Description of Work: Investigated noise emanating from our furnace. It was determined to be from a fan which exhausts fumes. Preece suggested a new fan unit was too expensive to be installed in in our nearly 20 year old furnace. We are planning to install a new furnace this summer.

Description of Work: Preece was contracted to remove and replace my furnace and install a new hot water tank that I had already bought.They also had to put in new copper pipes and shutoffs for the hot water tank. The furnace needed it's gas line rerouted and new shutoff as well. The job was done beyond my expectations. It looks great and I can't wait to see how my new furnace performs.The men were courteous,informative and friendly..

Description of Work: Called Preece Heating on Thurs. hoping to get same day service on my hot water boiler which I felt had a faulty zone valve which I could manually open and still get some heat from that zone when the circulating pump came on. The weather outside was frigid and the house was staying around 65 degrees. When I called and explained to the receptionist our problem, she asked me if we had heat (which we did) and said their technician was out on 2 calls that had no heat but would call him and see how he was doing and would call me right back. She called back within 10 minutes and said that he couldn't come until friday between 8 & 12 o'clock. The time would depend on how he makes out with the other two calls he was on, but he would call before he came. At about 8:45 friday morning Mike, the technician called and said he would be at our house in about ten minutes. Upon inspecting our boiler, he determined that the zone valve was indeed shot but also our circulating pump was not working. Mike didn't have a circulating pump with him so he had to leave to get one but he returned in about 40 minutes and went right to work. He finished up in about an hour. I feel that Mike was very knowledgable in assessing the problem with our boiler, efficient in repairing our boiler, and very fair in writing up the charges. I also had a couple of questions concerning our heating system which he answered without hesitation. In all we had a very positive experience with Preece Heating and would definitely call them again with any heating problem we might have. They were timely, efficient, professional and responsive to our needs.
