Description of Work: Had a furnace replaced with them about 4 years ago, and have had them doing the scheduled maintenance. Very reasonably priced, and when my furnace died, they were able to replace on the very following day at a fraction of the price quoted by other AC companies.

Description of Work: The service provided was air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. First technician arrived on time, second technician with equipment arrived 10 min later. Nothing was done until second tech arrived. My register vents were not removed, compressed air was pushed through the tiny vent slots to push dirt down, however the other vents were not covered and the pressure tip barely was in the vent. Apparently most of the cleaning was done at the trunk of system. Overheard techs mentioned they didn't have the proper tools. Total time at my home was 1 and 1/2 hr including the 10 min nothing was done. After cleaning dryer vent , dryer was not properly reconnected. When we reconnected dryer next day, noticed how dirty the dryer vent still was, lots of lint throughout. Felt I did not get proper air duct or dryer vent cleaning for cost of $550. I requested a partial reimbursement but was offered a re-cleaning which I declined.

Description of Work: The heater was not working, so we called this company. It turned out that the heater was working but that the door to the heater was not in correctly (probably due to myself after I put the filter in). The tech did not charge us anything. I did purchase a maintenance contract, which I needed anyway. The experience with this company was very good, and I would recommend them.

Description of Work: I didn't use this company, I called them to see about a repair to my heating/AC unit. When I called I was told it would be $99 for them to come out and that they only do free estimates for installation or replacement of a unit, not for repairs. Their company information on this site says they do free estimates, it doesn't specify for what kind of work. I don't know if thats the company's fault or Angieslist, but I think it shouldn't say free estimates if not all estimates are free for all kinds of work. They were very nice when I called, I'm just glad I asked about an estimate first and didn't just have them come out.

Description of Work: Contacted Obrien for an estimate on gas furnace replacement and new central air. The front office staff was extremely helpful in accommodating my schedule. Russ came out and did an excellent job explaining how the system would be installed. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I even advised him that I needed an estimate quickly and he was able to get back to me within 24 hours which, given the complexity of the installation, was quite impressive. In the end, I did not go with them for the installation for budgetary reasons. I think their estimate was in line and reasonable. However, given that this property was a rental property, we decided to hold off for the time being. I would definitely recommend Obrien and will contact them in the future should we decide to proceed with the installation. Their rating on Angies List is justified.

Description of Work: WE MOVED TO A NEW HOUSE THAT HAD A PAID SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH O'BRIEN THAT INCLUDES A MAINTENANCE VISIT FOR THE HEATER IN THE FALL AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IN THE SPRING. THE AGREEMENT WAS PAID UNTIL THE END OF THIS YEAR, SO RON CAME OUT TO PERFORM THE YEARLY MAINTENANCE ON OUR HEATER, WHICH CONSISTS OF CLEANING, OILING, INSPECTING AND PERFORMING CARBON MONOXIDE TEST. WE ALSO HAD BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH A NOISY PIPE THAT WAS PART OF THE HEATER. HE FIXED THIS BY BLEEDING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM AND NOW, NO MORE NOISY PIPE!

Description of Work: O'BRIEN CAME TO REPAIR MY AIR CONDITIONER WHICH WAS LEAKING. UPON THEIR ARRIVAL THEY FOUND A CLOGGED DRAIN LINE AND BAD CHECK VALVE. THE REPAIR MAN WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY REPAIR THE PROBLEM AND THOROUGHLY CHECK MY SYSTEM FOR ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS.
