Description of Work: He showed up 2 1/2 hours late to come look at a plumbing and heating job we needed done. He gave me a rough idea of how much it would be orally, when I asked for an exact price of the labor he said he'd call us that night. He called about 5 days later and he said he couldn't give us an exact price, he's have to charge per the hour at $75/hr. He said it could be anywhere between 30-100 hours. That is JUST for the labor. He said the materials are separate.

Description of Work: Hal was fantastic. Very professional, curtious, gave us various options to solve our problems. He at first fixed our shower for a minimal amount of money. Then a totally different problem rose from a totally different part of the house, and he jumped on it right away. Adjusted his personal schedule gave us a couple of telephone numbers to get hold of him. We could not be happier. He does't deserve an "A", He deserves an "A plus, plus." I'll stop, he's great, problem solved!

Description of Work: We rented out our house to local people when we couldn't sell due to the economy, well they stopped paying rent and we had to go through the eviction process. we finally got the opportunity to travel 10 hours back to the house to see what was actually done to the home, we had gotten reports from serveral neighbors about what the "tenants" did. well true to word it was trashed. they took everything, light fixtures, appliances,water filters, garbage everywhere, new pipes to "improvements" that were made. Well when we turned on the water it was raining in the family room and shooting out of the wall in the bathroom. I joined angie's list to find a plumber with high ratings in the area, since we had been gone for awhile and wanted someone who knew what they were doing and wouldn't sell us stuff we didn't need. Mr. Serfass went above and beyond what i expected! He listened to our tale of woe, went straight to work to find out what the "tenants" did, traced the pipes to find where the problem was with the least amount of damage to the walls and ceilings. Got the water to work for us on the first visit so i could clean up a little, try cleaning without water/using the bathroom. He came back the next day and found where all the leaks were, capped everything off, replaced a few pipes, got the kitchen sink, and both bathrooms working for us. He was a calming influence on me, I was a wreck seeing what these "people" did to our house, for no reason just spite.I'm grateful to Mr. Serfass and Angie's List for making a very stressful situation a little more bearable for me and my children. Now I need him to change out a water heater and price out a water filtration system for us.Thank you, Mr. Serfass and other reviewers on Angie's List.

Description of Work: Hal did a lot of work in my house, and I had no problems. I renovated two bathrooms, a kitchen and created a laundry room out of a large closet. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Hao installed my furnace, did my duct work, he set up my air conditioning, and has done other various jobs a heating and air conditioning guy would do.
