Jeff LaCarubba came to evaluate the state of our Pushmatic panel (don't see those much anymore) and to provide an estimate on installation of a few GFCI outlets in the bathrooms and kitchen. We were concerned that the panel might be outdated or we might be overloading it. Jeff was able to come out within a few days of the request. He and his assistant (I'm sorry, I can't recall his name) were very friendly, professional, and helpful. Jeff said the Pushmatic box was fine, had a bit of room to expand, and no upgrade would be needed unless we drastically increased our electrical demand (such as by putting an addition on the house). I am always impressed with someone who recommends against doing work that's not really needed. On the day the work was done, Jeff & crew arrived in a timely manner, performed the work thoroughly, and left no mess for me to clean up. All the guys were friendly, and Jeff even spent a couple minutes becoming acquainted with our family dog, which meant a lot to me. The final price was reasonable and was right on point with the original estimate. We are happy with the work they did and will call them again the next time we need electrical work done.

Promptly returned call and scheduled appointment for estimate. Work was scheduled quickly. The price was excellent and the quality of work seemed very good. Very friendly as well.

See above - I wrote the story in response to the first question. I highly recommend this company. I regret I do not rememer his name as I type this almost 2 years later. My file on the project is in another location. The story about his "above and beyond the call of duty" work was easy to remember.

Jeff was great from start to finish. I called Jeff on 04/03/2012 at about 8:30 AM and he called me back by 10:30 AM and left me a message. I touched base with him and scheduled an appointment for the upcoming saturday at 9 AM so he could provide me with an estimate. Saturday came and he was right on time came in was pleasant and funny. We went down to the basement and talked about what I was looking for and he explained some things to me about electrical code and such and gave me a price. I found the price to be very reasonable for the service to be provided so we agreed on a date for him to come back out and do the work. We set the appointment for the following Wednesday the 11th at 4:00 PM. I received a call the day before our appointment just to make sure everything was still in place and Wednesday at 4 he was right on time again. Came in with a helper and they got straight to work. Finished in about 2 hours total. The work even exceeded my expectations for the price. I paid Jeff and he sent me an email receipt the following day with a detailed description of the work performed. Very pleased and will keep Jeff in mind for the future.

Jeff and his assistant Bob arrived on time. Jeff and I discussed the details of the work to be done (install new fluorescent lighting and switches, add an outlet and repair another). He and Bob got their tools and materials and immediately went to work. A few hours later they were done with the job and Jeff reviewed all the work with me. Jeff is a hard working professional, and very pleasant. I can't say enough nice things about him and his assistant - but I'll try: Polite, Pleasant, Professional, Informative, Careful, and Thorough. I'm pleased as punch with their work!

Very pleased with the service. Contractor was on time, preliminary quote was accurate. Contractor cleaned up all debris. They were extremely professional and did not demand payment until completeion of job.

Excellent! With the suoerbowl less then a week away and three days before flat screen TV delivery/install, I was told we would need an outlet over the fireplace wall to mount the new TV. LaCarrubba was the ONLY electrician who returned my call the same day. He was able to fit me in the next day and called to let me know he was on the way 15 minutes before our scheduled appt. They arrived on time and completed the job without a problem. He and coworker were neat, professional and very nice! Great job and saved our Super Bowl party! I would definitely use them again and recommend to friends.

This is the second time I have used La Carruba in the past 6 months. I think they are great. They set up a time to come fairly quickly after I called them. They are polite and professional. They had some suggestions which were helpful. They did their job very well and were careful about how everything looks.

They came out and gave us a quote several days before performing the work. They were punctual, professional and did a great job at a great price.

Outstanding job. Polite, Professional, Informative, Careful, and Thorough! Jeff and helper-Bob arrived promptly at 9:00am. Jeff surveyed the area where the work was to be done and he went over the details of the operation with me. He made sure I understood what he would be doing and asked if I had questions. The main electrical line to my house had been placed in a bad spot years before ? (don't know how it passed inspection). Jeff installed a Mast so the Service line goes cleanly from the pole to the Mast with no obstacles. A very sturdy guy-wire was also installed and during Hurricane Irene, that Mast did not budge! Jeff installed a new Meter and Bob covered and weather-proofed the hole in the wall that was behind the old meter. He also caulked everything including a couple areas they didn't even work on! Jeff installed a new panel (we'd outgrown the last one) and separated many of the lines that had been grouped on one or two circuits. Jeff neatened up and secured all the wiring that was in the ceiling of the laundry room (where the work was being done) because some prior electrician did not secure the wires to the joists (and they were just drooping down). They ran into some difficulty with a junction box and (due to the hour) had to return the following afternoon to finish the job. That night I discovered that one of the circuits was not working so I texted Jeff to give him a heads up. He got back to me within the hour! The next day, Jeff and Bob arrived promptly at 2:30pm to complete the job. When all was said and done, Jeff went over everything, all the details with me, again making sure any questions I might have were answered. BTW - Jeff insisted on NOT being paid until AFTER the electrical inspector came out to the house and passed the work!

He was very good. He was very responsive; he came within a day or two from when I called. His assistant was wonderful. I couldn’t be happier. He is a pro.

The company was very prompt and professional. They responded to our request/questions promptly.

Jeff (the owner) & Matt showed up exactly at 9 am as requested. They had many obstacles trying to run the wiring from the basement up to the attic (3rd floor). Our house has plaster walls and they tirelessly battled until they achieved success. Jeff decided to run an extra electrical box up to the attic at no extra charge, in case we ever want to add recessed lighting or a jacuzzi. We were given several options as to how we wanted the exhaust fan to work. The hole in they cut in the plaster was such a clean cut. We were worried about that the most. We settled on 3 toggle switches. Full light / night light / exhaust fan. It is amazing! The night light feature is AWESOME & the fan is super quiet. The bedroom closet light were installed so quickly, I never even saw them do it. They rewired the door bell & we forgot to tell them about the side door bell. The had to reconfigure the wiring and did the side bell at no extra charge. They work from 9 am until a little after 5pm WITHOUT a break. I bought lunch & they didn't even take a break to eat. I had to pack up the sandwiches for them to take home. I felt we got more than our monies worth.

He was very professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. I ended up not using him because another electrician was recommended to me. I felt he was very honest and straight forward. I felt he definitely knew his stuff, he was a very courteous and nice man.

The work was top notch and very quickly done.

Jeff was quick to respond to my phone message. He was at my home within the hour of my call. My issue was an all electric range that was not working. After checking all the connections and replacing the range into its position, all worked well. It took a total of 20 minutes. I was pleased with his punctuality and knowledge.

Jeff LaCarrubba gave me an email estimate since it was fairly simple, straight-forward work and after getting a few more in-person quotes from other electricians, we went with LaCarruba, although I was slightly apprehensive about the email quote since it was very low for the work we needed to have done. I assumed that he had low-balled the price to get the job and then would come to our house and tack on extras after we had already committed to hiring him... Quite to the contrary, Jeff was honest, professional, friendly, and did fantastic, neat and quick work. He responded promptly to my emails and got the permit for our electric work the same day we hired him and was able to come out to do the work within a week. He was also very accommodating. We had other electricians tell us that they would have to charge extra to put the fan switch where we wanted it, but Jeff put it in with no complaints and no extra charge! He also added a dimmer switch and fan speed control, which was not part of the quote, for free! We also ran into issues with a lack of space in the spot we wanted our light switch relocated to, but Jeff worked around that by adding a tandem switch. I'm cutting this short because I don't want to make this review so long that no one will want to read it, but I could go on and on about how great Jeff LaCarrubba's work, price, and attitude are!

Beautifully. He came when demolition was complete to do the wiring and the rough-ins, allowing the other workers to have light and ventilation, but not subjecting my final finishes to ruin. He came back as needed twice more, to do more of the finish work. Jeff also helped me decide where to place a fixture so that the light was where it was needed, but it also accommodated a sloping ceiling. The pendant light I purchased couldn't be cut down to size, so Jeff found "couplings" and designed his own. It looks perfect! We also started out with was estimated, but ended up adding to the original job.
