Scott from Landmark Inspections performed a home inspection of the home my husband and I are purchasing. We are first time home buyers and this is our first home inspection. We were very impressed with Scott from beginning to end. Before the inspection, he was responsive and communcative, answering every one of our phone calls and emails. The inspection was thorough and Scott and his trainee inspector (also Scott) took the time to answer our questions and explain everything they were doing/finding. The inspection did not feel rushed or like Scott was trying to get through it to move on to the next. The report he sent us (48 hours after the inspection, great turn around time) was very throrough, contained useful information about our future home, and clearly laid out a heirarchy for recommended repairs. We also got a termite inspection, sewer scope inspection (which was also performed incredibly professionally by Melvin from Knox & Knox Solutions), and raydon test. In total, we paid a lot of money for these services, but it was money very well spent. We would not hesitate to recommend Scott, Landmark, and the other service professionals with whom he contracts.

My experience was pretty amazing. Scott went above and beyond. He was very thorough. He answered every question and gave us peace of mind. There was another man there training and he was just as professional.

Landmark Inspections did a great job when it came to my house inspection. Scott was a wealth of knowledge. He also cared a create deal about his customers safety and therefore took the time to ensure that the house was going to be safe to live in. Landmark also provides each customer with a booklet informing each future homeowner the average cost of repairs and upgrades as well as some tips and tricks for DIY people.

As a first time home buyer at the age of 26, I was not sure what to expect with the inspection. Scott was a pleasure to work with from the start. He was very professional from our first phone call. He made it very clear how the process would work on the day of inspection and outlined all costs before we even scheduled with him. This professionalism continued into the day of the inspection. He was early to the house. He was very thorough as he inspected every inch of the outside and inside of the house, top to bottom. He allowed us to walk along with him and effectively answered any questions we had. He got our report back to us the next night after the inspection because he knew we were on a tight timeline with closing. Everything he mentioned to us as we walked through the house was on the inspection report with pictures included. He even answered promptly when I had additional questions after we heard back from the selling side about our repair request. I highly recommend using Scott for your home inspection. I will be using him again when I move next.

Inspection went really well. I was able to follow Scott around as he performed the inspection which was helpful as he explained anything that needed attention as well as pointing out things that were in good or great shape. Any questions were readily answered as well as explanations for anything I did not fully comprehend. One of the many things I truly appreciated is that the inspection was all inclusive. A representative came to do the Terminate inspection and another representative completed the water testing. He explained things in a way that I understood; I would say that Scott provided great teachable moments. We wanted an inspection to determine how our house (14 yrs old) was holding up. Scott did a comprehensive inspection and provided many suggestions for extending the life of our home along with a few important remediation items that he brought to our attention. Scott was fantastic. He went above and beyond teaching me about the house I was purchasing during the inspection. I felt confident purchasing after Scott's inspection turned over required repairs and their severity. The thoroughness of his report allowed me to easily prioritize repairs that I should request during closing. I'm a first time homebuyer (my significant other is not) and Landmark Inspections was one of the companies recommended to do the home inspection by my realtor. After doing some research, I gave Scott a call to set up the appointment. We could not be happier with the results! On the day of the inspections (home, radon, and well water adequacy), Scott walked us through the entire process explaining each step before he began the inspection. His inspection was very thorough, lasting about 2.5 hours. When he saw items of note, he would make sure to call out any issue and suggested fix - these items are also included in his report with pictures. At the end of the process, he once again ran through the items he noted, showed us pictures, and gave the suggested fix for the issue. We had all of our reports via email in less than a week and put them into our inspection binder, which he provided. I was very pleased to note that the inspection left no details out. Even the smallest potential problem was pointed out, recommendations made to resolve the issues and suggestion made on continued maintenance. Scott's inspection was very thorough, beginning with a detailed binder that he presented us with at the start of the appointment. It contains lots of useful, general information for homeowners, such as maintenance schedules, glossaries, and the like. The inspection itself took just under four hours, and as he moved from one area of the home to the next, Scott briefly reviewed his findings with us, by describing and showing us what he had found, explaining why he was noting it in his report (i.e. how serious of an issue it is), and what his recommendation for repair might be. In all cases, Scott was personable and reasonable: we could ask questions, and he was very clear and down-to-earth in terms of explaining how common his findings were, so it did not seem as though he was being too "nit-picky," so to speak, nor was he overlooking issues that could become significant in the long term. All of this is to say that when we walked out, we absolutely felt as though we had received a thorough and professional assessment of the home. Less than 2 days after the inspection, we received a detailed report via email from Scott, which notes all of his findings. It is incredibly easy to understand--it literally contains arrows that point from text to illustration, so the documentation is presented visually and explained clearly in text. As we move into the next step of our negotiations--asking sellers to make repairs--this report is a very useful tool, because it allows us to prioritize the issues that Scott identified. We know what we want to take care of in the long term, and what we think the seller should be responsible for addressing. I would recommend Scott Freeman again, without any reservation whatsoever.

This is the second time I have used Scott and once again he was very professional, personable and informative. Scott looked at entire home inside and out. He was very thorough. Information that needed to be imparted regarding home defects was done succinctly and in a manner that was easy for me to understand. Scott advised me that everything we spoke about would be in his Home Inspection Report. I checked my hand written notes against the Home Inspection Report and not only did it have all the information given to me the day of inspection but much more information was included and appreciated. Scott explained the radon remediation system in the home. I will use the home inspection report to fix repairs not done by sellers. I have recommended Landmark Inspections to a friend and they were very satisfied with the service provided to them. When I called Scott to set up an appointment, he advised me he had some other appointments scheduled, however, because my time was limited to get the service done, Scott made an appointment for my convenience. I appreciate Scott fitting into my time limits and doing a thorough job when he arrived. Scott was early for the appointment, he was at the location prior to my arriving and I was early for scheduled appointment. I would definitely use Scott again.

Scott performed an entire home inspection and radon test in addition to contracting a termite specialist to assist in the inspection. The experience was very professional and informative for wife and I as we are purchasing a home for the first time. He provided a package of information that will be useful to us throughout this process, which was very thouightful. I would highly recommend the company to anyone in the market.
