They are the only company that ever responded from Angie's List. They were probably the best price around. Other people wanted way more for the same sized job. They showed up on time when they said they would be to do the estimate. When I have the money together, I would definitely call them. I still have their quote on file.

Contacted a few contractors for the job, and MJ Connelly provided fast and efficient service. Though we did not have any work completed, the appraisal was fair and everyone I spoke with was professional. We will be using them in the future (as we had to put off this project until Spring 2014)

It went very well, workers were very good and knowledgeable. Communication with management was hindered possibly by a holiday weekend slowing down scheduling and some confusion with the date of actual work being performed. Foreman was courteous and did what I asked about trimming a piece of concrete that was an eyesore. They did more work than on paper because there was way too much ballast (and had to be removed with 3 wheel barrels full of rocks) than need to do a good job. They did whatever they needed to do to get the job done right!

Did not hire this company. I have an old driveway that needed to be removed. Still not sure why it seemed so difficult for this company to put me on their schedule. I felt as if maybe, my driveway removal was not that big of a job for them. I also felt as if I was getting the "run around" from them.

Everything was wonderful. They gave me a 5% discount for being an angies list member.

The representative was early for the estimate appointment (a plus in my book since my schedule is hectic) and took the time to explain the work in detail. He gave us a very good price and a great warranty. The crew was on time. (again another plus)and did a professional job. All the work area was cleaned up. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Will use them again for other work too.

In JANUARY 2013, after having problems with our paver steps for a year or so (ants were digging out the sand in between the pavers) we contacted Connolly and asked them to come back out to look at our steps and fix them as needed. We would have been happy to pay to have them fixed properly. I called Connolly 2 or 3 times with no call back. I finally contacted Pat Davis, who had originally sold us our patio, and he said the office would call us or i should call him back on his cell phone. I had to call him back. The office finally contacted me and said someone would come out the following week to take a look at our steps. That happened twice. Months passed. LONG STORY SHORT: Someone from Connolly finally came out in MAY to look at the steps. He was SHOCKED i had waited so long for service and promised to get back to me in a week. WE ARE STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM CONNELLY. So original service was great, but don't expect to EVER hear from them once your check has been cashed.

I was pleased. They were courteous and thorough. They did not follow up with paperwork like they said. I requested the information but never received it.

First, the gentleman who came out for the estimate, really knew his stuff and he made some great suggestions to improve the project that my neighbor and i had not thought of. It was a tricky project as the old pavement had to be dug out and new put down while maintaining the proper pitch in 3 directions! - away from house, away from road and down the street. There was ~0 room for error and they nailed it. Large crew came and clearly knew what they were doing. It turned out great. I'd use them again and recommend them.

We are having ongoing issues with the concrete and cantilever coping. The form used for the cantilever coping was intended for an in-ground concrete pool and included a tile strip. We have a vinyl liner pool. There are forms available, specifically, for vinyl liner pools. The tile strip is ?T? shaped and the leg of the T comes out of the bottom of the concrete covering the liner track. We had two separate pool installation companies and Stegmeier, the manufacturer of the form confirm the incorrect form and tile strip were used. This is a problem going forward as the strip prevents access to the liner track. The contract was signed 11/7, work began shortly after that. Work concluded the beginning of December. After several phone calls with Pat Davis from Connolly, it was clear he was not going to take responsibility for the problem. We sent a letter to the owner expressing our concerns. Mr. Connolly came out to the house and said he would have the strip cut off now or any time in the future. We elected to have it taken care right away. After Connolly cut the tile strip to expose the tracking, we examined the work and discovered it was not up to the standard we had expected. Pieces of the tile strip were left hanging or partially cut and parts were not cut straight. Additionally, we noticed a crack in the concrete at one of the corners of the pool and it appears pieces of concrete have fallen out of the crack. We sent the pictures to Mr. Connolly multiple times and left several messages requesting that he contact us to discuss the work. We never received a reply from Mr. Connolly. After one attempt to reach Mr. Connolly, we were told he would be paged and either the office administrator or Mr. Connolly would return our call. Again, we did not receive a return phone call. We also have water pooling at the steps instead of running away from the pool as it should. Additionally, our contract called for dirt to be brought in to backfill around the concrete. The dirt was never delivered and backfilled. In addition to the quality of work performed on the pool, we also needed to contract a pool cleaning service to vacuum the significant quantity of concrete debris and dirt that fell in the pool. The cost for us to have the pool vacuumed was $325. We also discovered a trowel, a screw, and a piece of metal from the coping form in the pool during this process. After the pool cleaning service removed the bulk of debris, we spent another 5 days of our time cleaning the pool. We have still not removed the adhesive residue left on the pool liner from the form.

They were prompt, polite, clean, and quick. The experience was great, and all of the guoys - particularly the two I talked to repeatedly, explained everything thoroughly. A great experience, and my driveway (finally) looks great.

Very professional, punctual, easy to contact. Overall, excellent experience. A rarity these days - can attest to that after buiulding our own houses and having to deal with many subcontractors.

Called them to get an estimate to redo our driveway. They got back to me and had someone there the same day to give us the estimate. They suggested we use paver bricks in a ribbon to relieve areas that had stress cracks. We pick out the pavers and they gave us a date to start. The day before starting we thought it would be good to add additional pavers so i called.they were able to accomodate our request and keep to the original schedule. The crews showed up bright and early and worked all day finally completeing after 6 PM. Everything was cleaned up and we had a new driveway in one day. There was no problem using our coupon from Angie's list. Extremely hard working and professional from the office staff, to theestimator, and the crew.

My experience was good and the price was reasonable.

They did a great job and provided care instructions.

He did a great job. They came out when they said they would and they left when the job was done. They worked very hard in the heat. It only took them 1 day and they worked all day. They were courteous and they did everything I wanted them to do.

We thought the job went very well and were very impressed with the whole process. You could tell these guys have been around and knew what they were doing. The driveway looks great and my parents are extremely pleased. All of what Bill quoted us as what they would do was done. All of the workers were friendly and professional, the foreman was also very nice and talked to us after the job was done. Start to finish, it took about 3 weeks from 1st phone call to completion of the driveway. I would definitely use these guys again. When Bill came out to the house we asked for a few references, and he gave us a list of all the jobs they've done, it was 3-4 pages long and had specific addresses in case we wanted to go look at a job - yet another thing that impressed us. The price was very reasonable considering the work, supplies, equipment and materials they used.

Repaved over existing driveway after digging out failed portions. The new paving is of good thickness and has weathered the winter with no sign of cracks in the old place, though only time will really tell. It looks very good and they added a row of pavers where the worst cracking had been as a sortof expansion joint. So far, very happy with the result. Moticed that they used adequate material and not just s skim coat which is what i have seen some others use in their repairs.

They were great. I thought their prices were reasonable. They did a good job and I have no problems at all. They were professional and punctual. They did everything that was asked of them.

MJ Connolly did a fantastic job and provided a reasonable bid. Quality of the driveway is great and they really paid attention to details (proper grading etc.). The only small issue was with the reseeding of an area that had previously been gravel. And even in that case, the owner came out and fixed it as soon as I called with my concern. Would definitely recommend.

They came when they said they were coming and did a good job. Everybody that came was fine.

They were very fast and effiicient - it took them two days to dig out the driveway and repave it. We had an issue with a cap on the drain well being white and sticking up out of the driveway. This would have been a tripping hazard and we would have had problems with our HOA resulting in fines. They came out the next business day, put in a flat cap and painted it to match the driveway. They are extremely responsive and reliable. We would definitely use them again.

Mike Connolly and his team were very prompt to respond to my initial request for a quote. He gave us a very reasonable quote, partly due to the slower winter season. Once we decided to move forward, the work was scheduled within less than a week and completed in 2 days. Amazing. We could not be happier with the responsiveness, smoothness, and pleasantness of working with Mike's company and seeing the quick results.

Within 4 months, the driveway was sinking and cracking. I called and the phone calls were very pleasant with Lynn. No one ever returned my call. I called Lynn again and was told Michael would come within one week. NO SHOW. I called Lynn again and she was on the other line and would call back......never called back. FOUR months later Michael came out. He said, "Don't worry, it is covered. Wait until next year and lets see if it gets worse". It got worse and I called a year later. Same thing-no return calls. Finally Michael came to look a month later. He said, "Don't worry, it is covered. Leave it alone for a year but I will send someone out to seal the cracks". By now the driveway is sinking and water is sitting on top. Eight months later in the spring, I called again and spoke to Lynn. It took another month for Michael to come look and he said the best way to fix it is to heat it up and add new material on top. He said you won't be able to tell when it is finished except for the color and once it is sealed, it will look great. Again no one came when promised but one month later, he came to make repairs. It looks awful. Still cracking. I hired another company to seal the driveway and the first question asked was,' Who did this!" They said it was an awful job as stated by other reliable sealing companies. Once the job was done and they had my money, it was a horrible experience getting them back. I would never recommend them!
