Description of Work: The provider did not provide a service. Angies list asked me to review this provider almost 2 years post getting my driveway done and I assumed this was the provider that repaved my driveway - they are not the provider who did the service. I must have looked at their profile when searching for a provider. Don't know why Angies list asked me to review this provider 2 years post, when they did not do the work.

Description of Work: Left message - they called back and set appt.= Never showed up. They never wrote it down. Not a good way to run a business - They were sorry but we wasted my husbands 1/2 day off. Not good.

Description of Work: Remove old large driveway and shurbs, widen drive, remove and restore belgian block edging, provide topsoil and level area of removed shrubs, provide three rows of decorative red colored brick the width of driveway at various stress points where old driveway fractured. And last but not least, when I made them aware that the driveway now excellently completed, needed to be extended to the right to make it easier to pull in off the road and make the appearence more symetrical they agreed to do this at no extra cost! (this was not noticeable before the driveway was redone)

+ 2 moreThey did a good job with the paving and a sub par job with the trim stones that were included. The trim stones around the bed were not anchored by cement and quickly detached from the asphalt so that they were loose, crooked/uneven. ( I had them replaced by a landscaper). They also recommended not removing the entire old driveway and paving over it to save cost. There was a substantial price difference, however after less than two years, I can see areas where the old driveway and the new portions are settling at different rates. I wish I had done the job properly and not skimped - advice from them could have been better. All this said, they were pretty professional - quoting quickly, working back and forth through changes, and completing the work in a timely manner. I would use them again for a straight paving job.
Description of Work: They removed a portion of an existing driveway and replaced/expanded the overall driveway by excavating and installing base stone. They then paved over the remaining portions of the existing driveway and the new areas. Part of the job was installing trim stones embedded in the middle of the drive to prevent a crack from forming where a tree root passes under the pavement, as well as stones placed vertically to trim around an existing planting bed.

+ -1 moreMy husband selected them because my son-in-law had used them and was very pleased with them. Their price was more reasonable compared to the other estimates that we had gotten. It took them quite some time to get here and start the work, but once they did, the work was high-quality work. However, we never called them to badger them to come out. We were very pleased with their work. . They left the work site a little messy, but I called them and they came out and cleaned it up nicely. I'm satisfied with their services.
Description of Work: They resurfaced our driveway and also fixed some concrete sidewalk/step work.

+ 0 moreNote that I cannot remember the specific date nor exact costs. They replaced my front walkway with stone pavers and converted a step up walkway to one even with the driveway. We went to their office to pick out the design and materials desired. They were very patient and professional in customer service and advice. Provided various options and different cost levels. They also re-did our blacktop driveway. They did an excellent job and I continue to use them for services such as drive way sealing, etc. I would recommend them and use them again.

+ 2 moreThe overall job turned out great. Their team showed up on-time and worked in even less-than-ideal weather conditions. The only problem occurred when they used a crowbar to pull our outside power meter off of the house and accidentally caused the bus-bar to break inside causing us to lose power temporarily. The good news was that Pat came out after hours to provide us with temporary service until we were able to get the power meter box replaced (it was old and rusted, so it really did need to be replaced). The bottom line was that they provided great professional service.
Description of Work: Remove and shingle roof, install new gutters, remove siding, apply Tyvec and install new siding (including soffits).

Description of Work: Removed existing asphalt from the driveway, made a compact stone base and installed new hot asphalt surface. They returned later and sealed the driveway. They gave me a 5 year warranty.

+ -1 moreThe person who came out to do our estimate was very personable, explained what they would do/could do and why, and gave us numerous references. We opted not to go with the extras (pavers, drainage lines) and negotiated a fair price. During the dig out, a bit of our sidewalk was chipped off, and I asked them to repair it to match the concrete rather than fill it with the asphalt from the driveway. It looks okay, not a perfect match, but better than black! The finished driveway has a very clean look. I have to agree with other posters, though, that getting a phone call back is difficult.

+ -1 moreIt was shoddy work and the attempt to repair the job left it in worse shape than before the process. Multiple attempts to adjudicate the job were left with empty promises. A written promise to redo the job in Spring 2007 was issued in 12/06. This did not occur and many calls later, it was "scheduled" for 7/6/07 but not done. I finally requested a full refund to which Lynn Connolly agreed. It is now 7/31/07 and there has been no check and the house is sold. The entire series of events have left me frustrated and infuriated. When one of the company's principals indicates she can not get into the computer to access the records, it projects a very unprofessional attitude toward the client.
Description of Work: The job was to reseal an existing driveway, which required sealing the cracks and then putting th e finish coat over the entire driveway.

Description of Work: They came and did an extension on our existing driveway. They put down all new asphalt on the existing driveway, which was a couple hundred feet, and the new extension, which is about 30 feet by 20 feet.

+ -1 moreLet me start by saying, that the quality of work is excellent and we are very happy with the work done. My only complaint with this company is, that my phone calls were not always returned and sometimes it was like pulling teeth, to get updates on the job. It was a VERY long process. The official SOW was mailed on March 26 and the work was completed today May 29. The actually amount of work was 3 days worth (2 days of excavation and install of the stones, and 1 day for paving). If you are looking for quality work and are in no hurry to get it done, then I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Breakup and remove existing concrete driveway. Install 20 x 24 asphalt driveway. Install 2 downspout connectors and run 35' PVC pipe under driveway, with a pop top cap, for better yard drainage.
