We had a technician named Skip. He was very courteous and professional. He was very knowledgeable about out unit.

Called around noon on a Thursday and initially told would be Friday or Monday until technician could check. Was pleasantly surprised when I got a call around 3 on Thursday that a tech was on the way. He arrived promptly, I explained the problem and that I suspected a slow leak over many years. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and recharged the system and had us back in business in less than an hour. Thanks Scott! Would definitely recommend Burkholder's and will be getting an estimate from them when I am ready to replace the system.

Original work went fine. Called today (about a year later) to get my unit serviced. Had called previously but call was never returned. Told them my auto-fill valve wasn’t working. Asked them to repair it at the same time they cleaned my unit again for my annual service agreement. Told that the diagnostic charge (charge for call, travel, and finding out was happening) of 81.00 would still apply. Said that it seems like diagnosis would take a few seconds if it is the auto fill valve. They said that I would still be charged the diagnostic fee and labor and parts even though the guy would already be in the house and might take just a few minutes to diagnose. Just seems like they would be willing to lower that if they wanted to keep a customer. Disappointed. Won’t renew my service agreement.

Responded and identified the problem very quickly. The system was frozen with a large block of ice. They allowed time for it to thaw out and returned later to repair.

15 degrees out, no heat, junk system, poor service. When advised via FB review, they lied about responding (property cameras show they were not here), and blocked.

They were very professional, installed a new central vac system. They had the best price and the installation went smooth. Great team of men, did a "Fantastic" job!

.Skip, the technician was very polite and got right to the work Once he arrived . My only issue was that I was given a time between 12 and 2 I did receive a call from Burkholders that they were running late but was given the estimate that they would be a half hour to an hour late . Several hours passed before he arrived. Once at the house he got right to work and used the basement entrance to port his supplies . Once finished he explained the cost and process . No complaints with his professionalism and work.

When I called to make the appointment I was told they would send me a copy of their maintenance agreement, I never received it. The day of my appointment (I was told they would show between 11 and 1) I took four hours of vacation time from work, at 10:30 I was called and told the technician had called off sick. SERIOUSLY. .they couldn't have called earlier so that I did not have to waste vacation time? They rescheduled for 3 days later, fortunately the technician showed up on time. He did a great job, was very pleasant and cleaned up after himself. So for his work I will rate them an A, for customer service they get a D

Very knowledgeable. Very professional. They figured out the best way to replace each component while keeping in mind the quality. Work was neat and everything worked well. They paid attention to all my concerns and addressed them. I will recommend to others.

Lande helped to diagnose the problem fast... and, it was a rather simple replacement of a part... e.g., the work set me back just a couple of hundred dollars for parts/labor versus several thousand dollars for a new unit. They were prompt, and did the work all while I was on a conference call for work. Highly recommended.

Installation went well and on schedule as promised. Installers were prompt, professional, neat and courteous. They even lent us a window air conditioner to tide us over a heat wave that occurred before the system installation could take place.

Bob, Burkholder's service rep, called when he was on his way to my house. He was very professional and explained everything he was doing. He diagnosed the potential problem, determined the condenser had failed, and replaced it immediately. I was extremely impressed and would call them again.

I have used them for 16 years. They just come and do it. They do a check up. They do a check on the heat pump and handler. They are fine. They are not over priced and do good work. The workers are fine.

I use them every year for maintenance and repair. I bought my heating system from them. They have been servicing it ever since. It has been maybe 8 years. They know the history of the problems I have had with this system. They have all the complaints filed. If I go to somebody else, What do I do? I feel like I am stuck and I do not have any other choice but to go to them. They service me every spring and fall. I pay a yearly charge and you get 2 services each year for that charge. They change the filters, clean it and check it for the season that you are going into. I appreciate that they call me about it if I do not schedule it. I am so disenchanted with the whole unit that it discolors almost everything about the experience.

Fantastic from start to finish. Out of due diligence we got many quotes. From start to finish Burkholder's team exceeded or expectations, beat the competition and completed everything in a timely manner. They'll be replacing my upstairs unit once it fails! Thank you!

Called these guys out twice and they came out the same day both times. Dave was awesome! Very nice and professional. Took his time to explain everything and make sure everything was working. He is the only person I want working on my home! Most of all I dont feel taken advantage of which is why I decided that they will be the only company working on my hvac for the foreseeable future.

I have used them a couple of times and they have been really good. They are always timely and professional. I can't think of any recommendations. It took them maybe 45 minutes to an hour to do the repair.

They are dependable and the guys know what they are doing. It took them a couple of hours to complete the job.

The heat pump on top of the water heater displayed a code that the "electronic expansion valve" was out of range. I asked Burkholder if they could fix this type of device, they said yes, and that they would charge $95 for the visit and up to 1/2 hour diagnosis. I ok'd the visit based on this. Rich showed up and had never worked on a water heater like this, but he thought he could handle it since it was a heat pump. I gave him a troubleshooting guide that I'd gotten from the internet, but he wasn't interested in reading it. Instead he took off the shroud and tinkered around for about 45 minutes, finally reading the information. He tested for refrigerant leaks and sensor resistance readings as specified in the guide, they seemed normal, so he said I'd better call GE. Total time: 1.5 hours, for which he charged $135 AND the $95 which was supposed to cover some diagnosis time. I called to protest the bill and was essentially told, "we don't work for free" and "this is what we charge". I paid under protest. My complaints: (1) they should have said up front on the phone that they'd not fixed one of these before (2) Rich should have read the guide upon arrival, and told me whether he could fix it (limiting my cost to $95) (3) the service person could have worked much more efficiently. I will not hire this company again.

Responsiveness to my request was very timely. Dave came to my home within a couple of days to discuss my concerns regarding our heating and cooling system. I received a quote the next day which I approved and our new system was installed the next week. The guys did a great job! Work was completed on schedule and the new system could not look or perform better. I'm a warranty and service professional for national manufacturers in a different field and I can tell you that these folks hit all the markers for doing the job right. I highly recommend them for your heating and air conditioning needs.
