Scott was fantastic. I am all about first impressions and since the first time we spoke over the phone I had nothing but a good experience. He was very professional and understood my time concerns (We signed the contract a few days before we left for a week vacation and the inspection needed to be completed within a certain number of days). After several communications, we were able to find a time that worked for both our schedules and he came out to complete the home inspection. He provided us with a binder with information for the new home and how to maintain it. It also provides us a nice organized place to keep our paperwork for what we need for future reference down the line. Although I felt like I was being pesky and asking a lot of questions, he was so calm and answered every one of my questions. He was very thorough taking his time going through the home. I don't feel like the price was too bad as he also had an exterminator come out and also did a radon test, which was all included. Although he did not find many issues, which is fantastic (the house is very well maintained), I feel more comfortable with our purchase and definitely recommend his services!

Overall this was a great experience. With any home inspection, I expected problems with the home and Scott was not only able to point out some issues but also the remedy and severity. He offered his opinion openly, he was honest and forthright and he was on time and professional. Scott also took ownership of the transaction from the start, calling agents and helping arrange the inspection times the which made the entire process smooth. There's no A+ for the rating system so he'll have to settle for a A for this inspection. Thanks Scott!

Scott arrived on time and was very professional. He walked through the house with us educating us on his findings. He does not do termite inspections BUT he had a company come that he works with at the same time to do that and he handles paying him for those services. Our inspection report was given to us with in 2 days of the inspection. We will definitly be using Scott and Landmark again in the future.

Extremely professional. Detailed in his notes. Did not leave any stone un turned. He went through every outlet and light switch from the foundation to the peak of the roof. After settling in, every recommendation he provided was 100% correct and it allowed us to budget for renovations and maintenance appropriately. He provided a "my home booklet" on how to operate your home. He provides everything you could ever need as a new home owner. He gives a useful life expectancy chart for all major home appliances and repairs. I would recommend him to anybody and have recommended him to many people already.

Scott performed a home inspection for a house we were interested in buying back in November of 2014. Scott came recommended to me from my Sister and her husband who used Scott for their home inspection earlier in the year. Scott was very easy to schedule time with and he drove all the way out to Somerset county, NJ, which is a lot farther than I would have expected him to go! Scott showed up early to the inspection and was very thorough. He prepared a great big binder full of information above and beyond just his inspection which gave us some good information about life expectancy for major appliances and parts of a home. He took the time to go over each and every part of this with me, rather than just handing me a packet filled with papers which i greatly appreciated. As a first time home buyer, its hard for me to say how good he is as I do not have anything with which to compare his work. However, what prompted me to write this review was the numerous comments I received from other people... When showing the house to family and friends, i've had a few people say "I can't believe your inspector found that!", which seems like a pretty good endorsement. I respect that Scott knows the limits of his expertise as well. Our home has aluminum wiring and he recommended to bring in a licensed electrician to sign off on the electrical system of the house. I appreciate his recommendation, even if it did cost us a little bit more in the end. I would rather pay a little bit more to know for certain that it is ok! In the end, Scott found plenty of things that needed attention from this house. Some were major, many were minor. But I feel more comfortable knowing that we are more aware of the ins and outs of our new home! Since then, I have already recommended Scott to another family member and would recommend him to any other friends and family.

Scott inspected a home for me that I had put in an offer on. He was polite and extremely thorough. He took 3 hours to inspect a 4-bedroom home--everything from the roof to the heating system. He caught two significant problems; catching one of them saved me thousands of dollars because it had to be fixed by the owners instead of me. I would enthusiastically recommend him to friends.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Landmark Inspections. When we first started looking for a Home Inspection company, we started with the best reviewed companies according to Angies List. While all of the companies seemed comparable, after speaking with Scott we decided we wanted to hire him to complete our inspection. Unfortunately for us, Scott was already booked for the timeframe allotted for our inspection. Scott went out of his way and rearranged his schedule to accommodate us. Our inspection experience was great. Scott arrived on time and explained every step of the process while I followed him around the house. The difference between Scott and the inspector of our old house was night and day. I can honestly say that Scott went above and beyond, pointing out every issue or potential issue that he came across. Our report came right on time that next day with the preliminary radon test a little while after. Scott was courteous, professional, and made sure to address any issues or concerns that I had. This is the second time I have used Scott and he is completely knowledgeable and professional. He provided a thorough explanation to me regarding the issues and was so patient with all my extra questions. In addition, he is very respectful of the property, even wearing booties to protect flooring in the home. Scott is also very personable and great to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. One other note- his prices are very competitive.

Along with the all of the qualities that I already knew him for, he even gave me the option of paying him for fewer services than I was contracted for, due to the extreme problems he quickly found with the house, making a full inspection wasteful. I gratefully accepted his offer, thereby cutting the price of his services by half!

A large house, 3 floors and finished basement. 4 hours, 20 minutes. Scott was thorough and knowledgeable. Not alarmist but willing to point out issues in a practical manner. It was a long inspection, but Scott is personable.

Scott was asked to inspect two of my homes that I was going to purchase, he did a fantastic job. He checked every little thing in the home such as all wall sockets ceiling fans,all ac units for temperature change, refrigerators walls,all faucets and windows, the roof, attic space,basement, and everything in between. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a complete home inspection, and he is great to answer all questions that you have to ask about any aspect of your home. A+ in my book. The whole process from beginning to end was beyond smooth and exceeded our expectations. As soon as I initiated a request on the company's website for an inspection, Scott called me within a few hours and we booked the inspection for my return from vacation. On the day of our inspection he called to confirm the time and location; and he even got there early to set up his equipment so we could start right on time. He checked every possible item he could during our home inspection to ensure it was thorough and complete - he was on the roof to fairly assess it, in the attic to determine insulation quality, you name it he did it! At the end he reviewed the report with us, and gave us a complete binder to store our report as well as different checklists and to-dos for maintaining a home and all of its equipment for optimum service. We both feel very confident in our decision now to purchase this home after Scott's amazingly thorough inspection.

We had 10 days to complete a home inspection on a 50+ year old house and negotiate a price on a $400k+ residence in Maple Glen, PA. We called a number of home inspectors on Angie's list including the one recommended by my real estate agent. Scott Freeman responded first and told me he was booked for two weeks. When I explained the urgency he rearranged some things and came out within three days. I felt the inspection was thorough as he worked his way from the roof down to the basement. He fired up the air conditioner and then the heater, registered temperature changes with a laser heat monitor. He ran the faucets, bathtubs, toilets fully to test water pressure or any thing out of the ordinary. He let it run during the 3+ hours of the inspection to check for any leaks (found a leak in the laundry tub). Tripped GFCI's and tested every outlet for connections and grounding (discovered a few that were not grounded). Popped electrical panels checked for circuit capacity. As he worked his way around he encouraged you to follow and explained what he saw and how he assessed the existing conditions. He was very professional in dress and demeanor. Inside the house at all times he had a shoe bootie cover on, treating the house as if we were the acutal owners, even though we hadn't purchased the property yet. 2+ hours into the inspection, honestly I was getting tired as it was hot outside and it had started pouring rain. However he used this opportunity to keep going, documenting rain water issues. I highly recommend his services and will use his expertise again on anything home inspection related.

Scott from Landmark Inspections was very thorough in his inspection of my new home and professional from start to finish. Before the inspection, he asked if I was familiar with the process and told me what to expect from his service. During inspection, he encouraged me to follow him through and around the house and explained everything that he was testing & observing in terms I could understand. He not only noted necessary immediate repairs, but also things to monitor and ideas for improvement. I learned a lot from him as a first- time home buyer, and was happy to take note of some positive attributes of the house as well. Scott provided a nice binder with information on normal life expectancy & cost of repairs of various items, tips for operating the home, and much more. He sent his descriptive and easy-to-read report, with pictures included, within 24 hours. I highly recommend Landmark to anyone looking for an inspector in the area!

He was very informative and explained things to us as he did the work. He was very professional and wore bags on his shoes to avoid tracking dirt inside the home. I loved that he arrived 20 minutes early.

Scott was awesome. He arrived before I did and did a thorough inspection. He was on site for 3 hours and check every nook and cranny. He knows his stuff and takes you along for the ride. He showed us every aspect of the home and I couldn't be happier with his service. The binder he gave us with all the info on common home information and life expectancy of all the materials on homes was great. With I could give him higher than an A rating.

Scott Freeman arrived at the property before I did so he could speak to the seller. When i arrived he was already inspecting the roof and was so thorough that he included a single popped nail in the shingle. As we entered the house Scott immediately stopped and put booties on his shoes so he wouldn't track dirt in the house. I joked at him that they looked ridiculous but he reminded me that it was important to make it look as though he was never there. Scott took great care in returning everything to the way it was prior to his arrival. Even going as far as to reposition the blinds after inspecting the windows. I had some concerns with the property before Scott arrived and he checked them all without question. My favorite part about Scott was that he took to the time to explain certain things to me in a manner that would make sense to someone that doesn't know much about home improvement. He was incredibly friendly and even told us some inspection horror stories to make us feel better about any defects he found. He never uttered a swear or judged the house in any manner other than its structural integrity(even though i have the mouth of a sailor). All in all he was a true professional who really knew his stuff and would recommend him ten times over.

We met Scott because my husband owns a restaurant and Scott is a customer of his. This is the first time we are buying a home and I am extremely anxious about everything that could go wrong, so it was important to me that we have an inspector who would educate us and leave no stone unturned. Scott did just that. He was extremely accommodating in finding a time that would allow both my husband and I to be there for the entire inspection and showed up early so that he was ready to go when we arrived. He took the time to explain every single step he took in inspecting the home and answered every question I had in a way that was understandable. We had previously been told by family and friends that a home inspection should take about 1.5 hours. Scott was with us for 3.5 hours rigorously inspecting every inch of the property (which is only 1400 sq ft). He left us with a detailed binder which included information about everything we will need to know to be responsible home owners and put my mind at ease about the practicality of fixing the issues that he had found. Scott was clearly very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a home inspector or radon test.

Scott Freeman of Landmark Inspections was very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. I was able to follow him around and ask all the questions I wanted. He took time to answer my questions, and also explained everything he did and saw. It is a distressed property, and Scott found a couple of issues that could have been deal breakers. He offered to limit the inspection to major systems and skip the small stuff like downspouts, light fixtures, etc, which reduced the price of the inspection more than $100. That was his idea. He could have just continued with the full inspection and charge me the full price, but he was thinking of his customer, not himself. I highly recommend Landmark Inspections.

Scott took his time, rushed nothing and ensured that he covered every aspect of the house in his examination. He also explained everything in layman's terms so I easily understood his conclusion and recommendations. I would highly recommend Scott and Landmark Inspection, LLC to friends and family !
