I first spoke with the owner, Andy Briggs. From the very first, I knew I was speaking with a professional and a man with integrity. He was prompt, set up an appointment with his field specialist Chris to come and inspect the area. Chris took the information back and the very next day, Andy contacted my and e-mailed me a proposal. The price was fair, and the work is beyond reproach. If you need insulation, this is the company to get. I cannot fully explain my high level of satisfaction. I only wish all tradesmen were of this caliber. Many thanks to Andy and Chris for the job done at my home.

I called this company & explained the situation. We arranged an in-home visit, which led to some recommendations. I had never been in the house through a winter or the prime time of summer, but the operator, Andy, agreed that the attic could use more insulation. I was surprised when he said that the area above the garage really didn't need any as there was no heat there to lose. He also gave me two levels of insulation to consider for the attic area above the living space. He certainly did not attempt to over-sell me on anything. I decided on the higher level of coverage + decided to have the area above the garage covered with cellulose even though it wasn't recommended. I'm as concerned with heat penetration in the summer as well as heat loss in the winter & felt having that garage area covered may help in the summer. It's also cheaper to have it all done at once rather than deciding later to have a return visit for a small area. They arrived at the appointed time for the work. I see now why they're called Efficient Insulation, as all the work was done in two hours. Having no prior experience with this type of contractor, I don't have any means of comparison, but the attic looked as though a fresh coating of snow had fallen, which is the point. Insulation is a tough thing to judge, as it isn't an active thing such as a toilet or a dishwasher + it's out-of-sight. Additionally, since I'm new in the house, I have no frame of reference from the past to compare back to. But in this early stage of winter, the house seems to be fairly comfortable & I'm not running the furnace real high levels to maintain reasonable comfort, so I'd say I'm satisfied.

Extremely accommodating and fast response. Andy arrived on time and was very professional. Cleaned up very well after the job. You could literally feel the cold air blowing in through the back corner of my kitchen wall, but now you can't feel anything. Took about 2 hours total and he was very efficient. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for insulation!!

Andy and his crew were outstanding. They arrived on time, did everything they said they would and even shopvaced the house when they were done. We could not have have asked for a better or more professional contractor to work with. Definitely would recommend Efficient Insulation to everyone!

Briggs sent two young men (Chris & Dean) to do the job. Like the owner, they were friendly & knowledgeable. BUT what really impressed me was their honesty. They made some small holes in the dry wall on the porch and discovered that the cavities in the ceiling and the walls were very small and filled with old insulation, and therefore the spaces behind the wall couldn't take any new insulation. They also said that they would NOT charge me -- though they could have made lots of holes and blown a little insulation in to make it look like the job was done. This was refreshingly honest. When you contract for service behind the wall, verification is difficult. You really do depend on the honesty of your contractor. By the way, they did do the third floor and it appears to be done very well. In sum, I high recommend them for their friendly efficiency and for the trust they raised in me.

Called Andy Briggs for a free estimate to provide insulation for our attic. He prepared a bid for us on that day and discussed several options for our attic. We, of course, had to empty EVERYTHING from the attic before this project could be done! It was very easy to discuss changes to the original bid to include a wooden "dam" around the portion of the attic to be used for storage. This 16" plywood dam was very professionally designed and installed by Andy and his assistant. Andy installed tubing for two bathroom fans that were vented into the attic. These will be vented through the roof in the future. Cellulose (R49 value) was blown into the attic very efficiently. Access to the house from the truck was covered and kept as a minimal disruption to us. They also constructed a 3-inch foam cover over the pull-down stairs into the attic. This will provide excellent sealing to prevent any heat loss around the stair opening. Completed clean-up after the project was done. This Efficient Insulation team has an excellent work ethic and is very professional in their workmanship. We are extremely pleased with this contractor.

Andy went above and beyond in providing professional service. The job was done quickly and efficiently and special considerations, such as working around our attic entrance, were performed with no extra cost. Andy cleaned up any mess that was left over when the work was done. We quickly noticed the improved hear retention in our house. We can recommend Andy's services highly.

They came promptly and the technician was very informative and thorough. He did not rush and took his time. I eventually went forward with another company. There was nothing they did wrong and it was a good experience, I just found a better price.

GREAT. They arrived on time. They did not try to sell us more than we needed. Very professional. The thing that really impressed me was how wonderfully they cleaned up when they were done. Andy even offered to help move our furniture back in place. Price was exactly as quoted.

We had almost no insulation in the attic. What was left of the fiberglass was yellowed and deteriorated - probably installed when the house was built in 1950. Andy and crew showed up when he said he would and got the job done. Afterwards, he had me climb up and take a look. WOW. Nice thick layer of cellulose over the entire floor. I don't think we'll have to worry about heat escaping for a long time. Very thorough, very neat (which my mother will appreciate) ......and QUICK. He was in and out in about two hours. Would highly recommend and would hire again in a heartbeat.

We dealt with Andy for both the quote and the work in our attic. He is very professional, personable, flexible and prompt. The work was done efficiently with minimal interruption in the household. We were debating having another part of our house worked on and due to the great experience we will definitely use this company again!

Andy contacted me immediately about a frozen pipe problem after I called. Since this was a "small" insulation job, he negotiated a price over the phone. Our kitchen pipes were frozen for several days and at this point we were afraid of the pipes bursting like they did last year. We both came to the conclusion it was an insulation problem. After I explained the problem, Andy immediately asked for our plumber's name, and then made an appointment for 2 days later which was on a Sunday. On a bitter cold, snowy Sunday morning at 11:00 AM he called and said he was on the way. Arriving he assessed the situation, we discussed several alternatives to fix the problem and within 2+ hours our kitchen pipes were flowing freely. He even called a plumber to assure us that the plumbing work we had last year to repair the burst pipes was good and we could be mostly assured that the new plumbing could help prevent any burst pipes. Should this happen again, which we hope not, Andy offered us an alternative, but more expensive repair should this occur again. I would not hesitate a moment in calling Efficient Insulation again and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Andy was able to quickly provide me a consultation and estimate over the phone based on my dimensions and pre-existing insulation measurements. He and his crew were able to complete the work only a few days later after estimate. Andy was extremely professional and courteous. Couldn't be happier with the experience and glad I have this task off my list!

Andy and his crew insulated our 100 year old church ceiling with blown cellulose insulation. He was readily available for the estimate process, crawled into the dusty attic space and seemed to check everything quite carefully. Estimate was clear and correct on details. We obviously went ahead and hired him. The work went very smoothly. He and the crew arrived on time each day. The prep work was done carefully as was the insulation work itself. Work lasted about 3 days. Not surprisingly, we noticed the effect of the insulation immediately. Everyone in the church is very pleased. Once they assessed the attic, they added insulation baffles where necessary, roled fiberglass bates between the joists and blew in cellulose insulation throughout the attic. The cellulose insulattion blown into the attic is well above the joists and filled every corner. Witnin about two to three hours, they were done. I am very pleased with their professionalism from start to finish and would highly recommend them.

Tim and his helper were prompt, professional and did a great job. They went above and beyond by filling in the knee walls with insulation. We did not have an access panel in our third floor, so we needed to have one cut (14" x 14"). Our lathe and plaster ceiling cracked (about 10 inches by 5 inches) when the access panel was being cut. Tim called me immediately to let me know and came back the next day at 7 a.m. with a partner to perform the repair. It looks great and I really appreciated the fact that he brought a new drop cloth to minimize dust. The job created more dust than I anticipated, but that couldn't have been avoided with the cutting of the access panel. The benefits were immediate and dramatic. The third floor of our home is much more comfortable and the baseboard heaters are working at a fraction of the energy that they used to. We're looking forward to seeing how much we're going to save on our electric bills!

Andy blew insulation into the problem area. There had been an actual breeze entering the bathroom; by the time Andy finished the area was sealed.

From the beginning, Andy was prompt, courteous, and explained everything in great detail. Any questions I had he was sure to answer them. Him and his team arrived right on time, they were neat (wore booties throughout the house!), and got the work done. They cleaned everything up afterwards, and then took the time to go through and explain everything that was done. We are already feeling a difference on our third floor!
