TROY'S APPLIANCE SERVICE

Our 16 year old side-by-side refrigerator was "cool", but not cold and the freezer was "cold", but not freezing. We called Sears where we purchased the appliance and they couldn't get someone here for a couple of weeks. Called Ryan and he came the very next day. He measured temps, took off panels, and made a thorough inspection and began his diagnosis with "Well, I have some bad news..." It needed a new compressor and was dying a slow death. He was honest and upfront and didn't try to put a bandaid where a tourniquet was needed. He didn't try to sell us a new fridge or make repairs that weren't going to ultimately solve our problem. We really appreciated that. Additionally, he was courteous, professional, and punctual. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Unfortunately, the road to repair was paved with rusted screws which broke off as Troy tried to access the burners. The repair would have involved the replacement of all the burners. In addition the copper tubing was damaged. He reviewed the prices for the parts from his online supplier with me. I decided that since the parts alone were almost half the cost of a new stove, I would skip repairing it. The service call charge was $60.

Though he was hard to reach, once I got him to schedule the repair he was prompt, did the work and fixed the dishwasher. On another occasion we thought that the upper arm in the dishwasher was missing. He called me from the parts store to get information on the part and at that time determined that no, the part was NOT missing, so saved the price of the part. He is totally professional and very thoughtful. He gets all the information, including make and model #, before making the appointment and is prompt, quick and he definitely knows his business! I will call him for ANY appliance repair - and I will WAIT if he isn't available, even if it takes weeks. He is that good. And a pretty good price, too!

Wonderful!! I called Troy the day before, because Norris Appliance cancelled my scheduled appointment and would not send out another technician. He came out the next morning and repaired the dishwasher. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was terrific with my puppy! The next time I need an appliance repaired, I will call Troy.

We had a problem with our gas range(burner tube broken) and the microwave thermal cut out needed replacement. he found the problem, ordered the new parts and replaced them couple of days later. We were pleased with the service.He was very friendly. We would definitely call him again.

It was great. If you have to have a broken appliance you have to have Troy fix it. Will call him again .

Tony was great. I left a message early Friday afternoon and he called back before 4pm. He was booked for the weekend, so we set an appointment for Monday morning. He showed up right after the snow storm cleared out and diagnosed the problem. He was able to find the parts at a local supply store, quoted a price on the spot and was back in a few hours to finish the work (as agreed). Tony was very friendly. Just a pleasure to do business with. I will use him for appliances in my rental houses due to this good experience.

Excellent service. It took Troy a few days to call us back but then again it was the Holidays and my message said it wasn't an emergency. Troy called morning after Christmas and said he could be here in 30 minutes.....which he was. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair. In and out in around 30 minutes. Pleasant, professional and resonably priced. Troy will be our first call when we need an appliance repaired in the future.

I looked at several top rated repair companies and had tried someone closer to me but he was not available. Even though Troy is based way on the other side of town from me, he travels all over the area, so don't hesitate to call him based on location. Troy is very friendly and found the problem with our dryer and fixed it in just a few minutes. I will definitely call him in the future.

After we left a message for Troy to call us about our washer, he responded the next day and scheduled a visit to come and look at our washer which wasn't running the cycles right. He came and figured out what the problem was and ordered a part he would need to repair it. He told us how much it would cost and when the part came within a week, he came and installed the part. It is working fine now. I was so glad that I didn't have to buy a new washer right now. Troy is a very nice, efficient, professional guy and answered all of our questions about what was going on with the washer. We would definitely call him again for an appliance repair and we would recommend him to our friends and family.

We called Troy's Appliance Service in the afternoon and received a return call the same evening; an appointment was scheduled for the very next day. Troy called when he was en route and arrived when he said he would. He identified the problem with our washing machine, quickly fixed it, and suggested different hoses for better reliability with our washer. We are very satisfied, and happy to have use of the washing machine again! Thank you!!

He tried a replacement part on the refrigerator, but it didn't work. Had to buy a new one. Also checked out the seal on the dishwasher and told us to replace the seal. He returned my call immediately and was right on time for the appointment. I would call him again if I need him and would recommend him.

I thought my dishwasher was broken, so I called Troy's number. The lady who answered took my info, and said that Troy was pretty busy that day (a Monday) but could probably fit me in the next day. He called me around noon and was at my house shortly thereafter. It turns out that nothing was wrong with my dishwasher, but he went through all the diagnostics he could, and inspected all the parts to make sure. What I appreciated most of all, besides his friendliness and general likeability, was that he was very nice about telling me the dishwasher was fine. I'm a woman, and sometimes male service providers can be really rude and dismissive in situations like this. But Troy wasn't patronizing or harsh, and I didn't come away from the visit feeling like an idiot. I mean, I personally feel like a bit of a bonehead for seeing a problem when there was none, but Troy certainly didn't do anything to make me feel that way. Thus, I would highly recommend Troy to anyone. Obviously, he didn't actually have to fix anything, but his thoroughness in making sure nothing was broken makes me sure that he would be equally thorough in fixing an actual problem.

Brakes went out on my washer. Called Troy. He actually answered and diagnosed the issue over the phone. This was great because he arrived, on time I might add, with all of the parts that he needed. The repair was made. he explained what he was doing along the way and showed me the broken parts. The fee was reasonable. This is the second time I have used Troy and I really do not even bother shopping around. If something breaks, then he is my first call. I would not hesitate to use him or recommend him to anyone

Troy is good at what he does. I had a couple problems breaking into his schedule but ours wasn't an emergency... The oven had a personality of its own for over a year. He came our home prepared to repair one thing just based on most likely Sears problem but found that it was the control module. He left, ordered one, and even called when the part was delayed (nice touch). When the part came in, he installed, everything worked and has ever since. What can I say... reasonably priced, Thanksgiving dinner was a success, and my dog liked him(no mean feat).

My GE profile dishwasher was not draining properly. The repairman I had used before no longer worked on dishwashers, so I found Troy on Angie's list. Troy called when he was on his way and arrived shortly after. It turned out that my dishwasher did not need any parts, it just needed a lot of gunk cleaned out of it. Troy spend quite a bit of time taking the dishwasher apart and degunking it. It now drains correctly again and I have a clean dishwasher. I think the price was quite fair for all the dirty work involved.

I called and he came right out after he finished another job. He was actually in the area. He was very friendly and professional. He got the job done quickly and I felt that the price was fair. I would definitely have him back if I had a problem with another appliance.

Troy arrived ina timely manner. He quickly determined what the problem was and demonstated the malfuction for my husband and myself. He told us what the cost of the repair would be. We ageed. He had the part with him on his truck and made the repair. He then demonstrated the functioning of the new part to us and put the appliance back together, leaving us the old part. Our oven is working fine again.
