Description of Work: Dryer repair. We were asked to describe the problem and to provide the model number when we made the appointment. This enabled them to have all the necessary parts at the time of service.

Description of Work: Identified reason that washer was not spinning properly. Problem was solved at minimal cost. The Harners are very professional, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of appliance servicing.

Description of Work: Everything went well. We called because we thought we had problems with both our 10-year-old washer and 10-year-old drier. The company called us the same day that we sought help and came out the next day. In the initial call, we went over our issues in detail. The company let us know that it appeared likely that our washer drum was bad, that it would take less than a minute to check that, and if that was true, the recommendation would be to get a new washer, and that we would still be charged for a service call. | |We appreciated being told the clear company policy, but wanted the company to come out so that we would know for certain what the washer problem was, and also to evaluate the drier. The next day, the company (Kevin Harner and a colleague) came when promised, and called us before arriving at our home, as promised. They determined that the washer drum was bad, but that there was no problem with the drier. They determined that by completely checking and cleaning the drier, including taking out and putting back in the drier drum. We had thought the drier was a problem because we saw burn marks on some clothing that matched the pattern of the drier drum. The company concluded that what had happened was that grease from the washer drum bearings had leaked on some of the clothing, resulting in that clothing (sweatshirt and other clingy things) sticking to and being burned by the drier drum. | |We then purchased a new washer (from Home Depot) and have run about 10 loads in the new washer and old drier. Both are working fine, no burn marks and no problems at all with the drier. | |Both Kevin Harner and his colleague were very friendly, professional and helpful. They worked quickly and efficiently. We would call them again for any large appliance problem and will recommend them to our friends.

Description of Work: Cleaned and repaired dryer. What I feared was going to be a $200+ repair ended up being a cleaning for less than $100. You will never hire a more knowledgable, skilled, honest repair service.

Description of Work: Checked out washer - confirmed that it couldn't be fixed. checked out refrigerator - confirmed that it couldn't be fixed. we appreciated the honest assessment of our appliances. we had spend $700 to have the refrigerator repaired. the repairs did not correct the problem and the appliance service repair contractor would not return our calls.
