After contact three deck builders, we decided to go with keystone. Not only because their competitive price tag, but also because keystone is the only one who provided us a visual 3D file about what our deck would look like.(it turns out that the final project is very close to the 3d picture they provide). The whole project took them almost 6 days due to some weather condition. I am so impressed by their courtesy, punctuality, and wonderful craftsmanship. Thank you keystone, your hardworking brings me one of the best decks in my community, I would recommend keystone to all my friends!

The team at Keystone Custom Decks were great to work with. When we were getting quotes they listened to all our ideas and even worked with us to find solutions that would bring the project more in line with our budget. In the end, our porch turned out fantastic. The high quality of their workmanship is evident all over. We look forward to enjoy our porch for years to come.

I entertained the idea of building my own deck and I'm really glad that we didn't. Mahlon and his family team did such an amazing job that we would absolutely do it again if we had to. During the whole process of figuring out our deck design Mahlon came in with example decks to look at and also encouraged us to contribute our thoughts and ideas, which his team then incorporated into a full 3d model of the deck so that we could see what it would look like on our house, which really helped a lot with colors and features. We had to go through several iterations on the design and he was patient and prompt, getting back to us exactly when he said he would, which was usually the next day. The whole deck went up in about 3 days, with one half day later on to finish installing a privacy fence. The miter cuts are perfect everywhere, the screws are in perfectly straight lines (where needed, there are very few exposed) and the deck is extremely sturdy. During the whole installation the NY Keystone Decks team was extremely professional (they work hard!) and we felt very comfortable with them around family. They left the work site meticulous at the end of each day. After the work was completed they made sure things went fine with inspection and the whole deck is guaranteed for life - that is how much confidence they place in their work. We love the deck and everyone who sees the deck is impressed. I could go on and on - sometimes hiring work out is a nerve racking experience because you don't know what you're going to get. With this team it seems you get the best quality and service every time (our neighbors also used them and their experience is identical)!

We highly recommend Keystone Custom Decks! Mahlon met with us to make a plan and then within a few days he came back with our estimate. He was respectful and professional. We felt confident in hiring them, especially considering all of their great reviews. They worked a few days and then we had to go on vacation (that's the degree of trust we had!). Before we left we noticed we had a misunderstanding about the dimensions of the deck, and Mahlon was able to make the changes to make it what we wanted without question. My parents had a deck put in and said they had nothing but problems with getting the contractor to do what they wanted. Keystone truly wants to give you the deck you want and will do whatever they can to make sure you get it. All the workers were kind, respectful and hardworking. Mahlon even let my busy four year old help complete the railing. The quality is excellent and the end product is awesome. I almost wish they could build us another!

He was prompt, very professional and provided excellent information about deck materials. His price was competitive but we did choose another company that was closer to our home.

We contacted Keystone as well as 2 other deck companies in August of 2013 to start discussing the process of designing and building a deck on our home. We chose Keystone due to their location, relatively small company size, fair price compared to others, and effective communication. After a quick call requesting a meeting, Marv came to our home and reviewed our options as far as decking materials go. From there, we discussed what we envisioned our deck looking like. Marv took our preliminary thoughts along with measurements he took and developed a basic plan including an estimate and sent it to us in less than a week's time. From there we modified the original plan multiple times until we were comfortable moving forward. We waited out the winter and in the beginning of March, ordered the materials. Construction started in mid-March with the prompt delivery of materials. The next day construction began. From the digging of the footers to the installation of the last piece of railing, all of the guys that worked on our deck were very polite, hard-working and displayed excellent craftsmanship skills. I am very particular and this company exceeded my expectations every step of the way!

Everything was all set. I had the plans, the price, and an idea of when work was going to begin, when a cantankerous HOA board member decided to RE-VOTE on my deck because he didn't realize I wanted it 12'. He managed to convince the board that my 12' was too big, and it had to be 10'. We didn't want a 10' deck because our existing patio is bigger than that. So, through no fault of Keystone, we had to cancel the project. I am devastated. I was really looking forward to the quality I was expecting from Keystone. After all the plans he drew up and all the hard work he put in, Kevin was still the consummate professional and was totally understanding of our plight. He let us know that he's still there if we decide to fight the board's ruling. In the meantime, we'll keep our boring but large patio. I would definitely call Keystone again, though, if we needed a project, and I would recommend them to friends.

I could not be happier with Keystone Custom Decks and everyone of the half dozen or so of its employees that we had contact with. From my first contact with them last fall through to the completion of the project this week, everything was first rate, in my opinion. I am a stickler as far as doing things on time, as promised, and in getting high quality workmanship. Keystone exceeded my expectations in every regard. I do not believe it is likely that we could have had a better experience, and a better quality deck and balcony built by anyone else, regardless of price.

Very good experience from estimator's initial visit to final finished deck. Every response was very prompt and efficient with excellent suggestions and recommendations. Old cedar deck of about 935 sf with two sets of stairs and a curved edge was torn out. Deck was replaced with an updated design constructed of low maintenance decking. Lighting added also. We chose pricy decking and lots of lighting. Can't say enough good things about the fine quality workmanship and very pleasant crew members. This was a large, large project and the pricing was very good as we had 3 estimates. Keystone offered us the most detailed estimate, carefully reworked design, and thoughtful suggestions for the deck's improvement. Also, kept to our schedule of needing the job finished by Thanksgiving.

I cannot say enough good things about Keystone Custom Decks. From the day they came out to do my estimate until the last detail of the project was completed, they were terrific! I received several estimates for this job, but Keystone came recommended and their price was the best so I chose them. The estimate I received was spot on. There were no hidden fees or expenses that came up later. Very honest and upfront. The only delays encountered were due to weather. Otherwise, they showed up when they said they would, worked very hard ad build a beautiful enclosed porch. The crew was professional, polite, knowledgeable, patient with my questions and clearly took great pride in their work. You can make other calls and get other estimates on your jobs, but I doubt you will find anyone better to work with than this group!

The planning and construction of our three season room went very smooth. From the planning phase to the final day of construction we were very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and courtesy of the Keystone company, from Kevin in the office to Eldon the job foreman. The quality of workmanship performed was excellent and both family and friends have expressed how nice our new addition looks.

We could not be happier with keystone. They were very professional, punctual and clean. The attention to detail was very good. Dealing with them was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. I would recommend them to anyone!

Contacted Keystone Custom Decks in June of 2013 inquiring about a new deck and pergola...Michael Esh came to our house to take measurements and help us pick out what we wanted and right from the start, I felt they were company to use. Within a week, Marv Esh emailed a 3D picture of our new deck and pergola as well as an estimate. Keystone was not cheap but they were not unreasonably expensive either. We settled on a price with the project to begin sometime in September. True to their word, Marv emailed us at the end of August with a start date of September 5 with the project taking roughly 2 days to complete. Gideon and Rubin arrived on time on the morning of the 5th and worked straight through the day...they were hardworking and some of the most pleasant people I have ever met. The majority of the new deck was done on the first day; on the morning of the 6th they again arrived when they said they would and completed all but a few finishing touches which Gideon came back on Saturday morning to finish...we were amazed at the quality and workmanship of our new deck; it is beautiful and exactly what we wanted and once they got started with the project, they stayed until it was finished which is not the way most contractors work. We are VERY happy customers and would use Keystone again in a heartbeat! They pay attention to every detail and do quality work!

Keystone Custom Decks is a great company to work with. They provided a very detailed and reasonable quote and were able to complete the work within our time frame. And we couldn't be happier with the finished deck!

Marv at Keystone responded to my inquiry quickly. He came out to look at the deck and talk about my options. About a week later he sent a quote for a 14x24 timbertech deck, a "floorplan" of the deck and 3D images of what it would look like. They included thier ideas on a pergola that I was thinking about adding to the deck & showed that in the 3D drawings - which is helpful if you have a hard time picturing things. The 3D drawings would be particlularly useful if you are thinking about doing a very complicated deck layout. Their website and catalog were also very good and Marv responded to any questions that I had very quickly. The price was very competitive - and lower than one of the quotes I got from another company (I got 3 quotes in total). It was a very tough decision, but in the end we decided to go with another company since we knew someone that used them. If that hadn't been the case, I would not hesitate to use this company.

After much research, my family decided to have a deck put on. The folks at Keystone were punctual, responsive and very professional. They were very easy to work with while discussing options and pricing and we love the end result. Would definitely recommend.

We had been looking into getting a deck for quite some time. We had heard of Keystone from a friend, and contacted them, along with a few other companies. Michael came out and gave us a very thorough quote with renditions included. After meeting with him, we trusted him immediately. His knowledge and deck design helped us to feel comfortable with moving forward with Keystone. The job started, and Kevin was on site each day, answered all the questions we had, and finished the job in just about a week, exceeding our expectations.
