It went so well that he is coming back to door more work on more cabinets, repair the wood inserts in my refrigerator, and repair a hinge on a Roche Bubois sideboard. I both called and e-mailed Woodwise and finally when the motor arrived I called David Janes. Was looking at a 1-2 week wait but he had a cancellation and he came out the day after I called. He arrived on time and was a steady and neat worker. It took less than an hour for placement of new motor,and section of sofa is operable once again. The leg had been broken by carpet installers and was not a warranty issue, however I called Crate and Barrel where I had purchased the desk for a repair recommendation and they recommended David as the local repair person that they like to use. He was on time, very friendly and courteous, and as others stated definitely exceeded my expectations in the repair. David took his time, clearly showed a lot of attention to detail in repairing the leg and touching up the paint, and gave me a thorough explanation of what he had done when he was finished. I had a dining room chair that was over 50 years old and needed repair as the seatback had separated at the top. David did the most amazing job I have ever seen with his repair. David did the repairs to a mango hard wood table. i had dropped something on the table causing a gouge to the surface. There were also two areas that the dog scratched and a more minor chip. When David finished it was as if nothing happened. The table looks as good as it did the day I bought it. He also did a prior repair with the same result.
