Excellent. Crew was at my house within an hour of my call. Within 5 hours of waking up to no hot water they had a new water heater installed along with an emergency cutoff valve I requested and had cleaned up all the leaked water.

I didn't have any problem with the refrigerator. They're very nice, very polite, informative and gave us instructions on everything.

had to pay their $100.00 a year for some plan -I thought OK did it - Wife calls for another issue a month later and the guy sells her the SAME plan - In the mean time they slapped their company stickers on myAC/ heater and hot water heater. I use Sila (always have) . Flash forward a year and a half I get a call from them telling me they need to come out to service my heaters???? Run from these guys!

We would not recommend that anyone ever ask Mattioni for a quotation. The quote was slow to be delivered and when it was, it was unimaginative and they did not even include everything that we had specifically asked for. We were very disappointed with the effort that they put into the entire process. The other quotations that we received were much more creative and met all of the specifications that we had outlined - and none of them charged anything for the quotation.

They were prompt, courteous and very efficient. Rob did a great job in explaining issues and how to resolve them.

After reading through some of the prior reviews I have seen kind of a mixed bag of responses, which honestly surprises me because every time I have used Mattioni for plumbing and heating issues (I had them replace my heat pump system 3 years ago as well) they have been nothing short of extraordinary! To focus on today's job, my technician Paul M, arrived (at exactly 3:00, which was the beginning of the time window that the dispatcher quoted me in the morning, which was fantastic) to fix a leak that I had found the night before in my basement that had soaked my drop-ceiling tile. I had tried to find the leak myself last night when I discovered the moisture on the tile, but could not find any dripping water although I did see drain pipes within a 2 foot area that showed no signs of dripping, and there was nothing directly above the spot where the leak soaked the tile, which had me baffled. When Paul came over he was able to tell from the piping where my powder room fixtures were in proximity to the leak, which was a good two feet to the left, and immediately hit on the root cause of the problem being the ice maker in my kitchen refrigerator upstairs, which I was amazed by as the subfloor panels themselves did not appear to be wet (the location of the moisture was at the very corner of my basement by the dividing wall between my townhouse and my adjoining neighbor so the wooden panels did not appear to be damp, but there was a very slight gap in between where the wood ended and the concrete wall began. Paul went upstairs and pulled out the refrigerator and immediately saw moisture in the very back corner of the floor, which I did not even notice on first sight until he pointed it out. He then inspected the plastic tubing line that ran into the refrigerator for the ice machine (that I had never used in the 5 years I have owned the house) and was able to show me a pin-sized hole that was actively misting water out of it that happened to be situated directly above the gap in the floor that I mentioned earlier. Given how hard this leak was to find when I was even staring right at it is a huge credit to his expertise! My automatic assumption was that it had to be one of the pipes in the area of the basement, and I never even considered that a fixture upstairs could have been causing this, especially given the lack of moisture on the wooden floor boards! I am completely satisfied with my experience today from all aspects, and I find it interesting when I read some of the reviews posted here by others that mention how expensive their service was, which maybe Mattioni's is on the pricier side, but in my opinion you get what you pay for and I am happy with the price when it means that Mattioni employs professional and courteous technicians like Paul who you are comfortable with bringing into your home, and are able to properly identify and fix a problem the first time they come out! As I said previously, my experiences with Mattioni have always been fantastic, and I definitely plan on hiring them again when needed.

They told me I needed a new water purifying tank because the one I had was contaminated with silt. It turns out that it was not silt but was Georgia marble which is what the tank requires to filter the water. They charged me $2,500 for a tank that I did not need. I'm sure they've done this practice over and over again with homeowners. I would never use them again.

Very professional and personable technician. He wore shoe covers to minimize dirt being tracked into the house. His work was as follows: Replaced a broken 15+ year old shut-off valve for the bathroom toilet, chased down the valve for an outdoor faucet, and provided tips on how to make a tub faucet and valve look like new instead of replacing since they worked fine already. All work done in less than 2 hours.

Heating system down - supposedly condo crew cleared outdoor vent accesses. Condo crew failed to perform service. Mattioni performed annual check and needed to get shovel from their truck and go out to vent area to clear the problem area. Mattioni gentlemen could not have been nicer.

It went very well. We are happy. We are sorry that we did not hire the professionals at Mattioni sooner. They were experts and told us the truth. The other plumbers covered up the issues instead of fixing them. We wasted a great deal of money.

They were absolutely great. They were able to respond the same day. The technician was really knowledgeable about hot water heating and plumbing in general. He knew exactly what to do and got everything up and running and presented a high level of confidence. He was also just a truly professional and classy person. Nothing but great things to say. Truly outstanding service.

A contractor from another company had damaged a pipe that attached to the main supply line for my house and was not able to repair it He informed me that I would need a plumber to do the work. This happened at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and we were having a party at our house at 7pm, and we had no water supply. When I called Mattioni I was in a complete crisis. The gentleman that took my call was very understanding and he had a technician at my door within 25 minutes. They completed the work and left my house 15 min before my guests started arriving. They saved my entire weekend!!!! I would absolutely call them again and highly recommend them!

I contacted Mattioni Plumbing (Downingtown, PA) to secure estimates for an older home I just purchased that required a number of plumbing and heating fixes/upgrades (most of it pretty basic work like swapping out toilets and faucets). During my initial call, the phone rep indicated there would be a $60 charge for a plumber to visit my home and provide an estimate, which I reluctantly accepted really only because the previous home owner had already had service performed by this company and the company had service history for the property. During that initial call, I itemized for her all of the work I anticipated would be required. SO, imagine my surprise the day after the visit when Rob W (the person who had visited my house) called me to tell me that he 'forgot' to tell me that there would be another $250 FEE for him to provide me with my estimate. When I challenged him about the $60 fee he already charged me for the estimate, his response was that it was 'just for him to come to my house.' He also went on to tell me that he actually 'spent too much time at my house' as it was for the $60. Needless to say, I declined to pursue business with a company that would condone such a deceptive business practice. While the time I wasted engaging with this company will never be recouped, the least they could do is refund the $60 for the estimate they never provided!

Excellently - John M was the definition of professional, start to finish. My lower element went out on my 26 year old tank. I tried to get the old one out and realized I didn't want to deal with it. It had that feeling of something that would end in blood and swearing. I called Mattioni's around 3:10 on the Tuesday before Christmas and by 3:55 John arrived. After putting on shoe covers we went to the basement to have a look. He quickly convinced me that, aside from possibly not being able to get the old element out, there was no warranty on the new one since the system was so old. I quickly came to my senses and asked if he could put in a new system, like now. He said sure, went out to the truck and got his gear. First thing he did was put a runner down from the front door, down the steps and into the laundry room. (Ask me about the previous contractor who was drilling through concrete in my basement for over 1/2 hour and didn't bother the put a drop cloth down, close the door OR use a vacuum to suck up the dust). John called the shop and had a new heater delivered. They VERY carefully dollied it down the steps and navigated the rather tight quarters to get it in the same room, then VERY carefully carted off the old one. He put in a new shutoff valve, expertly soldered in the new tank and hooked it up. All in under about two hours. When my wife and daughter got home about an hour later, they, holding their breath asked how it was going. I was thrilled to tell them it was done. No complications, no mess, no hassles.

Doug W. was punctual. We appreciated his lucid explanations and his clear expertise, He gave us a reasonable appraisal of work to be done. He worked efficiently and cheerfully.

Top notch service from start to finish. Good price, installed new humidifier quickly and efficiently. They could not have been nicer. We will DEFINITELY hire them again.

They were pretty good. Everything was good, but they are expensive. They are responsive. I'd give them a B because of the price.
