TROY'S APPLIANCE SERVICE

Contacted Troy following good reviews here. He was very professional getting the model number and problem in advance. We made and appointment convenient for all, and he arrived on time and fixed the fridge. It cools properly now and I will use him for future appliance repair needs.

We called Troy on Wed evening and explained the problem. He said that he would be at our house the next morning between 8 and 8:30 am. He was there approx. 8:15 am and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within a half an hour.

The service area on his listing is inaccurate and should be corrected to exclude northern Allegheny County

Troy was wonderful so I loved him. He made time in his schedule for me. He was really busy and that was fine but then he made a long day for himself so that he could come over and help me because my dryer was broken. A part was not available and so he made an extra trip. He was really great. He was good in my house and good to work with. I felt that he was being very honest and I felt that he had a good price. I would call him again the next time that anything breaks just to see if he will fix it. I do not remember how much the service cost but it was less than $300. I would use him again in the future. In fact, his card is on my refrigerator right in front of me.

He was a good repairman. He went over the whole unit and fixed it within 20 minutes.

Very nice guy and very reliable. Helped us out after being very disappointed by Sears repair services. Unlike Sears, Troy showed up when scheduled and communicated with us throughout the entire process. Troy replaced the control panel in our 3 year old Kenmore 'Elite' dishwasher. Fair pricing, knowledgable guy. I would recommend Troy to anyone.

Troy was super responsive from the moment I called him. We talked about my refrigerator and the problems I was having with the icemaker. He said the parts were hard to come by but I knew where I could buy them directly. I purchased the unit on my own and had it delivered to my home. He came over the very minute he said he'd arrive and was kind, friendly, and even cleaned out my dirty freezer! He worked quick and my first ice cubes just dropped. He's a very personable, warm and attentive guy. Just call him!

He was a great person, very respectful, knowledgeable he did have the washer working but it stopped working because it is a piece of junk washer Cabrio . So we went and got a new washer

I called him up at noon, and he asked me to describe the issue I was having. I sent him a picture of the ID tag inside the refrigerator per his request, as he was already on his way to the parts store. He purchased a replacement part right then, and had my refrigerator running again later that same afternoon. By 4 o'clock everything was finished and fixed. He cleaned up everything and tested the fridge, he also gave me some maintenance tips. I kept his number in my phone and will be calling him if I ever need service again. He is a very personable guy!

I would never hesitate to call him again. I called the business this morning at around 11. He arrived before 2. He quickly diagnosed the problem, drained the water(using kids buckets and plastic cups I handed him) pulled out the washing machine, opened the pump and pulled out what was causing the problem. He also protected our bathroom floors(washer in the bathroom) from getting flooded by asking for bath towels. He left our bathroom nice and clean. He was very nice, courteous, and extremely pleasant person to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I liked his service, he was a really good guy to work with. He came and he was friendly. It was a late call that I made to him and he was able to come late that night. I will definitely call him again for further appliance repairs.

My freezer had been making noise for some time. I had a bad experience with another appliance repair person and just didn't want to go through that again. I thought the problem was the compressor, so I just took everything out of the freezer and unplugged it. I saw Troy's name on Angie's list so I took a chance and called. On the phone he asked me a couple of questions about the noise, When I turned the freezer back on and he heard the noise he was able to tell me it was the fan, not the compressor. He was able to get the part, called the morning he was coming out to confirm the time, showed up on time and fixed the freezer. The experience couldn't have gone better.

He was terrific. He was thorough, patient with and very kind to my inquisitive toddler, and ended up fixing two problems we had in the kitchen (the fridge water line as well as the stove). He was professional, quiet, and cleaned up afterward. A great experience all around.

I called Troy on Labor Day weekend; he returned my call promptly considering it was a holiday. He was able to schedule immediate service, gave a heads-up call when on his way and arrived on time. He conducted himself professionally, diagnosed the problem and had the parts with him to make my dryer repair that day. The entire service call took approximately 30 minutes and I could return to work sooner than expected. Troy is friendly and easy to work with and said if I had trouble with the dryer to call him. His price of $125 plus tax for the service call, parts and labor seemed fair to me. I would not hestitate to call Troy for service. This was my first Angie's List experience calling someone I didn't know and I was very pleased.

He is very good. He is the best. He was medium priced and very responsive. Where we live, he is within five miles. It is not far for when you need him in a pinch. He was very good. I'm sure he is a busy fellow, but he was very prompt. We had to get a new part and he ran and got it the same day. He is excellent.

Troy came to fix the dishwasher. He was on time, courteous, and got right to work. Even though the part that was needed wasn't available any longer, he was still able to repair the machine in about a half hour, and stop the leak. It works great again. Thanks Troy

called Troy late Friday afternoon and left a voice mail - his wife called back early Monday and called me twice more needing more info and set up a time for first thing Tuesday morning. At 8:15 AM the refrigerator was fixed. He is very knowledgeable and will use him again

Noticed freezer items thawing out and refrigerator warming up on Wednesday night. I started calling down the list of A rated Angie's list companies on Thursday morning only to find that appointments were a week or more away. I really didn't want to wait that long and continued to try additional companies when I came upon Troy's. He was about 6th on the list and wasn't immediately available but I received a return call relatively quickly. He was pretty well booked up but said he might be able to squeeze me in sometime in the afternoon as he had another repair to do in my area. He called me back around 4:30 on his way to his other appointment and said he'd call when he was finished with that one. It was after 6:00 and I began to think I would not receive a call but that was not the case. Troy called before 6:30 and offered to still come by. He arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. Thankfully he had the part I needed, even for a 10 year old fridge, and we were back up and running in no time. I know it must have been a long day for him but we were very thankful he hung in there for one more appointment that day. He was extremely polite and very professional. He may have been 6th on the list but he should have been my first call. He will be next time if I need an appliance repair. Thanks Troy!

Troy returned by call promptly. After I described the problem, he told me he needed the exact model number because it sounded like I meght need a new pump and he wanted o have the pump with him when he arrived. When I called him back with the information he needed, he told me he could be at my home the next afternoon. He took my cell phone number and told me he would call when he was on the way. This enabled me to stay work rather than stay at home waiting for him. He called me, as promised, and met meat my home. He took the old pump out and found that it was clogged with lint. he cleaned the old pump and reinstalled it, tlling me I didn't need the new one that he had brought with him. When is the last time you had a service person be so honest? I highly recommend Troy. He is professional, punctual, thoughtful, and honest.

After some back and forth to contact Troy, he listened to the problem and anticipated the problem with my front load washing machine; asked that I give him he make and model number over the phone so that he could order and come with the part in hand. Able to make an appointment around my difficult schedule within 5 days. Had the machine working in under 1/2 hour - on 1st try knew which component wasn't working ---- cleaned out the lint catcher in addition. Expensive repair, but major cost was for the part (electrical component) that needed to be replaced .... would have been much more expensive if Troy had followed the manufacturer's notes for the error code which suggested problems with 2 different components but Troy had enough experience to follow his knowledge rather than the manufacturer's code list. Left with no mess to clean up. (just washing to catch up on.
