The entire job went off without a hitch. James went above and beyond to make sure the brick and the mortar matched existing as much as possible. As he completed the work, he explained what he was doing and why he felt it was important. He worked to ensure a fix that was stronger and more stable than the original job. He cleaned up the job site and left it exactly the way he found it.

I contacted JC Masonry for an estimate to repair my chimney flue liner and wash. James responded to my inquiry promptly and met me at my newly purchased home within a few days at my convenience. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Very easy to talk to and explained what was needed. he prepared an estimate on the spot. His estimate was less than what I eventually paid. I decided to use another contractor as he was able to complete the job sooner and provided a 10 year warranty on the CrownSaver wash that was installed.

I used JC Masonry. His actually was the lowest estimate. He had to come over and look at the job. You know how you can look as some one and have confidence and trust in them? He looked and he gave me an estimate but I had already made up my mind before he went up on the roof. He came when he said he was going to come, he did a few extra things and didn't charge me. His work was the kind of thing that you want. My chimney is beautiful. His pricing, he prices plus materials. If you ever needs something done you can actually figure it out because he tells he how much he charges per square foot. He finished on time. When he left at the end of the day there was a scrap of anything anywhere, you wouldn't know that someone was working here at the house. I can't say enough about him. I have never been this happy with anybody. He came the week before Thanksgiving and finished the day before Thanksgiving. I think he charged me $1600, $1200. My chimney was just about to crumble. Having seen photographs of it he was not exaggerating. It is beautiful, it it gorgeous. If I had the money I'd have him re-do the whole house.

James was professional in all aspects of the job, from my initial phone call through all the work and clean up. The chimney looks great. James will be quoting another job for me in the spring.

James was a pleasure to work with. He promptly scheduled us for an estimate when we called. At the time of the estimate he was very prompt, insightful and very easy to talk with about the work we were looking to have done. He promptly sent an estimate that we found fair and we scheduled a time for the work to be started. James started the work on time and and completed the work in the time frame that we had agreed upon. We were very happy with the service James provided and we would certainly work with him in the future as well as recommend him to anyone needing masonry work in the future.

See above. It went very well. He arrived when he said he would. He set about his task, from setting up scaffolding, grinding out the bad bricks, installing the new bricks and leaving the job site as he originally found it. He took pride in doing his work and provided excellent craftsmanship.

James came out and examined the chimney. Recommended replacing the bricks on the chimey cap (3 courses) and the cement washing on top. He said the rest of the bricks were still solid and did not need replacing; repointing was sufficient. (Another contractor had recommended replacing *all* of the bricks.) We hired him at the end of that week and he was here the following Monday. Finished the brick work on Tuesday and returned to clean up on Wednesday. Work looks good!

James was very professional from start to finish! He went out of his way to meet with me on a Sunday for the estimate. We were delayed slightly by the weather and by other projects at my home, but other than that, everything went off as planned. James explained in detail the processes he would take in the repair of two brick pillars at the entrance way of my home. He repaired the joints, matched the mortar color, washed down the bricks, and applied sealant to keep water out. His price was much lower than other competitors and the finished product is beautiful.

He came out and gave an estimate. Once I hired him for the job, he returned to get a mortar sample to match the color and I paid $100 deposit on the job. He came back out a few days later at the agreed upon time and performed the work. He was on time, did the work he was requested and agreed to do, did a good job. I would hire him again if I need any masonry work performed.

James did a great job and he arrived early and put in a full day! When the job was completed he made sure the area around the house was cleaned to my satisfaction. Several people stopped to comment on the workmanship and how nice the house looked.
