Overall it was a great experience!

They arrived a little early, but that was fine. The job was done quickly and cleanly. Everything was explained as the work was being done. I enjoy using local businesses as opposed to large chains and I would certainly call them again.

I emailed to see if they serviced my area, which they didnt. He did, however, offer to give me any information to help out that he could regarding my dryer issue. If provided him with the error code and model number and he gave me advice on what to check and where to look to help solve my problem. Very helpful!!

I have a rental property and I was notified by my tenant that the oven was not lighting. I call Kevin Harner Appliance Co. They are awesome! During the call, they stated their rates and procedures. My job was scheduled the next day and they fixed the oven by installing a new ignitor. They assesed the situation quickly and had the oven fixed in no time at all. I'd also like to mention that they are very nice people with a positive attitude.

Kevin and his wife arrived within an hour after contacting them about my refrigerator that had suddenly stopped working. They were quick and professional and explained exactly what was wrong, along with how they fixed it. Both he and his wife were friendly and straight to the point. I will definitely contact them again should I have another appliance on the fritz.

Arrived punctually to help us diagnose problem with our oven which sut-off unpredictably. Very friendly and knowledgeable, they thorougly inspected oven before concluding it would cost more to repair it than replace it. They noticed our refrigerator vent was clogged (we have dogs) and even vacuumed it out for us! Superb service from courteous, reliable, experts; I recommend them without reservation.

I had made an appointment with another service provider and it was truly a terrible experience so I checked Angie's List and saw great reviews for Kevin Harner Service. When the other company failed to show up and came two hours after the 4 hour window, I made an appointment with Harners. From the moment I made the call I was treated professionally. they were able to schedule me for service the day after I called, and they showed up right on time, and resolved the issue Quickly without needing any parts or other unnecessary expensive add-ons. I had forgotten, but this husband and wife team had fixed something for me years ago and I remember froom back then that it had been a positive experience. Kevin and Karen Harner are honest, hard working, knowledgable and I highly recommend them for any of your large appliance in-home repair needs. I will not use anyone else from this point forward as long as they are able to service the equipment and brand of any item I might need fixed in the future. I thank them much for their helping me resolve my problem, and doing it honestly and quickly after I had contacted them.

I called Kevin and he was at my home in 20 minutes and did the repair that took 10 minutes, he and his wife are very nice to deal with.

Overall experience was fantastic.

After telling me that the compressor was going bad, they offered me an opportunity to see if installing a new relay switch might work for me short term. They said that the service call was $70 and if I wanted to try the relay it would cost $150. They told me that while they would guarantee the relay, they could not guarantee it would solve my overall problem. I decided to go with the relay for $150. After installing the new relay, they could tell it wasn't going to help so they offered to take the new part back, charge me the original $70 only, and told me that I needed to purchase a new unit. They were FANTASTIC! Anyone else would have stuck me with a relay that wouldn't work and pocket the additional $75.00. What a breath of fresh air to deal with a small, family owned and operated business who readily is looking out for my best interest. I know nothing about refrigerators. They could have sold me anything, but didn't. They were professional, polite, knowledgeable and didn't waste my time or money. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the area and will use them for all my future needs. Thank you Angie's list for putting me in touch with them!

Great experience. Called 8am and spoke to Karen. She took information...asked a couple of questions....Said they could make it by 10:30 AM same day. Explained everything as they worked on dryer. Start to finish 30 minutes. Time to dry some clothes! Nice job all around !

Called KH Appliance and scheduled 10:30 service call two days in future. KH and wife arrived on time with part they expected to have to replace (thermostat/temp controller). Asked me questions about the problem then quickly went to work to diagnose. After several minutes of checking operation and operating temps (they explained what they were doing) they said they believed the dryer was fine. Perhaps some lint or hair in the wrong place. Let the dryer run for a few more minutes to check and all was okay. Said if problem recurs or any related problem in next couple of weeks they would return to check/repair with no charge for the additional service call. No problems with dryer since. I have no doubt that some repair people would have sold me an unnecessary part and charged me to install it. This was the best repair of all: no repair! Good experience and would definitely call again.

After realizing that our refrigerator was not producing enough cool air to chill our food in the refrigerator or freezer, we called and scheduled an appointment. Kevin, and his wife Karen, arrived on time and quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem. As we have three young children, they promised to resolve the problem within 24 hours. (This was despite many appointments they had that day.) They returned just a few short hours later with the parts and even found us a cheaper (yet still effective) ice-maker. Not only were they professional, but they were entirely committed to addressing the needs of our fridge and family. Finally, their price was appropriate and reasonable.

They were very good and did a great job. They were responsive, pleasant, neat, clean, friendly and on time. They answered my calls right away. They were very good. I got a warranty with it and they guaranteed it, so that was good. I'm pretty pleased with them. I actually wrote them down in my address book to keep them because I'm going to use them again. They were great.

In fact, they had someone who was scheduled before me cancel, so I got them to come out earlier than they had quoted me, which is great since then I had the rest of the day to bake! They explained what they were doing as they did it, tested it out before they left and were kind and courteous the whole time. I will definitely use them again if I need any large appliance work done.

They are always on the job, so getting a hold of them meant leaving a voicemail, but they were quick to call back. They were eager to try and trouble-shoot over the phone, as if to try and fix it for us without even coming out (or getting paid!) even though we were first time customers. When it didn't work, they came quickly and were able to pinpoint the problems, give us options, and kept in touch about when the parts came in. They didn't push any work that didn't need done, and in fact were very up-front about the chances that the specific problem would likely re-occur with the dishwasher even if they replaced the pump, and that money-wise, we might be better off purchasing another dishwasher (though they left it up to us). Their frankness was appreciated, and we chose to put the money we would have spent on a new pump toward a more reliable brand dishwasher.

We are a repeat customer for the Harners. We initially located them on Angie's List. We are deeply satisfied with service performed by Kevin and Karen. They are very knowledgeable and dedicated to preserving older appliances rather than recommending replacement as a first option. They were very easy to get along with. As soon as we described our problem, they knew what the problem was and proceeded with our repair upon arrival. We will definitely use their service again for future repairs and will recommend them to as many people as we can.

I called Kevin Harner Appliance Service on Good Friday and spoke with Karen. She explained that they usually work on Saturdays, but because of Easter they were taking the day off. That was fine with me because I expected I would have to wait a few days anyway. Karen told me they work 6 days a week. Wow! I was happy to be able to set up an appointment for Monday which was technically the next business day. The appointment was scheduled for between 12 and 2 pm. On Monday Karen called around 11:30 a.m. to say they were running a few minutes early and she asked if that was okay. Kevin and Karen arrived and we headed to the basement to look at the washer and dryer. I explained the problems and within 5 minutes, Kevin had the fronts off the washer and dryer and was showing me what was broken. He gave me an estimate still within the 5 minutes. I accepted. Karen went to the van to get parts while Kevin started the repairs. Karen helped too. From the time they arrived until the time they left was about 35 minutes. I was extremely pleased with their efficiency and I thought it was pretty cool to see a husband and wife appliance repair team.

He did a very good job. Very easy to deal with. Communicated well, showed up when they said they were going to. I'll use them again.

Our Kenmore (made by Amana) refrigerator is 12 years old. It was not chilling the refrigerator or freezer compartment to a low enough temperature. My wife was preparing a brunch for 14 people the following morning. I called at 8:15 AM and Karen Harner answered the phone, took down the essential information, mentioned three possible parts that may have failed, described exactly what procedure they would follow and told me they would call call me back within an hour. They called in one hour and told me they were on the way to my home. They arrived about 9:30 AM, worked on the refrigerator, replaced the part that failed and were on their way to another service call in about an hour. They did a super, outstanding job and solved what would have been a disaster for us.They were prompt, (Sears said they could not schedule an appointment until the the next week) courteous and reasonably priced.

They were very unprofessional and rude. I was trying to give them business but they made me seem like I was a waste of their time.

As mentioned above, Kevin and his wife came to our home to see if our 9-year-old washer should be repaired. In the end, the answer was no, but we appreciated the time they took with us to show us what was wrong with it, and to talk with us about what to look for when buying a new washer. They were prompt, friendly and their price was fair. Highly recommend!

It went well. They clearly love their work, were professional and very competent.

The washer would not pump all the water out of the tub and was giving me an error code. I called them in the morning and was told they would be there between 11 and 12. They arrived when they said they would and within minutes had determined that the problem was a clogged trap. They cleaned the trap and ran the washer through a cycle to ensure the pump was working properly. When it did not they again checked the trap and found additional debris that had been hiding further up the line. They were prompt and courteous and I will definitely be using them again.

I gave them a call and they promptly returned the call. They arrived on time and had a very fair price. They fixed it quickly and it is running great now.They are very professional.
