Description of Work: They were great. They were a little hard to get a hold of at times, but when they showed up to do the work, they did a great job. Part of the reason for the work was to help with some drainage issues, and everything they promised seems to have worked out great. It felt a little pricey to me, which could be due to my ignorance of what's involved. I definitely was happy with the work performed. They seemed very professional and knew a heck of a lot about both the trees and safety needs to protect my property.

Description of Work: Removed two trees and stumps. I was happy with their work but when they arrived they didn't communicate with me at all. I had to go out to talk to them because they didn't ring the bell to let me know they were going to get started. After I went inside that was the last I heard from them. They left without telling me they were finished or informing me that the stumps would be done at a different time. The job was done well I just would have appreciated better communication the day of the job. Also I noticed reviews stating they would show up and do the job when no one was home, so I made it clear to Jacob (the owner) that I was to be notified before they came and that they could not do work when I wasn't home. He called the night before to check if I would be home and if it was a good day for me. I was very pleased. Also his price was much cheaper then everyone else I called.

+ -1 moreWe gave him the dates we were going to be home and clearly requested that no work be preformed without us being there and made it very clear we were in no hurry to have this done and would keep in touch with him as to when we would be at this location. We were shocked to see that he ignored our request and did it without us being there as we requested and we also invoiced before the work was completed. We contacted him to let him know that we expected the job to be completed before paying the invoice and requested again that we wanted to be there when they came back to finish the job. Again he ignored our request and came when we were out of town. The yard was not cleaned up after the trimming and a rake was even left in our yard which we returned to him when he came over to get his check.
Description of Work: We have 2 trees trimmed and 1 tree removed.

+ -1 moreThe overall experience was excellent. He might be a little more pricey than other people. He is not the cheapest, but I can tell you that you will not have any damage. He picks up all of the trimmings. He has major equipment. I would absolutely use this provider again.

+ -1 moreIt went well. They time to make sure the trimming was what we wanted. They left the area cleaner than it was when they came. They wanted us to be fully satisfied before they left. They have a registered arborist. We had a concern that our tree that was directly behind our home would topple. He was able to determine that it was safe.
Description of Work: He’s trimmed multiple trees and removed a tree and its stump.

+ -1 moreI was not pleased with him and would not use him again. He didn’t do what he agreed to. He trimmed off too much. He insisted on doing it when I wasn’t home. If I had been home I could have corrected him. The tree was butchered. There were a couple broken things. I moved things, decorative things. The things I didn’t move got broken or were missing. I think the homeowner should be home so that they can make corrections. He just butchered that maple tree. If he had done what I asked him to do, it would have been less work.
Description of Work: I used J Thomas Tree Service about a year ago. He trimmed a maple tree.
