We hired James to replace joint mortar, reset loose stones, clean and seal our bluestone front walk. We asked that it be done in early Spring. James and his helper were very careful and diligent to do the job quickly, cleanly and professionally. The finished product exceeded our expectations as the walk was almost twenty years old and was desperately in need of cleaning and renovation. It looks almost as it did when it was first installed. We are very grateful to James for such a nice outcome.

They even matched our very hard to match brick. A job well done at a VERY reasonable price.

All the damage was repaired with such skill and care that the eye cannot detect where the damage was. The color matching of the mortar is almost perfect.

This is a narrow field of quality resources still in the business - which is surprising since there are so many houses in the area that have lots of masonry. One of the most important and comforting aspects was the owner does the work - he doesn’t send others out to do the work - so he is responsible and accountable for the work results. Great job. James did an excellent job on my property, which included rebuilding a stone knee wall for our entry stairway that had collapsed. It looks perfect and blends in perfectly with the rest of the stone foundation. I plan on using him for further work on my property.

It was a big job rebuilding our huge chimney. we are very pleased how it turned out after being snubbed by other contracters JC masonry came through for us was on time very professional even though the weather didn't co-operate the job still got done. We told James, the owner, we wanted to do some of the work ourselves. He did a good job listening to our needs, dividing up responsibilities and reviewing what he would be doing and when. JC Masonry did the entire block and brick work for the fireplace & chimney. We dug and poured the concrete base and built the stone face. He kept to the agreed upon timeline. Good communication throughout. We are VERY pleased with the finished product. It’s exactly what we were looking for. James also went above and beyond with picking up additional materials, loaning us some tools and giving us advice on our part of the project. Very pleased with JC Masonry and would heartily endorse them.

James was very clear on how he would approach the repairs that we needed and quoted a very reasonable price. He was also very particular about matching the mortar to the existing color. We were very pleased with his work and would hire him again.

I contacted James in March about the job, he came out to the house gave me an very reasonable estimate and explained what needed to be done. It obviously was a weather permitting job and he was very good at providing me with dates as to when it would be getting done. Because of the process it was to take Two days. He called me the day before to tell me he was coming, prepared the surface the first day and stuccoed the next. Unfortunately he ran out of sand and came back the next day to finish the job( in the rain!) I am extremely pleased with the results, his skill and professionalism. I would highly recommend him.

This experience was excellent all around. James was very responsive, reasonably priced, and very professional. Having a twin home means having to negotiate with the neighbor over common items and James was incredibly helpful in this regard. He was detailed in describing the work he would do and at what cost. The finished product is excellent and he did a really great job matching the 1940's brick on our home - and getting a custom cap that would satisfy my neighbor. Very happy with the service we've received.

Jim proposed a method of repair that maintained the appearance of the chimney at a cost below other quotes (the other quotes were to encase the chimney in stucco ruining the appearance of the chimney). Jim was prompt with his estimate and did everything he committed to. Very satisfied with result. Recommend.

Excellent. This was our second job for James and his crew. (The first one was to restore our brick chimney.) The job was done with care and precision. It looks and feels like it will last forever! A solid and professional outfit.

I called James to help with our brick lamp posts at the front of our house. The bricks were falling apart and the mortar was cracked and missing in some areas. I was having a hard time finding someone interested in re-doing these posts since it was not a lot of work. I called James and he responded within a day. We agreed on a time for him to stop by. After looking at the posts we agreed that it would be best to rebuild them since they were in such dis-repair. He gave me a reasonable price and completed the work in the timeframe that we agreed. The quality is excellent. I would recommend James and would certainly use him again for future work.

Although I did not go forward with him on this project, I would like to work with him in the future on other projects because he was able to return my calls in a timely manner, answered all my questions, and acted professionally.

A very secure-looking scaffold was erected. Materials were hauled in with no damage to the lawn or plantings. James is someone who clearly takes pride in his work, and at all times made sure that he was communicating. An exact match for the bricks that were removed was not possible, but James was very concerned about finding a compatible brick so that the chimney looked good. The replacement bricks come across to the eye as an interesting design feature rather than a patch. This repair job has certainly enhanced the resale value of our house.

It was a pleasure working with James. He promptly came out to scope out the work, and provided a cost estimate on an expedited basis. His estimate was very competitive compared to other estimates. He did the work during the week he said he would. During the planning and execution of the work he kept us fully informed of what he was going to do and discussed options with us, such as the color of the replacement brick and mortar. He tidied up the worksite at the end of each day, and did a good job cleaning up when the work was done. We are very pleased with the appearance of the end product, and the quality of his work. He clearly takes pride in doing a quality job.

I contacted this provider and was happy to receive a call back very quickly. James was very easy to talk to. He arrived on time to discuss the work I needed done, and I received an email estimate within a few days. We talked again after my initial estimate because my chimney was errected very crooked and he wasn't sure if it would have to be rebuilt, so on my request he provided a second estimate in the event of a rebuild. He initially gave me a start date but was able to begin work prior. He was very tidy and always cleaned up after each work day. He wrapped my chimney with a tarp due to heavy rain, which was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. The work was done within a few days and looks absolutely fantastic!!! I received positive comments from neighbors on his workmanship. I would definitely recommend his services!!

One of the owners called...once he heard it was cement & cinder block front steps and porch work needed he decided I lived too far??? and promply hung up. I am in Oley/Exeter/Lower Alsace area and this person claims they do Berks and other surrounding areas!!! Wont use someone who fibs!
