John Walters

John is a craftsman. His workmanship is beautiful. He charges less than he is worth and does everything he can to minimize material costs without ever compromising on quality. He works alone to assure that all the work he does meets his very high standards.

The work was astonishingly inexpensive. The price was fantastic, he was timely, and he let us know ahead of time if he couldn't come. He realized there was still moisture in there while he was taking down the drywall so he let it continue drying for a week to ten days. Once things were dry, he came right back. I will be using him again soon.

I've used him several times. He does great work and has very reasonable prices. He is incredibly versatile when it comes to the type of projects he can do to one's home.

Everything did not go well since the company never called us back.

He is our handyman go-to guy. I've always been pleased with his work, and his price is reasonable.

I called John and he was not available since he was out of the state, and he walked me through on what to do over the phone since the air conditioner unit was iced up. He was very helpful and I would use him again in the future.

Mr. Walters came by the same day I called to replace a broken kitchen faucet. He removed the old faucet (quite an effort since all the nuts were rusted shut) went to purchase new connector hoses and installed the new faucet.

John is a great guy and does good work when he arrives, but he does have a real problem with not showing up or being late, even if you confirm.

CUSTOMER BEWARE: I got John Walters from Angie's List. He came out to do an estimate on our house. We wanted to have two ceiling fans installed, four doors replaced, a tile in the bathroom re-caulked and sealed, and two closet bi-fold doors replaced in our bedroom. He gave us a quote that my husband and I were happy with, so we scheduled him to start work on Nov. 1st at 8:30am. He never showed up. I read the reviews on him on Angie's List of other customers of his where he never showed, but didn't think that would happen to me and my husband. John is a very pleasant man and seems very knowledgeable. He never called or e-mailed me to say why he did not show. I have called him several times since, from different phone numbers, and he still doesn't answer his phone. I do not plan on ever using him again for handyman services, but I just wanted to know why he never showed up for the job?!

He made the room perfect for my grandson. I thought that he was timely and very trustworthy, I was able to leave him in the house. He seemed like a nice character. He seemed in his world and to thrive doing what he was doing.

Initially when I called him for the estimate he said he would show up on a certain day at a certain time. I called him when he didn't show up and he said that he didn't remember the meeting-he said my name sounded familiar but he had no recollection of the meeting. We arranged another time for him to come and he did show up for the second meeting. The work he did was very good. He did a thorough job and would definitely use him again.

I called John and advised him of the work that needed to be done and made appointment for him to come out. He did not show so I called him again. This time he informed me that he would call me back. He did call me back as promised and made other appointment to come out. Again, I waited and he did not show. In my interactions, he was very personable, pleasant and easy to talk to, but he simply did not show. I have not heard from him since. I will be finding another company to use for this job.

We are very happy with the work that John performed for us. We will definitely use him again!

He did a wonderful job. He was not extremely expensive. He is very responsive. He has come in the evening before because his days are so busy. He works with my schedule.

I thought that he was very responsive and very professional in his work. He treated me very professionally and was very respectful towards my home.

He did an excellent job! He was here when he said he would be here. His estimate was far below other companies. He didn't ask for any money until the second day he was here. He was here a total of 14 hours, and his price was unbelievable. He worked all the way through and cleaned up really well. He's the best I've ever worked with.

John was very professional and returned my call within 24 hours. He gave me a time that he would come to give me an estimate the next evening and he came right on time. He looked at the work that needed to be done, gave me several options, explained each possible choice and gave me an estimate. We agreed on a time for him to come and complete the job (a few days later). On the agreed date he showed up right on time. He finished the job in one day and did an excellent job for a very reasonable price.

I called him and he never called me back. I called him again and he said he would be here this morning at 8:00am and he has not arrived and it has been over an hour. He did not call either. I did get his info from Angie's List and I just wanted everyone to know his unresponsiveness.

It took him three days to respond to my message and I had hired someone else in the mean time. Once he came he was excellent.

He was very professional friendly and innovative. He was quick, honest and extremely economical.

John answered the phone the first time I called. He made an appointment for two days later and was here at the appointed time. He told me what he would charge just to come out and look at the job. When he came to my house, he looked at the work and said he could do it the next day and did not charge me for the visit. He gave me a time when he would be here and said if no one was home, he would do the job and send me a bill. The work was done as described in the time stated. He was very pleasant and professional. He cleaned up the mess and left a receipt. We discussed a painting job to be done in the coming Spring. I would not hesitate to call John Walters again. He does very good work and is reliable.

Similar to another post, I met with John about performing some repair work on a rental property. We agreed on the price, date and time. John did not show up or call. I called his cell phone several times with no answer. I finally contacted him about 4 days later, and he apologized, stating he had some family matters that interfered with his work. If you met John, he is a very nice person, and, I wanted to work with the guy so I rescheduled the work for a Saturday morning. Again, No call, No show. Before we scheduled the call, he said he was busy and he could squeeze my job on Saturday morning that week, My biggest problem with John is he will not return your calls. I really did not want to post this entry. However, he needs to become more professional if he cannot make an appointment. Not to return peoples calls is unacceptable.

Great! He came over to do the items and completed them in about 2 hours.

I tried 3 individuals to do the work, but he was the only one that thought he could do the work. I had a hard time getting a hold of John when we were trying to set up an appointment to come to my house. He said that he did not have my phone number or address and was unable to contact me again. When I called him back, we finally set up an appointment to have him come do the work, but I had to wait almost 2 months. He was supposed to show up today, after I have already called to confirm. He said he would call if something came up, but today it is 2 hours past our appointment and he has not shown up or called.

He did a good job and I was impressed with the quality of the work. He was on time and really made sure to clean up well after himself. I would highly recommend him to other people.
