Very well. This was a complicated job (in fact the first electrician who looked at the job recommended LaCarruba as the only one he would trust to do it. In addition to the wiring it involved running a gas line through the house to the generator. Everything was done professionally, neatly; work was complimented by the inspector. They did their own carpentry and tile work; brought in a plumber for the gas line. Expensive but given the complexity of the job and how well it was done worth it.

Very well arrive in morning worked around my schedule.

As soon as the permits came in, the work was scheduled and promptly and expertly performed. He also coordinated the plumbing contractor (though I could have used my own if I had one I preferred). Everything went according to plan UNTIL we failed our electrical inspection primarily due to a little rust in our old panel. Rather than change the price of the generator install, which many contractors would absolutely have done, Jeff charged us an additional $150 for the cost of the panel box but NOT the half day of labor! I recommend Jeff LaCarrubba for generator installation and I will use his services next time I need an electrician.

Everything was great... The electrician was on time, friendly and courteous. The job was done correctly and we haven't had any issues.

The motor in the attic fan was replaced and the switch was moved from the attic to the hallway.

They promptly troubleshot the problem and resolved the issue. No muss, no fuss.

. The owner made an appointment for an estimate on the work to be done. He arrived promptly on schedule. He was friendly, courteous and professional. We scheduled a time for the work to be completed. Everything went smoothly and I am very satisfied with the electrical upgrades. .

It went very well from the first call, to the visit for the estimate and the work done. They are professional and honest and pleasant to work with. My in-laws have used them too and they are very patient with seniors. I felt they were quite capable and honest, and felt confident with the work performed.

The office staff is extremely friendly and responsive. They were very prompt and professional, and did an excellent job. They were very neat and cleaned up before they left. They also wanted to make sure everything is exactly the way I wanted it before they left. We will be using them for future electrical services.

LaCarruba was a pleasure to deal with. Jeff, the owner, came out promptly to give me a quote for the work. Unlike other electricians who quoted for the job, Jeff was willing to do exactly what I wanted done. His price was well below the other quotes I received. We had to reschedule twice die to weather and LaCarubba was very easy to reschedule with. The morningof the job Jeff and his crew showed up right on time. Roberto and Orlando, the electricians Jeff brought to do the work, were great. they went to work with respect for the house, used drop clothes to minimize any potential mess and cleaned up after themselves. Most importantly, they got the work done properly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to use LaCarruba again.

I purchased a lovely 1935 Dutch Colonial home with knob & tube wiring. The knob & tube had to be removed to satisfy the insurance company. After calling 3 other electrical companies with no reply, I contacted LaCarrubba. Within just days I received a quote and we scheduled the work. They were prompt, clean, always left lights on for when I arrived home from work, and they cleaned up at the end of each day. I am very pleased with their work!

i needed this work done quickly as I was scheduled for surgery and it had to be done beforehand. I have used this company often and will continue to do so. They call back quickly and are very accommodating. He had to go up in the attic to find a line he could run down the wall to put in the new outlet. The work was done very well, with minimum bother to me.

office is great to deal with, electricians were punctual, and did clean, neat work. the price was better than other estimates. we would strongly recommend to anyone and will be using them for all of our future electrical work.

I usually find that having contractors come into my home is usually an aggravating experience, at best. They're either late, take longer than estimated to do the work, leave a mess, go over budget - or all the above. With that in mind, working with LaCarrubba Electric was a huge, pleasant surprise. They were awesome and I will absolutely use them again for any electrical work in my home. The day after I called them, one of the owners came to my house to put together an estimate: he was very polite, looked at the job site and listened attentively to what I wanted done. That same day I received an estimate in my email which I approved. I asked that the work be done ASAP but said that if it were done within 1-2 weeks, that would be okay. Then, the next morning, the office at the company emailed (and called) me to say that a crew would be working in my area that day and that they could come by my house and complete my job that same afternoon. I gladly accepted the offer and we agreed to a time and the work crew showed up exactly when they promised. They were extremely courteous and professional, did exactly what was agreed to, stayed within budget, and completed the job in less time than they had estimated. And they left the job site clean, as if they hadn't been there. As I said, I'll use these guys for all my electrical work from now.

They were excellent!! The owner and his team were extremely punctual and professional. They did a great job too. All the lighting was installed as they said it would be with minimal damage to walls or ceilings. In addition, they finished the job when they said they would even though I added one more room to the original agreement.

They were on time, the price was exactly on what they said and it's reasonable. They were pleasant to deal with and they were just great!

Owner/jeff came out himself to do estimate. Bid was competitive with another we got and well below a third. Based on Angie's list reviews went with him. Workers arrived as scheduled on day of install and were here all day to ensure all work got done in one session. they told me what they were doing and at the end walked me through the work they had done. They were even polite, apologizing for the noice they were making as we had a newborn. Communication was also good. They got back to me the day I called to schedule an estimate, I got emails in between concerning when they would be coming and how to pay. Overall good experience Only downside, if any, was it took a few days for the scheduling, but that's probably a good sign as it shows they are in demand.

Before I describe the quality of the work, I want to emphasize what really sets LaCarruba Electric apart from other contractors: communication. Most other electricians were slow to respond to my inquiry about the work I wanted done. LaCarruba was prompt and detailed. Hearing that everything could be done just made me want more, and with every new request and update I got meaningful responses from both the electrician himself and his office manager. I go on about good communication because my closing date just happened to coincide with Hurricane Sandy! My area is inland and probably had less than its share of physical damage, but many people were without power for weeks anyway. LaCarruba had a lot of emergency work to do for existing and new customers, but it had accepted my job before the storm, and after the storm, IT KEPT ITS PROMISE AND KEPT IN TOUCH. Of course my job, which wasn't any kind of emergency, got pushed back a few weeks, but I always knew where things stood, and what would happen when. That is sadly far from the norm in any kind of business, and I think it deserves a special mention. LaCarruba's well-informed office manager was a large part of this success. Some contractors just can't see how much less work they're able to handle and how many jobs they don't even get due to the false economy of not even having e-mail, let alone an office. Finally, the work. I had ceiling lights and wall switches installed in new locations; many other lights and fans replaced with upgraded units; outlets added on new circuits; the electrical panel upgraded, and automatic timers installed for the porch and garage lights. I had new phone and cable jacks installed, unneeded ones remove, and what felt like miles of ugly exposed cables stripped. I also had home theater wiring put inside the walls for both the flatscreen and a pair of wall- or shelf-mounted speakers. But my favorite is the kitchen under-cabinet lighting, on its own new wall switch. It needed a new circuit for the step-down transformer, but that's what electricians are for! The work was excellent and tidy. They disassembled large things like the old fans for easy disposal, and disposed of the rest themselves. The principal, Jeff LaCrruba, and his assistants did everything in four days, always arriving and finishing at the arranged dates and times. Jeff gave thoughtful advice that made me feel we had a good plan, not just a punch list. They supplied basic fixtures, and had no trouble with the fixtures and fans that I bought. (Shout-out to Wage Lighting and Electric in Feasterville/Trevose for selection, ordering, and value.) Oh, I also had bathroom exhaust fans added. I was very lucky to have the ductwork already in place; I'm sure LaCarruba could have gotten them vented to the outside, but I didn't put them to that particular test. The storm kept me from having the electrical work done before the interior painting, but the painters were used to working around electrician schedules, and came back afterward for the bit of touch-up work needed. And I'm very glad I had an electrician to do everything so that I could tell the cable/phone installer he didn't need to make any holes or string any wire. Which they tend to do without asking you, in random and highly visible places because they lack carpentry training. This review is late because I had some trouble posting it. I could have written it immediately because it was clear then that everything was just right.

We had a great experience. We called three places for estimates for the work, which was fairly sizable. When he came for the estimate, Jeff was punctual, professional, and was very helpful in showing us what we could do with the space and how to best get it done. The estimate was sent via email a couple of days later. LaCarrubba came in about a grand less than the first place, which came highly recommended. I'm always skeptical when the price difference is *that* large, but the third company came in around the same as LaCarrubba. We got a really good sense from Jeff, and decided to go with them. Maryann, the Office Manager at LaCarrubba, was my main email contact, and she always responded quickly. That was a big help, since I can't always take time out of my work day to have a discussion with a contractor, but it takes me 30 seconds to check my email and read a response. The work itself was done over two Saturdays. It turned out great. The one hiccup was, while working on the circuit breaker in the basement, Jeff inadvertently disconnected a wire that went to the overhead lighting in our living room (the wiring in this house is a bit old and haphazard, so it probably wasn't properly labeled!). He came as soon as he could on Monday and fixed it for us. When it was all said and done, the work looked great. We will definitely use them again.

Because of the huge demand for these generators resulting from Hurricane Sandy's power outages, Jeff warned me that it would be several months before they could get a generator for me. He notified me a couple weeks before the expected delivery and set up a date to install the generator. The day before the work was to be done, they called to tell me that Jeff would arrive between 9:00 and 9:30. He showed up on Tuesday, 4/2, at 9:20 and had the unit installed and everything nicely cleaned up by approximately 4:00 PM. The plumber he hired to install the natural gas connection arrived Wednesday afternoon and had the gas connected and the generator running in a couple hours. He, too, did nice work. Thursday afternoon Jeff arrived to explain the operation of the system and to answer any questions we had. He did an excellent job of explaining how the system worked and the maintenance required. On Friday the electrical inspector arrived to check the work and he was very pleased with what he found. Jeff had rewired my existing panel to separate the neutral and ground wires which really impressed the inspector. Through the entire process Jeff and his coworker were very professional, polite,and friendly. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience and I can give LaCarrubba my highest recommendation.

They came and did a thorough walk-thru and took extensive notes. We spent 30-45 minutes going through the house and talking about all of the projects. He was very professional and seemed well versed in his field. We completed the walk through and he was to send me a full quote within a few days. That is the last I heard from them. In fairness, Hurrican Sandy hit the following week so maybe there was just took much other business and my stuff got lost. Nonetheless, I was frustrated.

It was a terrific experience from start to finish. I called LaCarruba Electric to come out and provide me a quote for the addition of (4) new outlets and new lighting fixtures for the basement. In addition I asked Jeff LaCarruba to check some wiring in my master bathroomto determine if wiring from a workout room to the bathroom was in code and safe. Jeff came out on the day and time he committed to. He looked the job over and said he would get back to me in a couple of days with a quote and he did. The work was scheduled. Jeff and his helper showed up on the day and time they said they would be there. They did the job better to my expectations and they did not charge me anything additional for the work they performed in the bathroom which required a new line to be run from the bathroom to the attic. They did all the work quickly and professionally; cleaned up thoroughly; and we did a walkthru of all the work which was performed togeather. I would recommend LaCarrubba Electric to anyone needing any kind of electrical work performed.
