They were very professional

Once they arrived they were fine,but they did not behave professionally about their delay, 5 hours late is terrible. Also they had called at 11am saying we'll be there soon we are just coming through the Lincoln Tunnel, then 5 or 6 hours laterthey arrive!

My experience with them was troubled. They came in an hour late and missed the first day when they were supposed to and then when arrived the next day, they came in an hour late again and apparently, the trust was broken down. They used a van instead of a truck. On top of all, there was one experienced mover and four kids and one of the kids removed the legs of a couch and I am waiting to hear from them about coming back and fix that and I have not had a call. I will probably call him next week. I would not give them very good ratings.

It was a tricky job that was done well with expertise. He is an excellent mover that knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

They knew what they were doing and did it. Very smooth and quick.

Had a dark wood queen bed frame that they had to disassemble and then reassemble. Sometime during the move, the wood on the bed frame was deeply scratched. In an attempt to disguise the scratch, the movers placed some kind of wood colored putty or coloring on and in the scratch. I didn't notice it until I went to vacuum there a few days later. Although I understand things happen during a move, the fact that they never told me about it and that they hid it from me is an issue. They also broke a lamp of which I was aware.

The Gentleman Mover did an excellent job moving my family from one house to another. We have little kids, so the move was made even more stressful. The movers were punctual, professional, polite and dealt well with our children. We have some antiques, so we were worried about their getting scratched or nicked. They were very careful with everything and they transported all of our furniture and household items without incident in the same day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.

They were very professional. We scheduled a day/time and they arrived a few minutes early. The move went well. They were carefull with the equipment and managed to get it out of my neighbor's basement without bumping any walls - a feat, since the space was tight. We got the equipment to my house and they did a good job negotiating a tight corner up the stairs. I was pleased with their work.

I had previously used this company on a move from Chestnut Hill to Center City in 2006. The marble table needed TLC and since they handled it well the last time I called them again - after one of the Center City based moving companies seemed unsure of how best to package it and actually referred me elsewhere. The company owner came out prior to the move to review what would be moved and provide an estimate. On move day, the main crew arrived a little later than expected but got right to work loading the first truck (they opted for 2 smaller trucks which could be backed into my alley parking spot instead of 1 large one which would block traffic). The owner came later to personally oversee and assist with the heavy marble slab table top and finish loading the 2nd truck. One of the crew members remembered moving the table into the house the last time - nice to see some good employee retention. The crew members were polite and friendly and even got along well with our puppy (11 mo old black lab). They worked efficiently and completed the job on time (just before one of our winter storms hit!). Seemed like it took only as much time as it needed - wasn't dragged out. Nothing was damaged and they took particular care to get the table set up and centered properly. Gentleman Mover is based in Conshohocken so it can be more expensive than a CC firm due to additional travel time (unless you're heading to or from the western suburbs I suppose). The hourly rate was more or less in line with other firms (within $5/hr). The final cost was in line with the estimate - no suprises. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again myself.

These guys are professional and efficient. They took the time to put shrink wrap on light colored furniture and handled fragile items with care. I will be recommending them to anyone I find who needs a mover.
