Holencik Roofing

The men came out and cleaned out our gutters. However, a few weeks later we noticed that the gutters were clogged. We went up on a ladder and checked to see what was wrong. They had placed a stiff sponge-like wedge in the top of the gutter and seeds gathered in it and began to grow which blocked the water flow. My husband contacted them and they cam back out to address the problem. We kept the sponge-like wedge to show them and explained that it had blocked our gutters. We were very disappointed with this company and will not use them again.

Their price is fair. They got back to me quickly. When I noticed I had the leak I put up with if for a little while, but as soon as the snow cleared off the house they came right away. It didn't take them very long. They were polite. They cleaned up. I would recommend them to anyone. If I had a problem again I would give them a call.

Did not care for the materials proposed. Rear EPDM roof did not need to be replaced, just re-edged. They proposed to strip it off and shingle it. The repair proposed for the dormers was uncertain. For the front roof, vinyl was quoted as they indicated they don't do EPDM. Seemed competent. Job was given to bid competitor Paul Wright instead.

Came as scheduled. Cleared roof of snow buildup. Was told I would receive bill in mail. Received bill for services - bill seemed extremely high for work done.

He came out for the Big Deal and scooped out what was in the gutters and put it in the yard. He also put a sign of his company in my yard, without asking my permission.

He put in the custom flashing which was great but I also has a leaky roof. And when came out they replaced the shingles wherever else but he did not fix the leak whatsoever. Actually the time he came by there was very heavy rain because I had to reach the roof and replaced a bunch of Sheetrock after he fixed the roof and the gutters and then the next heavy rain again it happened. So now I have to replace all my Sheetrock again and I have to get my insurance company involved because he did a lot more damage. So now I have somebody else coming out and replacing the roof correctly and he has got a little bit more detailed than expensive and this guy is great and amazing.

They were really good. They were true to their estimate, professional and cost effective. They were clean and when they left I could not tell that they had been there. I will use them again.

Estimating process went well. Price was middle to high compared to other contractors. Scheduling was months out because of Hurricane Sandy. We had an active leak in a bedroom that despite patching was still leaking so they moved us up to April from the original date of June. New skylights did not fit so they needed interior work, scratched gutters and some exterior damage that they repaired...eventually.

Purchased a deal with them, I called a week later , I was told to wait to someone to contact me since it had been too soon, waited almost a month or longer. I contacted them again , they were quick to realize that I bought the deal a long time ago and sent a crew over. They came on time. did most of the work but I could not remember why they could not clean all the gutters. They seem nice and pleasent. I wanted information on some more roofing work. Based on my experience I decided to go with a different company since they seem more friendly and gave me better advice (seem to look out for my pockets) not that the advice given by this company was wrong, it wasn't the cheapest and the other company game me choices, warning me of all the possible outcomes. This was a good company but due to a couple of issues I did the cleaning but decided to do more work with another company.

I had a really good experience with them. They were prompt and very professional. they did a good job of unclogging the gutters.

There were no surprises at all with my roof work. At every stage from the estimate to completion Holencik was completely forthcoming about everything. From the dates they would contact me, they're timely responses to emails and phone calls, pricing, procuring the necessary permit, the cleanup, to the final repair work - I cannot find one thing to complain about. The guys that did the work were professional, courteous and worked non-stop. I had them do some additional relocating of vents which they did exactly as I wanted. Also, days after the work was completed they must have discovered that they overcharged me and they returned a check to me for $120 or so. I would have never noticed this error, in fact I'm still not sure why they refunded me any $ (perhaps they simply added wrong?), but whatever, the point is that this shows a great deal of honesty and integrity which is just not that common these days. Needless to say, I would hire this company again in a heartbeat and I would recommend them to anyone in need of roof work.

. Very efficient, cleaned up all mess before leaving, and all members of the work team were very pleasant. They explained everything they were doing including checking for rotten wood. Also checked my roof on request and I plan to use them for that replacement next year. I had had a couple other contractors in the past year quote the job and they came across poorly by criticizing the competition. There were no return calls and I had to call them after a couple weeks to remind them I needed an estimate. Holencik was very clear with scheduling, even accommodating a change due to our neighborhood garage sale. They project a positive attitude and confidence in the quality of their work. They really did a great job and as a real estate appraiser I am used to looking for quality in construction.

The work was done in a timely manner. The work the men did was very good. The men had to remove the old gutter and replaced the wood that was behind the gutter. The men has to avoid all the bees that were in the wood. The installation of the new gutters went very well. And, the gutter look great.

Mr. Jesse responded quickly and gave me a quote. Then set up a date to do the repairs. Two gentlemen came and took care of the repairs.

We are installing a fan in our 2nd floor bathroom, but didn't feel comfortable putting a hole in the roof ourselves. We called 3 roofing companies, and bids came in at $420, $385 and $200. Holencik's bid was right in the middle, they were friendliest on the phone, and had the highest review on Angie's list. The $200 bid was tempting, but I figured after the job was done I'd find a bunch of undisclosed fees. The guys from Holencik were able to come out the same week I called on the best day for me. They showed up on time and finished the job quickly. The total came out 10% less then estimated due to discounts. While out I had them give me an estimate to install some flashing on my porch roof. The estimate was much lower then I was expecting. They gave me a few different options and said it probably doesn't need to be done. What's there now, while done incorrectly, isn't likely to cause any problems. I'll probably have it done anyway, but now I feel better about waiting a bit longer.

It went well. I paid for an extra charge because they found one particular gutter that is needed to be redone.

My call was answered and an appointment scheduled for someone to look at the problem. Jesse came at the appointed time and diagnosed the problem as a "flashing" issue where rain was being swept under the flashing and leaking down the wall inside the porch. He spent extra time to climb up on the roof and check the problem and also took a color sample to match the flashing color precisely which I appreciated. The price was reasonable and actually slightly less than another estimate I had gotten. The workers arrived at the appointed time actually earlier than planned and completed the work efficiently without disruption and cleaned the worksite afterwards. The windows above the porch needed additional cost that was not anticipated in the original estimate but the workers informed me for approval prior to completion. The only negative comment I have is that the finish work on the caulking could have been a bit neater. Otherwise I have had no leaks since and this was the wettest summed ever in the Valley.

The end result is still up in the air. Due to the nature of my issue, it will be hard to tell if the problem is solved before we get some snow. As they say, all is well that ends well. However, I did have some issues with the provided service even if my problem was solved. I had a hard time contacting the guy who actually provided the service. He left me a message saying when he planned on coming. I wasn't able to be home at that time, so I returned his phone call and left a message, but I never heard back. He ended up coming when I wasn't home so I didn't have the chance to fully explain the issue I was having. I was able to finally talk to him after he provided the service and he seemed to think just cleaning the gutters was the issue. I'm not convinced, but until it snows it'll be hard to know one way of the other. I intend to update this rating once winter hits.

Holencik Roofing have to come back and redo a certain portion. The job isn't quite done yet. He was very nice. So far, the way he's handled anything that was a complaint in any way, I cannot complain about them. He was very, very nice. I would certainly have them back to do other work. They clean up nicely and don't let anything lay around. It's been awhile since they've been out, but it's been raining, so they couldn't do anything. I'm not upset in any way, because I know their dilemma. The cost is okay, as long as it's done right. He was very polite.

The person who performed the estimate for the work was nice and professional when we discussed the job. I had estimates from other roofing companies to replace / alter gutters to better drain water away from my property. Others companies wanted to reuse old gutters and their estimates came up higher than Holencik who quoted new gutters. Installer showed up on time after needing to reschedule the first installation appointment due to bad weather. We discussed the work that was to be done and they got to it. Work was performed quickly and professionally. Have and will continue to recommend to friends in the area.

I purchased a big deal from them and I am not sure about their service, as there was a misunderstanding. I had used them and they did my roof but there was a misunderstanding. I think about when they first did the repair, I had them come back and do another repair, but the guy missed a place so I just had to hire somebody to do a place where he missed. It was kind of like iffy, I knew where the problem was and he fixed that problem in the corner but he did not look over the whole roof. So, what I did not know was that I had another leak. I would still use him again because I have used him for my entire house, I paid $8000 to get my roof done, and when I had a problem they came out again. It was just this one particular person, I think his name is Jesse. He was real nice and real friendly, but there was a miscommunication. I had some rotting places because there was a leak there. I thought he was going to fix that and instead he charged me like $369 dollars to fix this one little place and then I had to pay another $100 to get another place fixed on the roof, that he missed. Like I said, I might be miscommunication with that, like I did not say look over the whole roof because I did not think he was going to do what he did. Just to patch a little place on the roof should not have been close to $400, because somebody else charged me $100. I think that they are good company, but I would be much more specific with them in the future. I paid the big deal and then I paid that amount I mentioned earlier. They came out right away. Because of my roof, I still think that they are a great company. In the future, I would hire them for a roof but I would not hire them to patch.

I did have one leak and they came back and fixed it. They were fine when they were putting on the roof. I knew that I had to have a new gutter, but I did not know my roof leaked. So I had a new gutter put on and then the roof, which should have been the other way around, but I did not know at the time. So, they had to work with that and I think they were excellent.

Due to weather, we had to reschedule twice- Holencik was great about contacting me first thing in the morning to notify me that they wouyld not be able to come out due to the weather with a new, proposed time on the spot. I appreciated that. They finally were able to come out on a nice day and did a very nice job. Only complaint is that I was provided a price on the phone for the cost of the gutter clean, which was increased by 100.00 the day they arrived because we had gutter protection, which is apparently more expensive to the clean. I wished they would have asked for that information when I first inquired so that I had a more established quote for the cost of the gutter clean from the beginning, but overal, job well done so I can deal with that litlle hiccup.

He came when I was not here. I would assume that he did a very good job. I have not had any problems, like overflow or anything. Before he came here, I had pine trees that were taller than the roof, so I would imagine there was a lot of debris in there. The trees were all cut down. I would use him again.

My husband then called them back and they told him that he is on the schedule to be done 7/19/13. The man came out early before schedule to beat the heat. He came to the door when he arrived and when the job was finished. A week later I received a bill minus the discount I get with Angie's member. We were very pleased. The worker was very pleasant.
