Sure-Fix had far and away the most recommendations on Angie's List, and with good reason! Renovations can turn into nightmares -- we've all heard those kinds of stories -- but working with Henry and his crew was a pleasure. When Henry came over to give the estimate, he also made good suggestions to improve the finished bathroom. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail. Used drop cloths on carpet leading to the bathroom, and they cleaned up thoroughly each day. Early on, when re-installing shelves in the new closet, a crew member accidentally poked a hole through the wall and into the adjoining room. We figured they'd repair the holes after the project was done, but instead they fixed the drywall holes right away (including re-painting), and now in the adjoining room you can not tell there was ever a problem. So even when there was a problem, they made it right. Whenever I had a question, I could call Henry and either talk to him immediately or he got back to me very soon. If you're looking for a contractor who is easy to work with, listens to you, and goes beyond the stated requirements, look no further. When we have more remodeling work to be done, we'll be sure to get back in touch with Sure-Fix.

Henry was professional and knowledgeable. The work completed by Sure-Fix was impeccable and was completed on time. We have an old Victorian and were taken to the cleaners by our previous contractor. If only we had found Henry sooner. We've never met another contractor like Henry. Absolutely the nicest, most genuine person we've come across in a long time. We would recommend Sure-Fix to anyone needing work done.

Everything went fantastic. I could not be happier with everything that was done. I will definitely recommend him to anyone of thinking of getting their yard done.

We decided to remodel our kitchen. We spoke to a number of contractors. Henry impressed us with his professionalism. He was extremely clear as to pricing options and time frame for project completion. It could not have gone better. He said it would take five days and it took five days. His crew was extremely professional. They were on time every day. They made sure that everything went smoothly, working to make it a clean and pleasant experience. Henry was on site daily to make sure that everything was done to the highest quality. He made sure everyone knew what needed to be done and made sure that it was completed in a high quality and timely manner. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The owner has not reimbursed us for the mistakes he and/or his workers made, despite his promise to do so, and we have heard nothing from anyone at this company since our email was sent.

The job went extremely well. Very smooth all the way. I consulted with Henri on the deck plan. He provided me with all the necessary detail in terms of what was needed for the permit and materials to purchase. Once everything was delivered, Henri started right to work. Henry was responsive and friendly from the first phone conversation. Henry initially was called for an estimate for our hall bath. After much thought we decided the laundry room needed a reno first. We liked Henry so much we had him come out for the laundry room estimate. The price was reasonable and he was able to move his schedule around to fit us in before we left for vacation. The team arrived the first day and went straight to work. I was shocked how much work they got done on the first day. The demo was completely done, new plumbing installed, and they insulated and dry walled the whole area. The connecting bathroom was recently renovated so we wanted the same tile to continue into the laundry room. Henry purchased the same tile and was able to seamlessly continue t into the new renovated area. We've had previous work done on the house and the biggest difference we saw in Henry from the other contractors was that he did all the finishing touches without having to mention it to him. The biggest area we saw this was the new exterior side door that was installed. The old door was replaced and the storm door was removed all together. This left an unfinished gap on the exterior brick. Henry created a new border that looks fantastic. We were more than pleased with his work. Henry's team did a great job and cleaned up everyday. The work was quick and excellent. His finishing work made a real difference. We are still planning on doing our hall bath and we will be calling Henry again.

We had an excellent experience with Henry and his crew. The estimate was thorough and prompt. Henry checked in before the start of the work to explain timing and be sure we didn't miss anything. The work was meticulously done and the crew was very unobtrusive. I was working from home while some of the job was completed and they stayed busy the whole day and even wrapped up the job a little quicker than I expected, which left me with my house put back together before the weekend, which was very welcome. The patching and painting is so well done that it is pretty much impossible to tell where the work was done. Our basement has been entirely transformed - from a dark, cave-like space to a bright, clean and welcoming environment. We couldn't be happier. I appreciated the quality of materials used as well as the level of workmanship. Henry came to the site with the crew and checked in throughout the project, he walked me through everything before they wrapped up to be sure we didn't miss anything. Great company to work with.

See above- Came when promised finished jobs in timely fashion

He was running a little late as he was coming from somewhere in Lehigh Valley that was understandable. I was running late as well so it worked out fine. I really like how he did his proposal. He bills for labor alone. The materials are all purchased by the client, that way there is no wrestling with allowances and adjustments as the work progresses. He was very informative and made great suggestions about how to save money on the job. Unfortunately, another provider from Angie's List was able to give me a propsal about $2,000 below his for labor so I went with someone else. If he had been close in price, I would have loved to work with him!

Let me start by saying that this was our first experience with a large remodel project. As such, our pre- and post-project expectations might not be everyone's, but I think there is much common ground. 1) Staff / Personalities Henry - the lead contractor. He is a very polite and easy to talk to gentleman. He was often available by cell for questions or concerns. He is also a Yes man. That means that he is quick to agree with you, but then often his subcontractor would talk you out of a decision/idea. I have no issues with Henry on the whole. Mike - the lead subcontractor. He is a very (very) talkative person, who prides himself on quality work. Most of his opinions/suggestions for the work was towards whichever made things the easiest for him, not what was the best for us (the customers). He is also somewhat difficult to work with, as he is somewhat abrasive if your opinion differs from his. Case in point, my wife found herself unable to talk to him after less than 2 weeks into the project. If they spoke to each other, there was an argument. Tim - the helper/apprentice. He is a very nice person, seemingly only handicapped by Mike's directions. He seemed to genuinely want to go above and beyond, but that might be because he got paid hourly, while the others were paid project based. 2) Cost / Finances I really liked Henry's approach to overall project cost. He quoted a labor cost for the whole project (10k) and said whatever we chose/needed for materials would determine the rest of the cost. He was very meticulous with receipts and was willing to go into everything in detail. I think that we spent more than we intended, but we were able to choose EXACTLY what we wanted and I made several trips to Lowes to assist in the decision-making process with Mike. 3) Project process / scheduling I do feel that the process took longer than we expected (or were originally quoted). However, that might have been our lack of experience in a total remodel project.Henry was pretty good at communicating general time frames. 4) Quality / Attention to detail This is where we were the most disappointed. While the general work was fine, it was all the little things that bothered us. We are ignoring the things that were taken care of in the two final walkthroughs. Here is our "laundry list" of items that after the fact we wished would have been done better/nicer. The tile floor was well chosen and seems nice and strong, but it is not as level as expected (there is up to a 1-2mm tip to tip variance). This is not so much visually problematic, more of a feeling of misalignment when standing or walking on it. The tile floor trim is already coming off the cabinets. Also, the threshold cracked within a week of completion, and despite trying to schedule a replacement after our vacation, we have not heard back from Henry (although we have not pushed the issue) to fix it. The pantry in the kitchen was nicely designed, but the door rests on a plain plywood block of wood which is visible as soon as you open the door. The light switches while functional, flex and wiggle a little when used, which feels cheap. The corner cabinet's are freezing cold, which implies no insulation was done there. The guys pierced the upstairs hardwood floor twice with maybe 3/4" holes, which we only noticed when we moved a throw rug. 5) Overall impression / satisfaction We are soooooo happy to be rid of our old depressing, dark, and unusable kitchen. We would probably not use Henry again, or if we did, Mike would not be allowed on the project or in our house. We would have loved a little more attention to detail, but maybe we were expecting too much.

Henry first met with us early in the year, I had done the plans for the kitchen & bath myself but we spent a good few meetings making sure that everything was right, this seemed a bit tedious at the time but was well worth it in the end as everything turned out great. On Henry's suggestion we purchased all the materials up front, so the price I have put 70k includes all the materials & furniture as well as Henry's fee. Having everything in the house before the actual renovation started meant that the whole job was done in five weeks from start t finish. It was a great experience Henry & crew were great to work with, they were very pleasant, they arrived on time & everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. We added extra stuff a couple of times but it was no problem for the crew they just did it no questions asked. We will definitely hire Surefix Remodeling again probably very soon.

Our dilemma was how to upgrade our very small (6'X8' footprint) and dated Master Bath (think 1973 Harvest Gold!) without overspending. We hope to move and downsize in the next two years and felt this bath had to be redone in order to list the house but if we overspent, we wouldn't get all our money back. Our decision was to keep the same floorplan but go for new equipment and a lighter, brighter feeling. Based on cost figures and customer feedback on Angie's List, we selected Sure-Fix Remodeling from Easton. Henry answered our inquiry promptly and came out to review our needs and offer a quote. We explained that this was not going to be a "dream bath", due to small space and a limited budget, but that we wanted a fresh, new look and were hoping to make the room appear slightly more spacious. Henry "got it" immediately and assured us he'd help us achieve that goal. As others mentioned, Henry's deal is that the customer comes up with their own list of fixtures, materials, etc.; to that, he adds whatever else he'll need. His quote therefore was for the necessary labor and installation; materials were on our dime. Henry will work with you if you want to do any of the work yourself; in our case, we decided we'd do the final painting in order to save a few more dollars. Free to choose your own store, we went with Home Depot because they certain specific items we needed. I met Henry on a designated day at the store's Contractor Desk and we placed our large order. Henry had a coupon which saved me $, a pleasant surprise. Home Depot agreed to deliver everything in a single delivery, once it was all together. Although our written contract with Sure Fix said that work was to begin in the beginning of November, a couple of special order items (vanity top and shower surround) had not yet arrived at Home Depot so we had to push the date back until after Thanksgiving. This was agreeable to Sure-Fix. Home Depot subsequently delivered the whole shebang on a pallet, wrapped in plastic, with the order totally correct! The Sure-Fix crew arrived bright and early on Monday, November 26 and began demolition. They were friendly, professional and respectful of our home and pets. We were amazed at how quickly things moved along, and with no serious problems. Henry came by each day to make sure everything stayed on track and that we were satisfied with what we were seeing. By Thursday morning, a few last minute touches were done and it was complete! In 3-1/2 days, our bathroom was tranported from 1973 to 2012 and it looked just as we had envisioned. We were well satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and their adjustments to would-be problems, like a less-than-true wall. Along the way, there were a few incidental items that had to be purchased, like the marble threshold, spacers for the tiles, plumbing parts, etc. The Sure-Fix crew picked these up and added them to the final bill. I appreciated that they took care of these "missed " items. We had some material left over, which I returned to the store for $30 credit. I used that to purchase a good tile sealant and had 88 cents left! Henry was very easy to work with and anxious to please. He values his business's reputation and likes repeat customers and referrals. I felt very comfortable with Henry and his employees and expect to have them back in the future. I'm pleased to add our recommendation to those already on Angie's List. P.S. I should mention there was one problem afterwards, a very, very slight drip from the trap under the vanity. Because it was so minimal, we told Henry we could wait a few days (since we left our message on a Friday night) Instead, he had his plumber come by on Saturday and fix it in just a few minutes. We were impressed with his responsiveness. P.P.S. Some other tips from our experience: Allow more time for Special Order items than the vendor's projection. We really like our vanity top and shower door but both arrived "late" and held us up. Recognize that "Online Exclusive", at least at Home Depot, means you must order it online yourself; they can't do it from the store. (We had to order our vanity and medicine cabinet directly) Be prepared for Plan B if something's not available. After going through endless tile samples, the one we finally selected was no longer available at Home Depot! Instead of starting over, I found it online and ordered it from Wayfair... crisis averted. Don't accept a salesperson's word if you feel they're wrong. I was first told that our Mustee shower door, in oil-rubbed bonze, was not available at Home Depot, even via Special Order. They said only the chrome version was available. I called the manufacturer and they told me otherwise and provided a number for the salesperson to call, if necessary. I persuaded a second salesperson to input the Special Order and it went through OK. Finally, research your selections carefully, especially if you're buying online. My wife liked our previous 3-door, 36" medicine cabinet because she could partly open the side doors and get a full view, like department store 3-way mirrors. The new NuTone cabinet was hinged differently, however, so only the inside of the side doors face you when you open them. (I'm going to glue mirror tiles inside the doors to try to recreate the effect) Finally, our new Kohler toilet is "comfort height"; my wife is shorter and she's not sure whether this is an improvement for her; since it was on display 8 feet in the air, we didn't think about it at the time!

It went very well. They were very responsive to all suggestions, and made suggestions to us.

Overall the work was done on time and within budget. We are happy with all the work done in our basement. However, the laminate flooring has some issues that still are not resolved. The first problem we noticed when they left was almost all the kitchen laminate was scratched where one of the workers dragged the refrigerator across the new laminate. When Henry came back to see the damage, he agreed to replace the kitchen laminate. We then noticed some small scratches in our dining room and living room floor. We showed Henry and his response was close to "we moved your furniture out of the way for you, and we didn't even have to do that so we did that for free and we won't replace these pieces." When he came and gave us the original estimate, we asked when we should move the furniture by, and he told us his men would do it, it was included in the price. So the conflicting information between when he wanted the sale and when the job was done was off-putting. However, he did do some additional work for us (installing a door closer, adjusting our shower temperature and moving an electrical outlet while the basement ceiling was open), and he gave us a small discount so we were happy when he left. However in the summer, after the floor had settled, we noticed a bubble in the laminate floor that needed to be fixed. After a couple of weeks of phone calls and e-mails, Henry agreed to come over and take a look. He never came. When I called him to see what happened, he told me he went to someone else's house by accident and he would come the next week. Finally he sent someone to fix the bubble. It was fixed, and shortly after another bubble appeared in the living room floor. We called to have someone fix it again, but Henry stopped responding to our phone calls. Shortly after that, we had an unrelated issue with a leak on the second floor and the first floor was repainted by a restoration company. Unfortunately, their workers scratched the laminate flooring in the kitchen when moving the refrigerator and dish washer. The restoration company offered to pay Henry's company to do the work to fix it, but Henry didn't return any of my calls, voice mails or e-mails. In the end, the restoration company did the work to replace the scratched pieces. I wish I could say they did as good of a job as Henry's men, but they didn't. We're now stuck with a living room floor that still has a bubble when the temperature is warm, and the kitchen flooring has gaps the seems aren't smooth. I can't help but feel this could have been avoided if he would have kept in contact with us and returned our calls.

I bought this contractors big deal offer which was $1499 for 40hrs of one man labor. Contractor stated the big deal offer was for basic handyman work and not for any type of remodeling work. That was not mentioned in the big deal offer. It actually stated it was for remodeling work. Even though the work I needed done would of amounted to less the 40hrs of labor, the contractor said it would cost an additional $1300 for for just labor to complete the job. With that being said, I contacted Angies List for a refund.

It was a perect job and a perfect experience for me. Don't be hesitant... call Henry!

Henry arrived promptly at 7PM on a Friday night for a half hour consult. An hour and a half later we were still talking. Henry helped us from step one to finish, he even spent several hours with us at Lowes picking our tile and backsplash. Henry has a gift for putting colors and textures together and his expertise saved my wife and I countless hours roaming the aisles of Lowes. Once we picked out all the materials scheduling was a breeze. Tony and crew showed up early Monday and went to work. The crew was very professional and they did everything in their power to stay out of our way. Demolition went smoothly and Tony and crew did a good job cleaning up. By day two the ceramic tile and backsplash was complete. We could not have happier with the results, it looked great. Day three the granite counter tops were installed and Tony and crew also installed a new faucet and garbage disposal. Day four all the trim and doors were installed and work started on the hardwood floor. By the end of the day the family room was done and we were again very pleased with the results. Henry came back on Friday to do some minor work and touch up some minor details. Overall our experience with Henry and his crews was very positive and we could not be happier with their work. It bears stating that Tony, Henry and Louis went above and beyond the scope of the work the was to be done. Examples are repairing a stain on our cabinet that was done by a water leak. Installing the new toilet for us and a bunch of shut off valves. Also they did some drywall patching. They also were great with our dog.

Henry is excellent to work with. He was prompt, responsive, and very flexible in meeting the needs of the job. When first meeting with Henry we were able to work out who was responsible for obtaining the necessary supplies for the job and outlining the time and cost estimate for the work. On the first day of the job, Henry and his crew were prompt and his crew worked very h****** the removal of the existing shower surround and began the plumbing connection and tub installation. Henry or the site manager were there throughout the day to check on the progress of the job. The second day involved the wrap-up of the job including the installation of the tub walls. I noticed the correction of some of the plumbing work (tub spout) after Henry had to correct his worker on the type of material used. I was notified of an accidental scratch in the wall for which Henry financially compensated. At the end of the job, I questioned the worker regarding the faucet handle which was sticking out of the estuchen plate rather far. When I mentioned it to the worker, his comment back to me was that is how it is. When Henry came for the final inspection, he worked to correct it as best as he could even though the worker did not seem interested in correcting. I realized later that a backing plate was supposed to be installed with the surround wall (supplied with faucet) to support the faucet to prevent the issue. I was disappointed in some of the measuring of the surround wall with the plumbing fixtures by Henry's worker. After the team left I noticed there was a bead of caulking on the right side of the tub spout but no where else. What had happened was--the hole for the tub spout plumbing was incorrectly measured leaving a small gap on the right side. No one notified me of this issue. I emailed Henry about it shortly after the job completion with a picture of the spout after the job but did not hear back. Shame on me for not calling him directly. I would consider this company for future work but would certainly scrutinize the work a lot more through the progress. Henry works to resolve any issues and wants to keep the customer satisfied. Some of his workers may need to be followed more closely for a better final product.

When I called for an estimate they came right out. Gave me the price for the labor and told me there is a 8 week wait. We gave them the go and they were here in 8 weeks to start the job. I was very impressed that it only took 6 days to comlete the job. My overall experience with Sure Fix Remodeling exceeded my expectations. I was impressed with the workers and how skilled they are. The tile work in the shower and bathroom floor is excellent!!! I am so pleased with it. The workers have an eye for detail and so do I. I highly recommend this contractor.

The job went well Henrys workers are top notch and very professional, but some of his sub-contractors are a little messy but Henry resolved any issues. Henry is truly a joy to work with.

This is the first time I used a contractor for major work in my home. I feel this inexperience created some of the problems and miscommunications that developed. The meeting with the owner went very well. We spent about 2 hours discussing what needed to be done. The work was to start on Oct. 8 and would take longer than a week. I recieved a call the morning of the 8th that they had to finish up the previous job and would not start until the next day.(I feel the call should have come the night before.) Two workmen arrived the next morning and began working on the flooring and trim in the bedrooms. That was done by early afternoon. The powder room then had all of the old stuff removed. The owner arrived and went over the powder room with the workers and a list of materials needed for the job was developed. One worker left to get the materials and the owner left. The worker still here completed the demolition and the second worker arrive with the materials. The plaster wall was repaired and all workers were gone around 5:30. The second day was completion of the plaster repair and installation of the tile floor. It went very quickly and when the worker left around 6 pm the floor was done and grouted. Henry(owner) came by again and helped with clean up of the powder room and porch area. The next day one worker arrive around 7:30 and installed the wainscoating and exhaust fan. He then primed the walls. The third day was two workers for part of the day. The vanity, valves, sink, faucet,and the toilet were done by the end of the day. Things moved so quickly that the tile floor did not get sealed. The fourth day(last day) was hanging the 3 doors, the kitchen faucet, the exhaust piping and some trim work. All of the work was completed in 4 days. The quality of the work done is good. The speed of the work caused the tile floor not to get sealed. I had a good powder room in 4 days. Two problems developed(not sealing the tile) and (finish coat painting of walls) I did not realize the tile I purchased and grout they purchased needed sealed. I feel the contractor/workers should have talked to me and made sure that it got done before everything was installed. I assumed that painting means primed and finish coats. The last item is the owner has not contacted me about my opinions of the job. I also admit that I have not complained to him about the problems. Why not complain. I will use him again and all of these items can be worked out at that time. The process was fast, quality of work was good and I learned a lot. Over all it was a good experience.

The bare room needed to be drywalled, a wall taken down, new walls built; A bar was constructed, ceramic tile was placed on the floor in the bar area and the wine room area, and closet. Stone work was done on the wall, and the front of the bar area, in addition to the wine room. Excellent job, electrical work done, hung three large lighted movie poster boxes, lights were installed behind a large stained glass window, cabinets were installed, backsplash glass-tiled, granite countertops behind bar and on bar, excellent painting (knocked down plaster) and all other painting, trim, installed new doorway, installed on the wall TV and all other wall decor. I could go on forever, these guys are amazing. They work until they are finished, no job is left undone; clean up afterwards, and put up with me....just kidding.

I had no problem with this contractor. We wanted the work done in the spring, however we just could not connect to get this job done.
