I was very happy with what they accomplished. They did everything they said they were going to do and then some. The total cost came in exactly what the insurance paid.

The roofing crew showed up on time, worked 3 days to finish the job, one day from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm, rain was in the forecast all day. All in all the installers were very nice folks intent on doing a good job. There was some miner yard damage due to the collector truck used to catch singles coming off the roof, I didn't ask about repair as it was nothing I couldn't do myself with a little dirt and grass seed. If there is a off limits area in your yard or flower beds be sure to inform them of it on there arrival. The crew did a great clean up after the job was complete. The gutter installer completed his work on Monday the next week, he addressed all my concerns.

In talking about the house, and how the attic space on the 2nd floor was completely closed off, they suggested opening the roof while the shingles were off, to allow an electrician to run new wires and add insulation. Joyland worked well with the electrician so that openings were made for his access, and he could work while they continued on with the other parts of the roof. Everything was opened and closed within one day! The roof looks great. The sun room roof needed repair work and aluminum sheathing on the sides. The custom work looked great when finished! Very carefully done and not sloppy looking at all. I couldn't be happier! Plus, they offered a discount for paying in cash.

We really regret we ever had any dealings with this company On the good side, the crew that installed our new roof were prompt, courteous, respectful, and did a thorough job cleaning up after themselves. Our issue is with the appalling management. The roofing crew accidentally drove there elevating dumpster through our bedroom window and tore a hole in the siding. I realize accidents can happen even to the most careful people and their genuine sorrow quickly removed any anger on our part. We knew the upstairs windows would have to be replaced in a few years time so rather than get a patched and not quite matching window back we asked for the money they would have had to pay to repair the window but they refused and insisted they were only willing to give us a patched up repair which will never look the same so their contractor took the window out and promised to bring it back in two weeks repaired leaving us with polythene sheeting over our bedroom window. After that my phoned them and left a polite message requesting what their plan was to repair the hole they knocked out of the siding. Ten days have gone by and they are refusing to return our phone messages. Heaven help anyone who ever has to make a warrantee claim from them if we can't even get a response to them damaging our house.

Work was performed with high quality and they did an excellent job in cleaning up. I would highly recommend them for any roofing job.

They were courteous, professional, and fast. The salesman, Ed, really inspired confidence; we felt and feel like we can trust Joyland. After receiving the deposit, they called to schedule the work about a week later, which we felt was quite fast especially since we wanted special order shingles. When they came, they worked hard to complete the roofing job over two days, and they also took care not to damage our landscaping and to clean up after themselves. They even were courteous to my kids, who kept staring at them and making faces through the windows. They did a great job, and we feel like we got a good value as well. Honestly, we feel like everyone involved was making sure that they gave us the same quality and performance they would give if they were re-roofing their mom's house. They take pride in doing quality work. I'm very, very happy that we went with Joyland. Plus, the roof is gorgeous!

The job was very satisfactory. They came right away, did the job very promptly, and made sure there was no mess left when they were done. I highly recommend them.

Recieved an automated Email to provide contact information from a request I submitted for and estimate. On Saturday 01/26/2013 my dear wife received a call and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday the 30th. The 30th appointment was in conflict with a dental appointment I had scheduled, and e-mailed Joyland on 01/26/2013 at 11:31 AM and advised them that I would need to schedule a different day. Called them on Monday morning 01/28/2013 and left a message . Never received a response from them to the email or phone message and they did not show up on Wednesday, so they must have received the messages. This is the second time I responded to one of Angies Great Deals from Joyland Roofing, the first time I received the automated email and no further communication, so much for Angies great deals and the contractors that are associated with them. Went with another contractor on Angies list, but the company does not come up in searches, unless you search by company name, whats up with that.

I would certainly use Joyland Roofing again. The service person was helpful, and honest. He could have said I needed a new roof, and I would have believed him. But, being honest, he said the roof was good for a few more years. Based upon this experience, when the time comes, I'd use this company to do the roof work.

From the beginning this was the best experience I have had with a contractor. Ed showed up on time for the estimate. He went up on the roof and took the proper measurements and inspected the roof. While he was up there he also made us aware of a problem on the chimney and even took pictures to show us the problem and recommended a repair. Ed went over the roofing options available such as shingle selection and underlayment options. He then reviewed their warranty as well as the manufacturers warranty in detail. We got 3 estimates and they were not the cheapest but right in the middle. I made the decision based on their professionalism and their rating on Angie's List. The workers showed up on time and worked though the cold weather to get the job done. No damage to the property, the roofers buggy is very gentle to the ground not making ruts in the wet ground. They cleaned up at the end of the day and when the job was completed went around all the flower beds with a magnet to be sure all was picked up. You can feel confident that they will do a Great Job!!

Joyland was not the low bidder although the 4% discount for timely payment from Angie?s list members did make them lower. However, the bid included some items that were absent from the other bids: Replacement of a roof fan and, most important to me, a lifetime guarantee on the roof from GAF. Joyland was flexible in scheduling the job. It was originally scheduled for the end of October, 2012. However hurricane Sandy arrived two days earlier thoroughly saturating the soil. As I was concerned about damage to yard, I requested a delay and, despite the late notice they postponed the job two weeks. Although the soil had not fully dried, there was no damage to the yard. I stayed at home so I was able to observe the work. The work was quickly and professionally done. We have large plants close to the house and they all came through unscathed. The work spanned a few days and the site was cleaned up at the end of each day. Our roof was a little more complicated than usual due to large overhangs beyond the house walls. We have heat cables to prevent ice buildup so they needed to be removed and replaced. We also had metal screens over the gutters to prevent leaf clogging. It is essential that these screens be properly aligned to prevent leaves getting through or water backing up under the shingles. The screens are difficult to get properly adjusted and I needed to contact Joyland to have a few sections realigned. They responded quickly. Last week, we received notification that Joyland?s application for the warranty had been accepted by GAF and we have a full 50 year unprorated warranty. We are very satisfied with the work done.

The only thing I would say is to read the fine lines on everything, being that that was the only thing that disappointed me. There wasn’t any swearing or anything like that. They worked from early morning until late afternoon to finish the job in the 2 or 3 days they had told me. They were polite and asked if there was anything else they could do anything for me. I loved them. I would definitely have them back to do additional work.

Joyland started on the agreed upon date and finished within the timeframe noted in the contract. They completed the job based on the contractual price.

Went well. This was a special offer placed with Angies List. The contractor performed the work as promised and was curteous and professional.

In March of 2011 we paid a roofing contractor (not Joyland) to remove our existing roof and replace it with a new rubber roof. From the minute the work was "complete" the roof leaked at a skylight in one bathroom and at the flashing at the chimney in the living room, areas that had never leaked when the old roof was in place. Water would pour in around the skylight and even after 7-8 return trips over the course of a year to make repairs, both areas still leaked. It became apparent that the original roofer had no idea how to fix the leaks so I call Joyland Roofing to see if they would come out and take a look. David answered the phone and subsequently come out to see what was needed and make an estimate. He found the skylight problem right away, described it to me, told me he had what he needed to do the repair in the truck and, after I gave him approval, fixed it right then and there. It has never leaked since. The other repairs were outlined in a separate quote and included recaulking the flashing at the chimney and replacing a metal drip edge which was too low. All repairs were completed within the two trips. They were clean, neat, and prompt.

iThe repairs and maintenance solved the problem. We were surprised at the price but recognized that it took several hours to perform the service because our gutters were an uncommon style with an adjustable attachment to the edge of the roofline. They were not intimidated by the uncommon materials however and did a great job.

They were among the lowest bids I received. They did a great job overall and it was not easy work. One of the skylights was leaking and they were able to remove it completely. They noticed the original roofers didn't use the correct plywood, so they replaced all of that as well.

They were done in less than half an hour. Joyland didn't try to sell my parents anything else. Since my parents are elderly Joyland could have tried to take advantage of them, but they didn't!! We would use them again for this service.

The neat serviceman arrived punctually. We discussed together what he was going to do. He performed the tasks efficiently and gave me a thorough assessment of his findings.

Joyland was indeed a "Joy" to work with. They tore off the old roof and installed new underlayment, flashing and shingles in 7 work days on a large and difficult roof, with steep pitches. Each of the crew of 6 or 7 were great, very hardworking, respectful, honest, courteous and helpful. We became friendly with them, my wife providing snacks, iced tea, and occasional lunch. In the afternoons while on the roof, they would start singing hymns or patriotic songs in beautiful voices; this brought tears to the eyes. Replacing a roof is not something anyone wants to do, but Joyland made it as much of a pleasurable experienced as it can be. We've dealt with different roofers over the years in various places, and Joyland is the simply the BEST. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone.

During the process of getting the roofed repaired. One of the workers fell into my sun room. They were able to fix this and it look the same as it did before. There was no additional charges. The work was excellent and I would hire them again as needed. I would also recommend their services to others.
