We've got the expertise to install everything from a hot water heater, an air source or a geothermal heat pump, to solar assist central air conditioning. Description of Work: We had our furnace red tagged by the gas company. After some difficulty with another vendor, we found Gary & Sons on Angie's List. They came and gave us a quote the same day we called, and the next day they installed the furnace while we were at work. If it had not been for the large box in the trash, and the fact we had heat, we would not have known they were there. They left almost no evidence of their visit, cleaning up well after themselves. The furnace works great, and I would highly recommend this company.

Gary & Sons Inc. would like to respond to the submission made by Mrs. Stormer. In 2008 we installed an add-on heat pump, with a ten year parts and 5 year labor warranty, to Member’s existing oil furnace. In 2009 we were called to Member’s residence because her oil furnace, which was not installed by Gary and Sons, was not working. Our service technician found the primary control board to be at fault. In order to provide our customer with heat, our service technician hooked up the heat pump to operate as the primary heat source until we could get the new A/C ready control board. Member had another company come in and replace the faulty A/C ready control board with a non-A/C compatible part. They also disconnected the original dual-fuel thermostat and installed a simple on/off thermostat. They got the oil furnace running, but as a result disabled the heat pump. Member then called us because her heat pump was now not working. She agreed on aquoted price to install the proper A/C ready control board, rewire the system, and reinstall the original thermostat. After we got her entire system back in operation, Member said she would call us to pay for the repair with a credit card. As it turned out, she did not think she should pay for the service because of the warranty she got with her heat pump installation. The disagreement lies in the fact that it was the oil furnace which had defective parts, and therefore was not covered under warranty. The work involved to repair the heat pump portion of the system was caused by a third-party and also was not covered under warranty. Based on these facts, Member chose to rate our company with an overall grade of “F”, which we feel is not deserved. We provided a service to repair Member’s system in a timely manner (she gave us a B for punctuality and responsiveness) and charged her a reasonable rate to do so. At Gary & Sons Inc. it is our goal to offer our customers the finest in home comfort products and service, to keep our prices at a fair and competitive rate, and to satisfy our customers to the most feasible extent possible.

good experience with them.
Description of Work: Unsure of the date but my Heat stopped working. I called and they responed the sameday. They didn't stop until it was fixed. Very friendly and patient when they kept replacing what they thought was wrong. Finally got it taken care of and only charged me for the service call.
