Description of Work: We tried to use the oven on our gas range on Saturday and it would not work. We contacted Kevin Harner the same day and he made an appointment to come early Monday am. HE arrived on time ,replaced the igniter ,tested the oven and was completed in about a half hour. We were very pleased with the prompt service and the reasonable cost. We would recommend his service to any one and will use him for any future needs.

Description of Work: Checked refrigerator for component failure, determined problem was ice buildup and charged me only for labor to remove it's very honest.

Description of Work: Our icemaker needed a repair it was only natural to call them again. Just as before they were prompt with they appointment. Diagnosed the problem and ordered the part and set up another appt to repair. What a delight to use a company who knows what they are doing ..we are so happy to have found them on Angies List. Description of Work: Noticed last night that my Whirlpool Duet front-load washer was leaking. Called Harner's at 7:30AM this morning and got a call back ten minutes later. Explained the problem to Karen. Karen scheduled me for between 10 and 12 this morning. She and Kevin Harner showed up and worked on the washer together. I was not here but my wife was ecstatic that we have finally found service people with a brain. They shows my wife what they thought could be the problem and explained everything very clearly. The washer is no longer leaking. She was totally impressed and happy.

Description of Work: I explained the problem I was having with my dryer. After giving the scheduler the make and model number of the appliance she said they would research it and would get back to me. A few hours later one of the repair people called to say that the parts would be difficult to find and likely be very expensive. They "didn't want to charge me for a service call if I would be better of purchasing a new dryer". They saved me the service call fee and I did end up purchasing a new appliance. Very professional!

Description of Work: I will never call anyone else other than Kevin Harner. My 2 year old front load electronic Kenmore washing machine suddenly wouldn't turn on this past Saturday. I called Sears and got no explanation of what could be wrong, and I was told they couldn't send anyone out to look at it for five days. I called K. Harner this morning and explained my situation to the lady who answered the phone. She suggested that I unplug the washer for 15 minutes and said that sometimes re-sets the circuit board. I did - - and it worked. They weren't interested in just getting more money and another service call (though she said they could send someone in a day if I called back). From now on, this company gets all my appliance repair business.

Description of Work: My LG refrigerator was leaking water in the freezer compartment and it was freezing on the bottom. Kevin thought there was a 90% chance the internal water control mechanism was faulty so he ordered one at a cost of approximately $140. This delayed his service call by two days which was no problem for me. When he and his boss (wife) arrived and took the freezer apart he then determined that the drain had become blocked and that was causing water to leak into the freezer rather than go out the drain. He recommended not installing the control mechanism to see if that fixed the problem and thus save me the cost of the unit. He indicated that if it did not he would return without the $65 call charge and replace the defective unit. I agreed and after one week I am happy to report that the freezer has not leaked one drop of water since and he saved me $140 plus labor to install it. He communicated with me regularly and I would absolutely use his services again if I am in need of them.

Suggested another repair discovered during work; did not have part on truck but ordered and came back a few days later to install without another service call charge. Would not hesitate a second to call them again for other services.

Description of Work: I contacted Angie's List for a recommendation for repair of my gas oven that would not heat. I called the highest recommended company and am very pleased with the results. Although initially there was concern that because my oven was so old (18 years) that a part may be unavailable, they were willing to come out and check out the appliance. It turned out to be the igniter and they diagnosed the problem, replaced it and were completed within 30 minutes. This husband and wife team were efficient, courteous and a pleasure to work with. The price was fair and much less expensive than if I had contacted a major appliance supplier or service company. I highly recommend working with Kevin and Debbie Harner/Harner Appliance Repair.

Description of Work: I have a Maytag oven that is 10 years old, it seems like the electronics are having issues. I called Harner and was basically told that I might want to invest in a new unit, and I was also told initally that they did not work on propane fueled applicances, which was not correct either. These folks have a great reputation on the list, just didn't work out for me.

Description of Work: Utilized Mr. Harner's services several months ago and was more than satisfied with his services. Needed another appliance serviced and decided prior to making an expensive purchase, we would once again try Mr. Harner. Well, he once again performed miraculously.....no need for costly new washer. Would highly recommend this man's service. His experience, professionalism, cost and quality are over and above excellent. Kudos!

Description of Work: I called because of alarming noises my refrigerator was making. I called Harner because of good Angies List ratings. Someone got back to me right away and was very helpful with diagnostic hints and suggestions for maintenance. I followed their advice and so far, so good, the noises have not been apparent since, so I have not had to have them come out yet for a service call. However, the number is taped to my refrigerator door and they will be the first that I call if the 'fridge dies.

Description of Work: Kevin and Karen were pleasant and professional upon arrival. They immediately introduced themselves at the door and immediately began working to find the problem with our refrigerator. It didn't take Kevin very long to determine the problem and he was able to come up with a very reasonable resolution to the problem. I would highly recommend this husband and wife team who appear to work very well together. They are timely, efficient and very cost conscious.
