Hal Serfass Plumbing & Heating

We originally spoke with him and he said he'd get back to us. Three weeks later he hadn't called. We called and made an appointment for December 8 at 8:30 in the morning. I waited the entire morning. He never showed and never called. As of today, December 30, he has not contacted us.

Hal was professional and courteous. He got to work right away and finished up quickly. Hal was generous enough to show me how my forced air heater worked, which I am grateful for as a new home owner. I also asked Hal for advice on a bathroom remodel, which he was happy to give me his expert opinion on. I will call Hal again for every plumbing need I have.

I called the week before labor day, approximately Aug. 26th. I was told he was not near a computer, could I call back after labor day. I called 3x's during the two weeks after labor and left messages. No one returned my calls. I next called RJ Groner Plumbing and arranged for service. The work was then completed satisfactorily.

I spent $700 or $800 with them and that included all the materials and the labor.

Great. He called to say when he would come, he came on time, did fine work, and charged reasonable prices.

Arrived when he said he would, did the work perfectly and quickly. Friendly and professional.

Took two trips to fix the leaky shower. First trip he did not have the right washer. Came back a week later when he got the washer and ended up charging me for time and travel twice. $30 each time. $275 later and shower still leaks. I wont use again. Acted like he was doing me a favor. I mentioned the Angies list discount he claimed to have on here. He said he already figured it in to bill. (He didnt know I had gotten his name from AL to start with.) Was'nt worth arguing over $12. My wallet just wanted him gone. I would not recommend at all.

My daughter had disconnected the old termostat a/c and she did not know how to connect the new stylish one which needed a "C" line wire installed/connected. We called the pro Mr Hal. He arrived within 10 minutes, he did the job and the price was great!

Hal was very responsible and competent and friendly. He was a little busy (it was the hottest part of summer and he had multiple emergency calls to attend to also), and it took a little longer than I initially expected to get the job done, but in fairness to him, he had to work with the water company to turn the water on and off, he had to come out to the townhome multiple times to check on things, to trouble-shoot, to install different valves and plumbing, and to improve the ventilation ductwork for the HVAC so it would cool and heat the home properly. He was practical in his approaches to solving issues, resourceful, he worked extremely well independently and was reliable and trustworthy. I am very pleased with the work he performed for me.

He was in and out in 30 minutes - very quick, efficient and all around great service.

Hal is very professional. I had previous dealings with another company that tried to get me to repalce the water pump a while back. It has been running for 10 years after that. This time it was only a broken wire. I decided to have the pump replaced

I haven't had any problems with Hal Serfass Plumbing & Heating. Everything was pretty good.He wasn't here very long. I think he was expensive just for doing the work and he was here less than half an hour. His quality was good and he did me a favor and he looked around to see if there was something else to be done. He was pretty honest to let me know that everything was fine and not like others who would say you need to fix this and fix that. I called him twice but the second time, I didn't need him because I ended up fixing it myself. He was pretty efficient as far as time because he would call me back and I didn't need to call him for 2-3 days.

We called in the morning when our water pump wasn't working. He called back promptly and came soon after. He worked quickly and efficiently? in our damp, chilly basement and fixed the problem. We would happily call him again.

the project went very well. he did all the roughing for a new shower,sink and toliet. after the etile,painting and finishing work was done he installed the fixtures.

Service was excellent. Arrival time was within an hour of calling him. He worked quickly with removing old tank and installing the new tank.

Hal was professional in every aspect. He kept us informed as to the charges and the times that he was going to be able to arrive or depart. If any changes were necessary we were notified immediately

Hal was on time and we were able to communicate by phone prior to his arrival. We were very pleased with the professional service Hal provided and we will be using him again on some additional work.

It was pretty good service. They were prompt and on schedule. They came when they said they were going to come. They stayed to make sure I was happy with their service.

Mr. Serfass was very prompt in getting back to us. He scheduled the appt. within a day or two. He looked at the water heater and tested and found the problem. It needed a lower thermostat, which he had on hand, and he replaced it quickly. While he had already changed out the lower, we had the upper thermostat changed at the same time. It made sense to just change them all since one had failed and the other was just as old. Mr. Serfass is a knowledgable professional, and we highly recommend him.

Hal is very professional, efficient and pleasant to have working for you. He came within 3 days of phone call to go over job and give estimate. Then scheduled date and time to start and came promptly and worked several days until finished; not interupting job to go to another like some workmen do.

It went very well overall. He came promptly. I needed him to come back when I was ready for more work and he came on time then as well. We've had no problems.

He came promptly as he promised. I could tell after just a couple of minutes that he knew what he was doing and I felt very comfortable. He installed the new faucet and all the fittings under the sink to the dishwasher, etc. He checked to make sure the shut off valvues were good and not leaking. He needed parts to replace the P trap and had everything he needed in the truck. Having a contractor who is prepared for evey eventuality is a plus as he did not have to "run out" and come back with what he needed. Finished the installation in a timely manner and his price was fair. He even disposed of the old sink for me at no charge.
