Henry did a great job on painting and doing minor repairs to our home. He was reliable and lived up to his word. We felt comfortable having him do work on our new home in our absence. We appreciated his attention to detail and if there was an adjustment we felt needed to be made he did it with no problem. He was easy to work with and coordinated nicely with our other contractors (cleaners, flooring people, & carpenter). We look forward to hiring him to do some future improvement projects.
Description of Work: Painting, fixing drywall damage (such as major wall defects & stud pops), minor plumbing work, putting up a temporary wall, moving a screen door, and minor repairs to doors, etc.

The job went well. Henry went above and beyond. His professionalism is second to none. The price was extremely reasonable and includes the material that he brought with him since we agreed to pay labor. I would have picked up the material and pay for it but he generously offered to do that.
Description of Work: I called Sure Fix to have an 8 X 8 pad with 5, 6 X 6 pieces of wood as the foundation for a hot tub. I couldn't seem to find anyone that was willing to do it. Henry answered the phone and after I told him what I wanted he said "when do you want to do it?" I jokingly said right now and he said I will be there in two ours with the material. He arrived and handed me the receipt for the material and he said he makes no money on the material and was only charging the agreed upon price for labor. It took less than two hours for him to build and level it. I was amazed at how quickly it was completed. His professionalism is second to none. I highly recommend Sure Fix. Deal with Sure Fix and you get Henry and his great personality as an added bonus.
From start to finish working with Henry was a joy. Henry help move the project along with suggestions of what could be done and how. I found Henry and his crew to be very professional throughout the entire project. Clear estimates and punctual. The job was completed in a shorter period of time then estimated which was a pleasant surprise. If you want the best hire Henry and his crew. Thanks Henry!
Description of Work: Remodeled the entire bathroom including, plumbing, flooring, painting, etc. Also advised in the purchasing of the products used in the remodel.
Overall, we are absolutely thrilled with how our house turned out and the process of getting everything done was as smooth as could be. It feels like we have a new house! Henry listened to me and did what I wanted. He explains things and was able to work within our budget. Henry is honest, hard-working, and knows what he is doing. No one can beat his pricing or his work. In the future, whatever we need done to our house - big or small - we will call Henry first. Henry is a great person and has an unbeatable work ethic. Please read my story: I was living overseas and broke my ankle. We were about to return to the States and I was stuck in a hospital in London contemplating our move back and how I was going to be able to get what I wanted done to the house. My friend recommended Henry (Sure Fix) and I emailed him what I needed done and that that we only had a limited timeframe to get the work done. The next day I received a return email explaining the work involved to complete the job and the cost for labor. Henry then called me in London! We were able to speak in more detail about the job. This was so helpful to me. Having this conversation meant that I was going to work with someone who listened to me and understood what I wanted within my budget. I returned to the States, we met at Lowes to select our hardwood floors and carpet. Henry helped guide us in the right direction to select the right type of flooring for our family's needs. He was also able to give me an estimate of the cost for the material, which made it easier for us to make these selections. Our new hardwood floors look great! Henry and his crew did a great job. Henry told us to have Lowes install our carpet because they were offering to install carpet at no cost. This saved us money, which I appreciated. Although Lowes installed the carpet, Henry handled everything. He helped us select our carpet and padding, he was the contact person for the carpet installer, and he oversaw the work done and made sure it was done perfect. Henry told us to go to Joe Mascari's in Allentown to buy great quality, reasonably priced carpet runner for our staircase. We would have never known about this store if it were not for his guidance. Henry then met us at Sherwin Williams to select paint for the house. I wanted the entire house painted. Henry and his crew did a great job. We had the entire interior painted: walls, ceiling, trim, and inside closets. We then decided that we wanted crown molding to be installed in our office, dining room, and family room. It looks great! We also needed an outlet to be installed over our fireplace (for a TV) - he did it. Throughout the process, whenever I called Henry, he either answered his phone or returned my call promptly. Communication is huge and was never a problem with us. Also, when they finished the job, they cleaned up after themselves. My house was clean! I am pleased to say that our experience working with Henry (Sure-Fix) could not have gone better. I highly recommend Sure-Fix. Thank you Henry and your guys.
Description of Work: Painted the interior of the entire house, including closets, trim and ceilings. Henry met us at Sherwin Williams and helped me to select the paint colors. Very involved and extremely helpful. He got samples of our colors, and put them on the walls for us to check before making our final decision. Henry gave us his input regarding our color selection, how it looked and how it flowed through the house (very helpful). We had a hard time getting the right colors to work for the dining room. Then Henry suggested approaching it a different way with an accent wall. His idea was fantastic! We went back to the paint store and selected new colors and it worked great. Pulled-up the wall-to-wall carpet throughout the entire house, including the stairwell. Install Flooring: Installed hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor (except for kitchen). Henry met us at Lowes to help us select the type of hardwood floor that would best suit our needs and budget. He also helped us to select the type of carpet to be installed on our second floor. He was informative and knowledgeable regarding the types of floor and able to estimate the cost of the material needed for the job. Having him with us to make these selections made the process less stressful and simple. Henry was a great help in guiding us to make these important selections for our house. Henry was very understanding regarding our budget and worked with us easily. He was also very honest in telling us to have Lowes install the carpet for the second floor because Lowes was having a special on carpet installation at no charge. However, he still helped us to select a good carpet and padding type, AND he oversaw the entire carpet installation. He was the contact for the installer to call and Henry was at the house to oversee that the installation went perfect. Installed wood stairs for the stairwell. We needed to select our runner for the stiarwell and he recommended a great store for us to go to to make this selection. Crown Molding: Installed crown molding in our family room, dining room and office. Electric: Installed outlet in our family room, over the fireplace. Extras: Changed our shower head for the master bath to a spray nozzle. Installed all new deadbolts for the house and made them work on one key.
Henry, the owner is AWESOME, and he handles everything personally. There isn't any getting "pushed aside" to a lesser person, Henry takes care of you first-hand. he takes GREAT PRIDE in attending to your wishes, and making you a satisfied customer. He had a color issue with some custom paint we wanted, and re-painted 3 times until it was matched-up correctly, at no extra charge. Henry gives you ONE PRICE for everything, and stays within that quote, no matter what problem he encounters along the way. He is VERY honest and trustworthy, and STICKS to his price and schedules. Simply put, HE DOES what he says he will. His crew is also incredible, and the versatility of skills they display are second to NONE, and EVERYTHING they did was of the highest quality. They protected anything that was not being re-done, they cleaned-up after themselves, and were truly professional the whole time. Henry is a pleasure to deal with, and goes above-and-beyond on almost everything he does. I CANNOT IMPRESS UPON EVERYONE ENOUGH, how good Henry and his guys truly are. It was, EASILY, the best and most pleasant contractor experience in my entire lifetime. Henry will never give you any troubles, and is very responsive to everything you want, need, or ask for. As far as his work that was done, the shower is awesome. he ripped out the old tub, changed the positioning to increase space in the bathroom (his idea), and installed a complete new shower with glass doors. His work on the bathroom lighting, vanity and plumbing is superb. Everything clean and professional. His tile guy is just incredible. His cuts and fitting are very precise. His color arranging of any off-color tiles was also incredible, as the slate tiles we picked out were not uniform colors. Slate is stone, and natural stone varies. his tile guy handled the variations like an artist. I WILL be using him for granite counter tops, tile floor in the kitchen, and hardwood floor installations in the very near future. I HAVE NO NEED to ever look any farther for a contractor, EVER AGAIN. Simply put, if you have work that needs to be done, and you do NOT give Henry and his crew a shot, you are only hurting yourself. Do yourself a favor, use Henry and his company SURE-FIX, and forget about problems.
Description of Work: Gutted and replaced entire bathroom. Including tub / shower, walls, floor, toilet and vanity and all necessary plumbing changes. Installed separate shut-offs for shower hot and cold, and rest of bathroom. Removed radiator in bathroom and installed slate tile throughout, including inside of closet. Built new shelves inside bathroom closet. Replaced drywall in kitchen, including ceiling. Installed lighting in kitchen. Installed range hood and proper venting, including soffit to hide venting. Painted entire interior of home, 9 rooms including ceilings.

It was excellent. He is very skilled and his workers are, too. He contacts you on time and he comes on time. He was helpful in picking the countertops and a backsplash, he gave his professional opinion which I loved. He's meticulous on details and aims to make you happy with everything he does. If you don't like something, he's eager to come back and take a look at it and is willing to make changes. He aims to please. I would definitely recommend him to my friends. He totally respected my home. His guys put booties on their feet when they came in and they cut things outside so that there was no mess inside. They cleaned and covered everything up. It was beautiful. They're the best. If I have anything to be done in my house, I would definitely call them back. PS: Miss Carter wants you to call her.
Description of Work: They installed granite countertops and a glass backsplash. They also did the plumbing and touch-up painting.

So far everything is good. They gave me an estimate two weeks prior to them starting the work. We added a deck after they did the estimate. The initial job was $7,300. I paid for labor, paint and extra supplies which was $4,000. The deck was another $3,600 for the supplies. I don't know what the labor will be on the deck yet. The job should wrap up by the end of next week. They are very responsive. I call them and if he doesn’t answer, he gets back to me within minutes. I would absolutely use them again and I have already recommended them to a neighbor. I also got ten percent off from being an Angie's List member which was a nice bonus.
Description of Work: I am using Sure-Fix Remodeling for a substantial remodel job.

We needed to enlarge our first floor powder room to include a walk-in shower to accomodate my elderly mother who was moving in with us. Henry understood the necessity to finish on time since my mother had given notice at her apartment building and was planning to move in with us as of August 31. He was booked through the first three weeks of August but promised he would arrive on August 22 and could finish in a week. Even losing a day and a half to waiting for delivery of the actual shower unit and then because the humdity kept the spackle from drying completely, Henry finished before my mother moved in. His workmanship is excellent. We were completely satisfied with Henry's work. We both felt good after meeting him the first time. He spent a day shopping with us for the items we needed. He made a great suggestion for the floor tile and it looks great. One evening, towards the end of the project, we were shopping in Lowe's looking for a solution for what to use as a threshold at the bathroom door - something my mother wouldn't trip over but would still look good between the hallway tiles and the bathroom tiles. Suddenly we heard Henry's voice calling to us. He was also in the store and within minutes he found the perfect item. When it came to our shower, knowing it was for an elderly person, he recommended a larger size than what we had first planned. Our original plan was to keep half of the coat closet and use the other half for the new shower. He told us that he didn't think we would be happy with the results - both would be too small to be acceptable. He always listened to any suggestions we made, evaluating all possibilities. In the end we agreed to relocate the closet completely and use the larger shower. He was correct in his assessment and we are thrilled with the results. This is quite a compliment since we generally do not have contractors do any of the work in our house. We are avid DIYers and generally take care of these things ourselves. It was very difficult to give control over to another person for this work, but we just didn't have the time to get it done by ourselves. We had company arrive just two days after the work was done. Everyone thought my hallway looked better now than it did before with the large closet doors taking up a whole wall and everyone was impressed with the new bathroom - both the quality of the work and the time in which it was done. Apparently we are the only people in our family who ever had construction work finished on time. We have already recommended Henry to someone looking for a contractor.
Description of Work: In order to enlarge our first floor powder room to accomodate a shower stall, it was necessary to take space from an existing coat closet that backed up to the room. In addition all the plumbing connections for the existing sink and toilet had to be moving to another location in the bathroom. New plumbing had to be installed for the shower drain and supply lines. Electrical lines had to be relocated as well. It was a total gut job. The new bathroom was built from scratch. Once the plumbing was completed and the shower installed the walls needed to be repainted and the floor needed to be retiled. Henry and his crew also installed a new coat closet by opening a wall into the back of my garage. Henry and his crew arrived on time each morning and had a clear idea of the work that needed to be accomplished each day to stay on schedule. His fee was for labor only. He shopped with us for the items we needed to pick out and then purchased all the materials such as wallboard, lumber, etc. for which we reimbursed him. They cleaned up after themselves each day and especially well at the end of the job.
For starters, I have a unique perspective on renovations because I am a advanced DIY'er. I gutted and remodeled my house myself, for instance, and built a deck on my old house before. I am skilled in all aspects of home constructions. Lately, since I started my own business, I have been to busy to do work on my house myself. The point is, I know the difference between good and bad work. My entire family is in the trades. I am glad that I found Henry, I will definitely hire him to do future work. All you need to know are 2 things: 1) Henry is competent in his trade. He knows what he is doing, he has a good crew, he values quality work...he will do the job properly with no BS, I am confident of that...no matter what the job is. 2) Henry is a man of integrity. I had the chance to talk with him beyond matters of the job, and Henry is simply a good hearted, respectable person. He treated me not like a customer, but like a member of his family. Henry is the type of person that renews your faith in the goodness of people. What else needs to be said? He came very quickly to give an estimate, he did everything he promised, he exceeded my expectations with the finished product, I am a happy customer. My only caution to you is: do not try to approach him looking for a bargain. Henry does great work, and he charges and deserves a fair price. He goes above and beyond, and is worth the cost. He's not particularly 'expensive', but if you get multiple quotes and he happens to come in a little higher, I would say in this case, you get what you pay for.
Description of Work: I had an existing deck that was in poor condition. I hired Sure-Fix (Henry and his crew) to tear down the existing structure, and rebuild a bigger and nicer deck. Work included demo of the old deck, site prep, new, additional footers, new framing, new decking, new stairs, new roof for part of the deck, new railing, soffit and gutters, lattice around the base, and ran an electrical line for a ceiling fan. I designed the deck myself, because I am handy w/ CAD software. I also handled the permit process. Henry made some improvements to my design, and improvised where necessary. He interpreted what I wanted into a much nicer version of what I had originally planned. I spent about $10,500 overall, $5,450 in labor, and $5,050 in materials. Henry did not mark up the material cost. He met me at Lowes to make the order, and I paid directly. A couple times we went back to the store to buy additional materials, and sometimes he just got some stuff at gave me the receipt. He was very clear about not intending to make money on materials. His earnings came from labor. He even gave me a 10% off Lowes coupon for my large initial purchase, which saved me about $450. I felt like he really cared about saving me money, and he treated my budget and dollars as if they were his own. But he didn't cut corners...he made sure everything was done right, to-code, and such that the finished product would be made right and long-lasting.
Henry started on the day he promised, he brought in his crew and gutted the entire kitchen. Re-built the walls with dry walls (what we found was plaster that was not workable) Installed the ceramic floor to perfection, installed the high-end kitchen cabinets with crown molding taking great deal of attention to details, the installation was a picture out of a magazine! Then installed the appliances, Kitchen Island, installed new windows and measured for the granite tops. We had to select the color. As soon as the kitchen was done, the granite was delivered and installed the same day. We have now the most beautiful kitchen thanks to the professional work of Henry and his crew. After the kitchen he moved to the bathroom and did a splendid job. Henry designed the tile pattern, great touch! The Job started when promised and finished one day ahead of schedule. All in budget! I could go on and on ... this team is outstanding!
Description of Work: Henry worked with the assistance of my wife on the perfect design of her dream kitchen and the remodeling of our main bathroom. After measuring and designing, he proposed his estimate. The beauty of the deal is that we were able to choose our own kitchen cabinet and pay for them directly - Henry charged us for the installation. So we went for the best. Our original kitchen had the short kitchen cabinet with soffits on top; we wanted full-length cabinets with crown molding. When we agreed on the design and cost, he set-up a schedule and took an entire day shopping with us at Lowe’s where we ordered the kitchen cabinets, the back splash, flooring, kitchen island, bathroom supplies, etc. We estimated the delivery time of the kitchen cabinets and appliances (again I ordered my own appliances on the web and was able to save thousands of dollars for the same product available locally, Henry charged just for the installation). We also decided to change 6 of our windows, Henry had no problems adding to our original project.

This was the best experience we have ever had with a remodeling company. The men arrived in the morning, worked until late in the day, even in the sweltering heat. They were very professional and courteous. The job was completed perfectly.
Description of Work: The existing deck was increased in size, with new flooring and new railing. THe steps were re-positioned. Also, the drain pipe was re-routed away from the property. Henry and his men performed the job superbly. They were courteous and professional. They came every day and completed the job on time. They even went beyond the contract and made improvements without adding to the cost.

I needed a plumber to find the source of the water leak that appeared on my 1st floor bathroom ceiling. I called several plumbers in the area to give me an estimate, but I wanted to hire someone who could do all the work from diagnosing the problem, to repairing, and finalizing with paint. Most who responded only do plumbing repairs. I then found Sure-Fix Remodeling through Angie's Lists. I was surprised that Henry the owner/contractor answered my call even after hours and came out right away to check my problem. He didn't charge me for coming out. He first looked for the source of the leak and explained to me the situation, and then gave me his free estimate to do the job. I felt very comfortable with Henry. He was friendly, and seemed honest, and knowledgeable. I agreed to have him do the job. Knowing the urgency of my problem, Henry stopped the water from leaking and came back the following day to get the materials needed to do the job. He came back with one of his workers to help him. They worked fast, neat, and stayed meticulous to doing a great job. He fulfilled what was on the job contract, and sometimes did more than what was expected. I like Henry and his workers very much. He's friendly, and very easy to talk to. He does a wonderful job, and I highly recommend him to my neighbors and friends. I will surely keep his number for my future jobs.
Description of Work: Diagnose the source of water leak in the 2nd floor bathroom to the 1st floor bathroom. Remove old toilet on the 2nd floor bathroom, and install new. Fixed the 1st floor toilet so it wont leak and changed the inside mechanism so the toilet is more efficient. Repair ceiling of water damage. Replace ceiling, spackle, sand, and paint.
Henry is a joy to work with. His team was professional and did good work. His estimate for the time the job would take was right on the money. He also is very good at suggesting less expensive ways in fixing problems. I whole heartedly recommend this contractor and plan on using him in the future.
Description of Work: Sure Fix-it painted interior, three rooms plus hallways on 1st and 2nd floors. Installed wood siding on the 1st floor hallway walls and framed out arch ways in wood molding all wood was clear stained. Repaired crack on sealing of kitchen and also touched up some spots that were missed by prier paint contractor in kitchen. Installed toilet on 2nd floor and properly finished tile floor water proofing same.

See above. It went great overall. Super efficient, and attention to details. I should add that Henry is open to suggestions, and questions. He even gave us advice on deck furniture - what holds up well, etc. He is all about quality, but he is also respectful of your budget. We will definitely have him back in the fall to do our bathroom. :)
Description of Work: We found Henry on the Angies List, actually. His company is Sure Fix Remodeling and he has a great website where you can see some of his projects. He was the first one we called, and we didn't even get more estimates. He came promptly for the estimate - listened to what we wanted, made suggestions, measured, and then gave us a price. He met us at various stores comparing prices and materials, and helped us every step of the way. His 20+ years of experience was impressive, and we could tell he knew all about materials. He tore off our old deck, and replaced it with trek. At his suggestion, we added spindle railings, trek steps, lattice underneath, and put lighting in the posts. He and Tony worked about 3 days total - they are hard workers - all day, even weekends. We are so pleased with the finished deck, and the workmanship, and the price. It is rock-solid sturdy, everything in alignment, not one thing we would do differently. The guys are very courteous, and cleaned everything up totally. Henry is reachable by phone all the time. There was never a mess at the end of the day. Henry answered all our questions, offered to return if anything needed to be changed. We had friends see the new deck, and they are planning to get in touch for things they need. Highly recommended, A+ all the way!

Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with everything. Henry is prompt, he was respectful of our home, our time and our budget. Incredibly efficient, and the job was done right. He guarantees his work, and told us to call at any time. We have given his card to several friends who need work done also - one of them has already booked him. He works hard, even weekends, and finishes when he promised. And the price was very reasonable for excellent quality work. A+ all the way.
Description of Work: We have an older home that still had the aqua plastic countertops and the aqua tile wall from the 1950's. Some of the kitchen had been modernized, and we decided to keep the cabinets. But we wanted granite countertops and a tile backsplash. We found Sure Fix on Angie's List, and the day we called, Henry came to give us an estimate. It was within out budget, so we went ahead. Henry met us at a couple stores with suggestions about tile, and granite, and what would work in our kitchen, and what wouldn't. He was very conscious of getting quality products, but good prices. He offered suggestions, but listened to what we wanted. Henry and Tony came to our home and did the job in 1 1/2 days which was amazing. They took off the old countertops, and within a day, I had a black and brown marbled granite countertop that is beautiful - and which gives me more countertop space. I have a new double sink with soap dispenser, sprayer, garbage disposal. The backsplash is beige tile with a row of smaller dark brown tiles through it. I love everything about it. Once Henry gets there, he moves everything, does everything and cleans everything up. It's done right, and we'd highly recommend his work.

Overall Surefix/Henry did a good job and the project was on time and within the budget quoted. Henry made sure I was satisfied and came back to do some light touch up work when I noticed some blemishes and to install some door hardware free of charge which was very cool of him. I do think next that I have Henry come and do work, which I will, I will be a little more demanding as I have noticed somethings lacking in attention to detail with the passing of time. That said, I am happy with Henry's work and price/value and I look forward to having him do work again for me.
Description of Work: Painted entire interior of home including basement (finished and unfinished parts), first floor (kitchen, living room, dining room & stairwell) and second floor (three bedrooms & hallway). House is approximately 1,600 sq ft. Henry did not paint 1/2 bath on first floor nor full bath on second floor as we were planning to remodel later. In addition, Henry also removed two closets in one of the bedrooms to create more space. We used two different colors for 1st & basement and second floor. Henry purchased paint that we specified (Low VOC) from Sherwin Williams. The cost of paint and all materials was included in the price of $4000.

I am very pleased with the overall job quality. In fact, I was about to install wall sconces to the morning room, and Henry was nice enough to help me out with that and got that done for me
Description of Work: I used Henry's (the owner) services to paint the foyer, living and kitchen area. Also, got the crown molding and wall molding in the area. He quoted a fixed price for the job that included material and labor. On the day of the service, he came with another person and started the work. Both were extra careful in making sure that they have tarps and blankets on the floor so as to avoid any mess.
Generally speaking Henry & his partner & the 2 workers were excellent! The projects are still in the working stage, but progressing steadily every day. The work done is excellent. Everyone is on time & ready to work. Only break was for lunch which never lasted more than 30 min. Additional cost had to be charged due to a few glitches when going to put in new laundry room.
Description of Work: Gutted the entire bathroom, removed bath tub, toilet, cabinet with sink, removed all tile from walls, removed built-in medicine chest, put in an outlet. Gutted an extra bedroom closet to move washer & drier upstairs. Made a tiled walk-in shower with seat & shelves for toiletries with glass doors, handicapped height toilet, new vanity & sink with new fixtures & new tile on the walls, painted the ceiling--still in progress. Had to put in new plumbing for the shower and for the washer. New electricity for the washer & drier, an outlet for the drier & a water box for the washer. Remove rug from the closet & put down tile in washer/drier closet.

I found Henry through a neighbor. When we did the estimate he knew exactly what I wanted. He put everything in writing. Anytime I called him with questions he would return my promptly. I am very fussy and he completed the job above my expectations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: Henry from Sure-Fix did an awesome job. He was very responsive and completed the job exactly when and how he said he would. His work is excellent and VERY NEAT!!!! I would plan to use him for all my maintenance and renovations. I am so happy with the job he did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
