Description of Work: Customer service was poor from the start. I had difficultly contacting the company for scheduling through both email and phone. Eventually I had an appointment setup but was rescheduled once and then forgotten on the second try. Communication was poor and seemed to be a lack of care for keeping an appointment and responding to customers.

Description of Work: Terri and Greg have been wonderful in helping rid my home of raccoons. The pesky critters pulled away the siding and came right in!! They not only removed the raccoons (and a few possums, squirrels, and even a skunk), but Greg repaired the damage.

Description of Work: I had squirrels in a house that I own, it was not occupied, I was preparing it for my son to move his family in. The gentlemen sealed all but one hole that the squirrels were getting in. They then placed an exit only cage over the remaining hole. They explained everything and were so considerate and professional!

Description of Work: I had contacted multiple companies about a but infestation in the crawl space in a home that I just bought. Some companies wanted to charge me as much as $3600 for the same service and charged a fee just for the quote m. Setz was professional responsive and reasonably priced. Their services are guaranteed for two years. I would recommend them and definitely use them again. To during the first visit they even tapped up the entrance to the crawl space because I was so freaked out (our crawl space is in my master bedroom. A+++ for them.

First let me start out by saying these other reviews are dead wrong!! Greg and Terri could not have been any more professional than they were from my first phone call. We discovered we had a small skunk problem in out back yard when our dog was sprayed last week. My wife and I were very concerned for his safety and decided to call Seitz. I procrastinated the next day and didn't call Terri until about 4:00pm. I explained my problem and by 6:45pm that night, Greg set 3 traps for the skunks. The price was $150 for the set up and $50 for each return visit to remove any trapped wildlife. On the second night, we caught a skunk and Greg was out the next days to remove. I decided to keep the traps in an attempt to catch the other skunk I saw in the area, but we did not catch it. We did catch a possum, which Greg removed for me. We decided to pull the traps from the yard because we though the bait was actually luring the animals to the traps. Greg suggested some ideas to and quot;seal upand quot; the yard and fence to prevent the critters from wandering on our property. Greg also offered to come out in the next few days if we see any skunks and he would waive the set up fee. Talk about excellent customer service!! Great job Greg and Terri!! I will refer your company to all my friends, neighbors and co-workers in the future.

Made an appointment for a Friday. They called after the scheduled appointment to say that another job was running late. Fine, no problem. So they suggested that they can call me back later when they have a better idea of when the situation. Sure, sounds good. Well, they didn't call back. Not later that day. Not the next week. Not ever. I should have read the reviews on here first, it seems that it's not the first time they blew someone off. Seriously, in this day and age, in this economy, to treat your customers this way is inexcusable. Failure all around.

Description of Work: I called to inquire about trapping squirrels that are getting into a soffit on the side of my house. I left a voicemail, and the call was never returned. I followed up with an email, and the e-mail was never returned. It's been almost a week, and no return call or e-mail from this company. I called another wildlife company on Angie's List, and they came out the following business day. The work is in progress. I was actually referred to Seitz by a contractor that sends business their way, and I mentioned the referral.

Terri and Greg Seitz did a great job. I am preparing my father's house for sale and there was what we thought was a skunk under the front porch. The smell thoughout our first floor was terrible and came and went for more than 2 weeks. I found Seitz Wildlife Services on Angies list and emailed. I received a phone call early the next morning. They told me upfront that the initial assessment and setting of traps would be $150 and $50 for each time they need to come out to remove critters/check cages. I explained that I am not living in the house and cannot check it every day. Since their office was close by they offered to check on the crates for me daily and only charged me if/when they found critters. They also communicated with me almost daily with updates. @ 10 days, 3 possum and 1 skunk later our issue was resolved. They also came out and put wire over all the holes in the latice and along the bottom to the ground and got large rocks already in the yard and put them against the wire. I marked A for price even though the initial price was a bit high but I have to admit, I have never needed the services of a wildlife removal company so this very well be a very good price, especially in light of the fact that they came out to my father's home daily and charged nothing. I would definately hire them again in a flash. There was no way I could have managed this myself. Thank you Greg and Terri. You were lifesavers.
Description of Work: Bad skunk smell in first floor. Believed there to be a skunk under the porch. Greg and Terri assessed the situation, set traps, removed critters (see below), fixed porch lattice so no additional critters can get in. No more skunk or skunk smell. Great Job!!

First, I don't think I've ever submitted an "F" report. I called Seitz, leaving a message on a Friday and Terri promptly returned my call. I explained that we had baby birds nesting under our roofline - seemingly just born but lots of them and I wanted them humanely removed and the holes sealed up. Terri seemed professional and proposed some ideas; we discussed that Seitz would come out late the following week to assess the situation (she said she would call back the next week to confirm the day/time), but that we may wait on services until the birds were old enough to fly. I never heard back. About a week and a half later, I left another message. No response. I tried two more times; got a voicemail back from Terri saying she was sorry and that she "hadn't received my earlier messages" and that they had been delayed because of rain. I called back one more time, asking her to return my call, and I never heard back, so I gave up. All I can say is apparently they are not professional - I was disappointed, because Terri seemed nice during our first (and only) phone conversation, and that they were going to be able to provide the services we needed.
Description of Work: Tried to get an estimate on removing birds/sealing up nesting/holes in our roofline, but despite many calls to Seitz, they never returned my calls/came to the house.

Job well done; no more squirrels! We were hearing scratching noises in our attic, and we actually saw a squirrel go in so we knew what the problem was. Terri Seitz was professional and informative on the phone, explaining that there is a $125 inspection fee and at that time they could provide an estimate after viewing the situation. Terri did provide me with a price range on the phone based on my description and said that their work is guaranteed for 1 year. She explained the service includes putting a one way door on the suspected entry point so that the squirrel comes out and is caught in the trap, and then closing up entry points with either galvanized wire mesh or solid metal. She also told me what the various possibilities were if there was a squirrel nest in the attic - basically, they can handle that and how expensive it is depends on how big the squirrels are, etc. We agreed to get an estimate and set a date. The logistics were pretty easy - Terri said she'd call me before they arrived, and she did. Terri and Greg (her husband) arrived, inspected, and told us half payment is required on the day they place the traps (usually same day as the inspection) and the other half on the day they remove the traps. They explained that sometimes a squirrel gets caught in a trap, and sometimes the squirrel gets frightened enough during the inspection that they are gone before the trap gets set and can't get back in because entry points are sealed. The Sietz's removed the trap two weeks later (no squirrel caught) and sealed up the entry point with a solid metal plate. They previously sealed up a second place that looked like it could also be an entry point with a solid plate. Neither hindrances had a visual impact on our home's appearance. In any case, we have not had any problems since. I would hire this firm again. Terri and Greg are very pleasant and professional.
Description of Work: Eliminated squirrels in attic and placed metal plates on suspected entry points.

Called Seitz on Monday, was told they could provide the service I needed and was given a price. I thanked them and asked them if I could call back later on to confirm, which they said was fine. I called back about 30 min later and left a voicemail letting them know I was calling back to say everything was fine and to set up a date for the service. Did not receive a call back by Tuesday at 5pm so I called again. Twice the phone was picked up by someone on the other line (could hear noises on the other end) and I was ignored and hung up on after about 30 seconds of saying "hello" repeatedly. Tried again on Wednesday and the exact same thing happened. Had my fiancee call immediately after I was hung up on and her phone call was answered. She asked them if they can provide service to the zip code 19125. The lady on the other end of the line would not confirm nor deny they offered service to that zip code until my fiancee told her the name of the neighborhood was Fishtown. At that moment the lady immediately said they do not provide service to that area because it was too far away. I then emailed them through their website stating that I would be looking for service in Northern Liberties, a town/zip code exactly 1 mile from my house. Received an email back from Seitz saying they do service that area. Also, their website lists Tacony, a town about 6 miles farther away from their offices in Drexel Hill, as a zip code they service. I am not sure why Seitz is being discriminatory against the Fishtown area but I believe it is unfair. However, the way in which Seitz handled the manner professionally is unacceptable. If after realizing they no longer wanted to provide me with the service they said they could, they should have returned my call and told me exactly why they no longer would, truthfully. Do not ignore my phone calls and then lie to my fiancee about the reasons you cannot provide service. Extremely unprofessional.

We strive to provide excellent service to all customers within our range with some exceptions when it comes to certain sections of Philadelphia. The statement above is a fabrication of the facts. We clearly explained our reasons why we do not service every section of Philadelphia which was a personal safety reason. I apologized for the inconvenience and was not rude or disrespectfull in any way. If I do not feel safe entering a section of Philadelphia iam not familiar with I will not take the job for personal safety reasons.

My overall experience with Seitz Wildlife Services was excellent! The squirrel fell in on a Saturday, Greg and Terri came out Sunday morning, arriving exactly when they said they would, and spent time trying to find the animal - including looking up the flue with a camera. Unfortunately the squirrel was silent and they were unable to locate him, and they did not charge me for that visit. About an hour after they left (of course!), the squirrel woke up and started scratching around again. I called them back and they came back out to my house for the second time that day, located the squirrel, which had fallen between the chimney pipe and the outside wall and ended up stuck underneath the fireplace. They spent a great deal of time trying to figure a way to get to the animal without damaging the fireplace. In the end they had to cut a small hole in the wall under the fireplace, and attached a wire trap with a 'one way door', baited with a piece of apple and peanut butter. The squirrel took the bait Monday morning, and the Seitz's came back within an hour of my call, took the squirrel away (to be released in the nearby State Park) and did an excellent job of closing up the hole, replacing the fireplace doors and cleaning up - you can't even tell that anything happened over there! They are kind, professional, and have compassion for animals and a good understanding their behavior, and I highly recommend them if you're having a problem with wild animals in your house.

They had a problem with their truck, which delayed getting started, but they called to keep us up to date on their progress. There was also a delay due to rain, and when they did the actual work it was very cold. Very nice people, complete job, NO SQUIRRELS SINCE!
Description of Work: To get squirrels out and keep them out. They opened the soffit between our half of a twin house and the neighbor's house, installed the barrier with apparently a one way exit. They sealed up around the pillars inside to prevent squirrels from getting back in.

Greg and his wife Terri were very thorough and conscientious. It was not easy to find the squirrel entrance, but they looked for several hours all over my house until they found it. Once they did, they spent several more hours in freezing temperatures putting in screening, etc. to keep the animals out. I would absolutely recommend using them instead of trappers that catch the squirrels, but can't keep more from coming in.
