He answered my call very promptly, scheduled me for the next day, arrived on time, was respectful of my home, explained everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions patiently, and promptly followed up with a written report. He made it clear that I should feel free to call him with any additional questions, which I did a few weeks later. He answered it quickly. He was extremely professional and pleasant to work with, and I would not hesitate to call on him again (though I hope I won't need to!).

Joe arrived at the time we agreed on. He explained what he was going to do and how he was going to conduct the test. He was courteous and professional. The whole series of tests took about 30 minutes. Within four days, Joe sent us back a complete report with details concerning the levels and types of mold that were present.

Team arrived as scheduled. Ceiling was removed and water drained. Dehumidifiers and fans were placed.

After calling MSI and making an appointment the owner, Joe Fiorielli showed up on time and promptly provided us with an estimate for his work. Joe's estimate was more detailed and understandable than other quotes that we received. We opted to work with Joe's firm based on his reputation and the professional way that he dealt with us during the initial contact. his team showed up promptly as promised on the day we agreed to. The work required 5 days. His team worked diligently throughout. Joe was on hand at least part of each day to oversee the work. The final air sampling confirmed the effectiveness of the work that MSI performed. We would definitely use this firm again if we encounter another mold problem.

I called MSI and when Joe called me back, I explained my situation and advised him that I was mainly interested in getting a price comparison. Joe immediately cautioned me that there are no standard protocols in mold remediation and going with the cheapest price was not always the best strategy. He said that his policy was, simply put, OVERKILL. I assumed he was trying to prepare me for an estimate way above the amount of the first estimate I got (which was slightly over $4000). He was able to come out to my house within a day or two of our initial conversation which I really appreciated, because I was hoping to get the work done before the Thanksgiving holiday. When he arrived, I asked him if he thought it would be necessary to remove as much drywall (and whatever materials beneath the drywall that were damaged) as the other contractor proposed to do. Joe explained that his policy is to remove only visibly damaged drywall (and damaged materials underneath) as well as all of the drywall (and underlying materials, where necessary) that is a specified distance out from any visibly damaged drywall and then only remove more than that if necessary. He said that he does not like to quote his customers a price for work which may not need to be done. Joe's estimate was 40% less expensive than his competitor's, and he spent a substantial amount of time answering all of my questions and explaining what he would be doing, so I hired him to perform the work. After speaking with him at length, it was abundantly clear, even beyond his educated and personable demeanor, that Joe was a man of great character and possessed of an honest work ethic. When his work crew arrived (exactly when they were supposed to!) to start the remediation, Joe accompanied them and took time to explain everything they would be doing and what materials they would be using to complete the job. In moving their equipment into my house, they were extremely respectful of my belongings and took great care to prevent any damage to anything in their way. The work was completed within the specified time frame and within the estimated cost. I could not be more impressed with the quality of service I received and the professionalism of Joe and his employees. They resolved what had been a stressful situation in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. While I hope not to have future water leakage problems, it is comforting to know that I have someone that I trust to call if I do. I heartily recommend Joe and MSI to anyone who needs mold remediation services!

I am a repeat customer of MSI. I have come to know what to expect from Mr. Fiorilli and his company. When an emergency occurs in a person's home, you do not want to hear about someone else's problems when you are calling for help. When I call Mr. Fiorilli, he responds calmly and makes me feel like my problem is his highest priority. This immediately calms me and makes me feel like things are under control. Based upon my experience with the company, they are. Mr. Fiorilli personally arrives the same day I call every time and personally inspects the premises to rough out what he needs to do. He explains clearly and concisely what the possibilities are and what his plan is to solve the problem, about its work with the least amount of intrusiveness possible. When his crew arrives on the scene, they are professionally attired, clean, and courteous. The have clearly been briefed on what to do and waste no time setting about their work. They always arrive with everything they need to do the job. The crew goes about its work with the least amount of intrusiveness possible. They carefully perform their work keeping demolition to a minimum and making sure not to cause any unnecessary damage. The crew communicates as is necessary but you do not hear unnecessary chatter or kidding around. These guys are serious about their work. They have a "get it done" mentality. At the end of the work day, the area where work has been performed is sealed off and, in my case, drying equipment was brought in to work through the night and the next day. When drying was completed, the equipment was carefully removed from the home. No incidental damage was caused by MSI. At the end of the job, Mr. Fiorilli provided the documentation required by my insurance company to quickly resolve the claim. There were no questions about the reasonableness of the charges or the necessity of his work. When you have a problem in your home, you do not want or need additional problems caused by the repairs needed to correct the damage. When I give the job to MSI and Mr. Fiorilli, I know that my problems are well on the way to disappearing. Recommended without reservation. As good as it gets.

This was the third time we used the services of Mold solutions and Inspections. A newly purchased washer leaked and a musty smell developed in the basement. It was a holiday weekend and I left a message on Friday evening expecting a return call after the weekend was over. Within ten minutes I got a call .from Joe, the owner of the company who told me he would come over the following morning just in case some emergency repairs were needed. He took a look at the situation and made some emergency repairs. He was back with his crew on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday), and definitively repaired the problem. He took photos and prepared a report and a bill. The bill was submitted to the installers insurance carrier. An adjuster was sent out by the insurance carrier who felt the bill was fair and reasonable in all respects and agreed to pay it. I would recommend the work of Mold Solutions and Inspections to anyone who needs this type of service.

I was amazed at the amount of equipment he had in my place, and even more surprised at the way he cleaned everything up. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Very professional and honest with their prices.

We chose MSI after reading great reviews on Angie's list. We were not disappointed. We contacted MSI on a Tuesday, got a full estimate on Wednesday and had the problem solved by Thursday. Joe spent over an hour with me at the estimate and explained what he found and what the work would entail. Joe estimated that the cost would run between 2,000 and 3,000 based on the size of the area and the level of mold. Although it is impossible to determine the extent of a mold condition before tearing open the walls and ceiling, Joe hit the nail on the head with his estimate. Joe and his crew arrived exactly on time the next day. They were all very professional. Later that day, Joe called to tell me the work was done. I highly recommend MSI. They are efficient and professional and answered all of our questions promptly.

Our sewer line collapsed and the resulting backup made a total mess in our basement. We were in search of a company to disinfect and clean up the smelly aftermath. We could have gone with one of the large franchised firms, but we like to use local companies whenever possible. An initial email message that was sent through their website had Joe calling within 30 min. An appointment was made and Joe arrived promptly. He was very knowledgeable in the kind of clean up that would be needed as well asthe timeframe . We set up the cleanup for two days later-once the actual sewer line was replaced. At the appointed time, a crew showed up with Joe to begin the work. All of the work was done in a very professional manner. They left fans, air scrubbers and an industrial dehumidifier to keep the air dry, moving and cleaned for the next two days. They returned and picked up their equipment and set all of the shelves etc. back against the walls. The basement smells much fresher and the whole area is cleaner. The final price was right where Joe had estimated it.

Just weeks after I had a leak in my basement, the piping under shower leaked and damaged the ceiling in my dining room. I called Joe, and he and his crew came out immediately and began the drying process. They documented everything I needed to insure my claim would be paid, and did a great job cleaning everything up. Because the leak was in a room where my dining room set is and some expensive musical instruments, it was imperative for everything to be safe from any damage. MSI carefully moved everything out of the work area and still wrapped each item in plastic. Joe came out each day to monitor the drying, and then his crew was back to pick up their equipment while cleaning again. It was as if they were never there. I would, and have, recommended them to everyone who may need their services. ANd I would tell all Angie's List members to do the same, as they won't disappoint, which is the reason they win the awards every year.......

The first company just did a quick walk through and didn't do much in terms of testing. When Joe came out he spent a through amount of time checking my space for mold, and running several tests. Then he walked me through the results of the test and explained that I in fact did havehigh levels of mold. At first I was hesitant to pay for the testing, but in this case you get what you pay for and I now I have more peace of mind knowing exactly what is in my home and how to get it taken care of before it turns into an ever bigger issue and causes health concerns. Mold testing is not something you want to be cheap on and it always helps to have a second opinion.
