I really have mixed feeling regarding my experience with him. John just did a great job on all the painting don't get me wrong but my initial contact with him was trying as he missed our appointment twice. I think by me grading his professionalism and his punctuality would be a little misleading due to my first experience with him.

John was scheduled for 7:15 on Sat morning. I had my sister there to help let him in the house and he never showed up or called to let me know he wasn't coming.

Called John, came over two days later, gave me a estimate and I asked when he could do the job. He came back two days later and started the job. Cut and installed the drywall. Came back several times to make sure spackling was drying properly, sanded and cleaned up. Went above and beyond what I thought a handyman should do. Excellent Job.

JOHN WAS VERY CORDIAL ON THE PHONE WHEN I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. I FAITHFULLY WAITED TWO WEEKS FOR HIM, AS HE ASKED. I CALLED TO CONFIRM HIS ARRIVAL 24 HRS PRIOR TO THE WORK DATE. HE FAILED TO SHOW UP. WHEN HE FAILED TO SHOW, I ATTEMPTED TO CALL HIM- AT 10AM DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS- AND HIS PHONE APPEARED TO BE TURNED OFF. IT WENT DIRECTLY TO VOICE MAIL. ALTHOUGH WORKING THE NIGHT BEFORE, HIS VOICE MAIL WAS DISABLED TOO. (This voice mail not available msg!!!). AS A RESULT, I WAS COMPLETELY DENIED AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET ANY UNDERSTANDING OF WHY HE WAS A NO SHOW. BOTTOM LINE: I WAITED TWO WEEKS FOR HIM AND RECEIVED NO COURTESY CALL, NO NOTHING. DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSION ABOUT WHAT THAT MAY SUGGEST ABOUT THIS GENTLEMAN.

Originally, the job was to drywall a ceiling and wall in our laundry room; however, during his inspection he said the studs in the ceiling frame had been hung incorrectly and wouldn't hold drywall. Instead, we agreed to use wood panels on the walls and composite panels on ceiling. The "one day" job became two after he only finished installing half the wall panel and none of the ceiling. When he came back, he was here about an hour before telling me the job "couldn't be done; the ceiling panels could not be installed." He quit the job, saying it was not possible to finish, essentially leaving us high and dry. Thereafter, however, we were able to finish the job ourselves. I do not know why he said it couldn't be done; obviously, it was possible. Either he was incompetent, or he had something else lined up that he gave priority. I assume it was the latter, though in which case he could have rescheduled. A very frustrating experience.

He is extremely knowledgeable and I have faith in him to do a good job.

We were extremely pleased with the work that he did. He was always reachable by phone, and he specified everything he was going to do for us in his estimate. We found that his estimate was amazingly reasonable (since another contractor quoted us almost $2000 for the same job). A few weeks before he started, he sent us a list of things that he needed for the job (e.g. gas pipes, sink traps), which we picked up at Home Depot before he arrived. Since we were on a tight budget, this saved us a lot of money, since he did not have to keep running out during the job to pick up something. He was always prompt, and he took exactly the amount of days that he specified in his estimate (about 4 days). He came on time in the morning, and one night he stayed until almost 7:00 to finish up the job. He always cleaned up after himself, and he kept his workspace very neat and tidy.

He was oblivious to the appointment I had scheduled with him. I called him when he didn't show up and he said he must not have written it down.

Easy to contact. Came to look at the job. Gave me a fair estimate. Set up dates for the job to be done. Completed the work in a timely manner and final cost was below estimate. Quality of the work was excellent.

He is such a nice man that I thought I could count on him. I never received the written estimate or a phone call. I'm really disappointed.

He did everything I ask and more than I ask. He told me that he would be able to finish my long list in about 3 days. I didn't think it was possible. He also did various other misc. items that he found himself without me having to ask. He was pleasant, intelligent, quiet and easy to work with. Cleaned up very well. $150 a day.

John arrived promptly, took great care in protecting our wooden floors, and limited the dust from the sanding. He was diligent and professional in his work. He cleaned up after each day and completed the job on time.

John did an excellent job. He was fast, punctual and made no mess. I called him on a Wednesday, he started on Friday and because the work had to dry, finished on Monday. His price was great. I could not have asked for better service. I plan to call him for all my handyman jobs.

We had a poor contractor who left several things unfinished including the gas turned off to the house. John came out that same evening and fixed all items we were aware of and a couple we weren't for no extra charge. He was prompt, friendly, available on very short notice, very reasonably priced, and we intend to use him for all handyman work on all our rental properties in the future.

John is great, prompt, clean, a nice guy to work with. He is very fair with his prices and available on short notice.
