Everything is absolutely great! The basement was horrible previously and now is a place to be proud of. I might even go down there now! Lol Bathroom flooring has also made a big improvement to overall look of home. Bob was very helpful, pleasant and efficient and will definitely hire them for any future projects needed.

Robert is a multi-faceted individual. He did our interior painting and fixed our ceiling down in our base that was destroyed by water. Also fixed the ceramic tile in my kitchen that was damaged. His rates are reasonable and he does a wonderful job. I would definitely hire him again.

We needed our free-standing shower replaced. This included replacement of some tile outside the shower, and cosmetic repair of part of a wall in our bedroom. Big bathroom contractors like Luxury Bath told us we would have to get separate contractors for each of those projects. Bob took care of everything. In addition, it turned out that our shower was not a standard size and required a custom design. Bob handled this as well. Due to this, the project lasted longer than initially expected as the shower glass had to be specially ordered. However, we now have a rain-drop glass shower with rain shower head and hand-held sprayer that blends in with our existing master bath. Bob's tile work is beautiful. We got the shelf in the shower we wanted as well as our choice of tile and design (Bob met me at a tile store of my choosing to pick out the tiles for the entire project). Importantly, Bob kept within the budget agreed upon. He consulted with us throughout the project so we were always aware of where things stood and understood when the project was delayed.

Awful, after taking out my shower and toilet, they started to tile one wall. When I pointed out that the tiles were not even he walked off the job. Leaving me with a bathroom that can't be used. He was paid half up front and now he is gone.

Excellent service and workmanship. Ceiling tile replace did not go exactly as planned, but Bob went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done right.

Repairs were poorly done. He made an attempt to make things better. All repairs failed within a few weeks. Basement ceiling is sagging and poorly finished. Of course he was paid the day he finished. After several calls he came back and agreed to fix the drywall and refund $650. towards having someone else redo the basement ceiling. He never returned or refunded any money. Also, $225. in brass valves went missing from the job site. Bob and his employee were the only ones with access to the property. Very bad and disappointing experience.

Lack of communication and expectations. In the end the room is functional but doesn’t look overly professional. Holes are still in the wall where contractor was hunting for the stud.

Bob and his team did a good job on the project. They remodeled a kitchen, bathroom and replaced carpet throughout the house and painted. Good prices.

Fabulous. Robert (Bob) was a perfectionist. He did a great job.

During the framing in of the bathroom, we wanted to change the layout a bit, and Bob gave us a good alternative. Our bathroom turned out beautiful!

Robert was great to communicate with! Him and the other man who worked with him, Mike, were wonderful and answered all the questions my fiancé and I had! I am so thrilled with the job that I have asked Robert to come back for another project next weekend! I emailed many contractors on Angie’s list prior to Robert and I believe that due to the smaller size of the job, many contractors were not willing to work with us. Robert is willing to work with you no matter how big or small the job and he truly cares if you’re happy. I think I’ve found our contractor for all our projects we need done! Thank you!!!

We hired Bob to repair a bathroom floor that had been damaged due to a leaky toilet. Bob’s price quote was in writing and very fair. After the repair, I put down floor tile and Bob came back and installed the toilet for us. Bob and Laura are a pleasure to work with.

We hired Bob based on the many positive reviews, not thinking about the fact that they are not very recent. He seemed really good to work with and things were progressing well on our project, but when we went to inspect the final work, we were surprised and disappointed at the poor quality of staining and finishing - it seemed like he was rushing and made careless mistakes, which can't easily be corrected without a complete redo. Here is the email we sent upon seeing the finished work: "I'm sorry to have to send an email message like this, but I feel I have to be honest. We were excited about having our floors renewed as the renovation of our property progresses, and it seemed as though things were going well during our progress check-ins, but we were really surprised and disappointed with the poor quality of the finishing workmanship when we went over to review the finished work yesterday. I've attached a few pictures to give you some idea of what we saw, although they don't quite tell the full story. Here are some of our key concerns: • Stain is very blotchy throughout and in several areas, it appears as though it was never wiped up after being applied (showing streaks and wipe marks) • A few areas received no stain at all, such as under/around the radiators creating an uneven color pattern from the previous floor color and especially at the front door. • Areas where gaps were to have been filled have filler over the entire area, covering the grain of the planks, which takes on a completely different look when stained and finished. • Ridges from uneven sanding can be seen in several areas of the floor. • Water-based polyurethane was used instead of the oil-based finish we specifically discussed, and the finish of the floor is very rough. We have had hardwood floors refinished in other homes and understand that original, old floors like this can’t be made to look new, but the way the floors look now is just not acceptable." Bob did stop by the house at a time when we were not there and then indicated everything looked fine to him - no offer to discuss or address our dissatisfaction. This was back in March and I really didn't want to write this review because he's a nice guy, but it's been weighing on me that I need to be honest and let other potential customers know about this job. Everyone has their bad days, but we were mostly disappointed in Bob's response to our complaint.

Horrible! He took two days two sand and the flooring was two different colors and spots left and one closet not done. Do not hire this man. He rents his sanders and it appears does not use a professional grade sander. I am trying to get my deposit back. I have hired someone else, and they did the job very well. This man is very nice and friendly and extremely incompetent.

Robert was extremely professional and thorough. Even though when he originally came to do the estimate for the work, it appeared less needed to be done, he still completed the job in its entirety & didn't charge us anything more. It was completed satisfactorily & I would highly recommend him to other people in need of this type of work.

I would "highly" recommend Robert Horne Contracting for floor installation. We had previously bought our new flooring and we needed an installer. Robert Horne's office called me right away and came out to our home and gave us a "reasonable" estimate. He sent me an estimate for the work to be done within 24 hours. He did an "excellent" job installing our new floating floor and cleaned up after he was done. If we need any contracting needs in the future I would "definitely" use them again. Great service, kind, considerate, and cleans up.

We contact Bob to fix and complete a job done very badly by another contractor. He was always very courteous, and made sure to accommodate our requests, including to correct something done by another person. We had our house floor replaced with natural stones. His job was flawless, and the result very, very nice. We enjoy having working with him, and would recommend his work in a heartbeat. Isabella & Ed Deisley
