It was a very pleasant and professional exchange. I was impressed by the variety of things with which Mr Noll could assist.
Description of Work: Mr.Noll performed a variety of services. He repaired screens, the lock on the garage door, replaced a vent fan in the powder room, patched drywall, and hung blinds. In short, he did all the miscellaneous things I never seem to get done.

Richard did a great job. He was very responsive, punctual, professional and reasonably priced. I had several small odd jobs, so I was not sure if it was worth Richard's time to even come out. I was pleasantly surprised when Richard came out quickly, provided an estimate and scheduled the work - all within about 5 days of my initial call. Richard was very honest in providing estimated supplies and labor charges up front. He not only stuck to his estimate, but came in about $30 less than estimated since he finished the jobs quicker than anticipated. He provided documentation for all supply costs and was neat and careful. Although these were odd jobs, it was clear that Richard is clearly the type of contractor who does the job right and holds himself accountable for the finished product. I would not hesitate to use Richard again for any job that he is comfortable taking on and reccomend him to anyone without hesitation.
Description of Work: Richard did several small odd jobs including, fixing rain down spout, fixing an "off balance" ceiling fan, replacing chandelier light bulbs (which were too high for me to get to) and fixing a garage door by replacing tension springs.

Richard was great to work with. He arrived on-time, reviewed the work that he was going to do (he previously went over the list when he stopped by to estimate the work), and then just got started. He needed no supervision and did a great job. He also suggested a couple ideas & options on how to solve a few things. All work was done on time and at the price he specified. A fantastic experience. We will definitely use him again and we have already given his info to some friends.

I was very happy with the work done by Richard. He was prompt in getting back to me and coming out for an estimate. More importantly, he did the job the right way. Repairing the window leak required some outside caulking that I had missed when I performed the job myself. He then repaired the header, drywall and plaster. The sliding glass door leak actually turned out to be the bigger issue. He discovered where the leak was coming from and identified a section of the wood framing that was rotting out from water damage. He cut out and replaced that section and sealed it. His idea of doing things right was comparable to mine and I was very happy with the work performed.

Richard was quick and did a great job. When we didn't like the way one of the floor areas looked in the powder room he immediately replaced it without question. This is the second time we've had work performed by him and have been satisfied with the outcomes.

Richard is an excellent handyman!!! I was staging my house for sale and he was phenominal! He gave a detailed estimate of the work and the time it would take. I kept adding on to the job and he didn't mind. He was on time and very conscientious and wanted to make sure the job was done right even if it meant staying late. He replaced all of our old lighting. He put up a couple light fixtures, that I ended up not liking, and he had no problem with taking them down and replacing them with fixtures I liked better. He made trips to Home Depot or Lowes to buy supplies and gave me a detailed list of what he had purchased and how much it cost. When I had a problem with the lighting in the dining room he came on a Saturday to fix it. I can't praise him enough for making what was a very stressful time much easier. And I can say that with confidence because I did not have that same experience with another handyman I hired to do work on the exterior of our home.
Description of Work: Handyman -- painting, removing old light fixtures and chandelliers putting in new ones, spackling ceiling and filling holes left behind, installing dimmer, caulking tub, replacing bathroom fan, hanging towel holders, hiding cable cords...

Great. We're planning to put our house on the market next January and had a wide variety of things we needed done. We got three estimates. His was the best estimate and he was able and willing to do a wider variety of the work we wanted (meant hiring only one person instead of multiple folks). He communicated with us before hand and on a daily basis during the process. Althought there are a few touch-ups we will do on our own, the quality of work was great for the price. At the end he provided us with the receipts for everything he purchased as back-up and left us any extra materials. We are planning on hiring him again to do a few more things we've decided to have done.
Description of Work: Richard painted practically our enitre house and did lots of other work too (four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, LR, DR FamRm, Kitchen, laundry rm, hallways, foyer). He painted ALL the ceilings, window trim, door trims, baseboards, interior and exterior doors, heat vents & return vents along with all the walls in the house except two bedrooms. He stripped wallpaper, repaired ceilings and walls, installed baseboards & crown molding, installed pocket door handles and bathroom faucets, removed and replaced two tiled floors, power washed the exterior, etc... He even mixed paints for us when the color we choose didn't come up the way we thought it would.

Richard did a bunch of small handyman repairs in the house and in the yard such as repairing a wall damaged by water sepage, fixing a closet and bathroom doors (carpentry) as well as a broken fence in the backyard. He did all the jobs to my satisfaction and was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely rcommend him to others!

Great service overall. I contacted him to provide me a written estimate of the work I wanted done. He came to my house on schedule and provided me his estimate the following day. He provided a detailed breakdown of the tasks with the cost of the materials and estimated hours*labor associated with each. He promptly responded to all my questions. Though it took me a while to commit (I am quite cautious with people I hire), he was patient and was not pushy. Richard was very accomodating and worked around my schedule. He's prompt and calls when he thinks he would be running late. He's a good guy - hard-working and trustworthy. At completion of the project, he was right on target with his estimate. I am satisfied with the work he performed and will not hesitate hire him again in the future!

Richard is a true professional and does quality work. His estimate was "by the hour" but he estimated how many hours the job would take and he was right on target. His price was great and his work was even better. It's great to find someone like Richard who can and will do the smaller jobs without hesitation.

Really excellent! Richard Noll was extremely helpful and accommodating. He knows a lot about how to fix many items that have a tendency to need repair or adjustments in a home. Plus - he's such a nice person! You can't go wrong.
Description of Work: Many odds ands ends around the house - fixed hinges, changed toilet seats, fixed drain stopper, hooked up stereo equipment, moved furniture (e.g., from the basement to an upstairs bedroom), hung heavy mirrors and pictures in high-up places, removed heavy exercise equipment from the basement I wanted to get rid of, etc. There was quite a lot to do since I had recently moved in. He was here one full day and part of another. He didn't charge for time when he ran out to the store for parts. He guarantees his work, too.

Richard is the perfect handyman! He is a consummate professional, who does exceptional work, on time, AND in my case, actually under budget. We are preparing our house for sale and had a series of projects of various sizes needing completion. Richard came to our house the day after we called and spent more than an hour with me walking through our entire house, carefully noting down our projects, and their requirements. We had an aggressive deadline (we had already scheduled our first open house), and Richard committed to being done in time. Richard gave us a detailed estimate which was $600 dollars less than another handyman's estimate. Richard understood the process of prepping a house for sale and knew exactly the right solution for our various issues. Richard was a miraculously efficient whirlwind of handiness. By efficiently using his downtime while some painting projects dried he was able to resolve smaller carpentry and plumbing issues by the handful. At the end of the first day Richard had fixed more things than a previous contractor had done in a week. Most impressively, everything Richard has touched looks better than new! When Richard fixes something, it _stays_ fixed. I wish we had found Richard years ago. By the time Richard had half of our projects completed we had found another ten things needing fixing, and Richard graciously agreed to complete those in time for our open house as well. Today Richard finished all of our projects. He was 2 days early, completed about 25% more work than originally budgeted, and the price was still $100 below his estimate. Our house is now in better condition than when we moved in five years ago, thanks to Richard!
Description of Work: We had a whole series of projects of all sizes to prep our house for sale. These included: * Installing and painting new drywall in finished basement * Installing a new handrail in basement * Repairing and painting molding on exterior doors * Repairing wiring in the garage * Replacing a toilet * Painting a bathroom, several ceilings, and baseboard trim in several rooms * Repairing drawers and cabinets * Regrouting of a tub and shower * Powerwashing our house, patio, and sidewalk * Repairing a faucet * All kinds of other small fixes

Mr. Noll arrived on time for the initial estimate, went through all the concerns on our list and made suggestions, compiled a list, called back in a few days with the estimate, arrived on the scheduled day and completed the work. This is the second time we have employed Mr. Noll and we find him knowledgable and reliable, not to mention trustworthy and pleasant. We will continue to employ him for our various household repairs.
Description of Work: Mr. Noll replaced all outdoor light fixtures, repaired broken toilet mechanism and seat, repaired loose siding, shingels, replaced all flood lights, replaced cabinet/drawer knobs, removed old drapery hardware and touched up area, moved mailbox and replaced house numbers, replaced leaky sink hose nozzle, installed handheld shower head, fixed loose kick plate under cabinet, removed old plexiglass panels in door and had new replacement ones made and reinstalled.

Mr. Knoll was very easy to reach and we set up a day and time to come over and give an estimate. Mr. Knoll showed up on time and even apologized for interrupting our dinner and offered to wait! (Even though i was the one who set up the date and time). Was extremely professional and courteous. Looked over the job and told me his hourly rate and how he handled materials and such. Gave me an estimate of the time to complete and we set up a day and time to do the work. Called back after the weekend to let him know that I wouldn't need him for this job and he was still very professional and courteous and told me to give him a call if I needed anything, which I will!
Description of Work: Got an estimate from Mr. Knoll on removing an existing vanity top and putting in a granite top. Ended up doing it myself (not because of my faith in Mr. Knoll or his estimate but because I wanted to break stuff!) and the Granite company included install as part of their sq. foot price so I did not need Mr. Knoll's services.

Richard came within two days of my call to do an estimate for the work. The job was scheduled within two weeks and was completed in the timeframe estimated. Richard asked for a deposit for materials, and provided copies of receipts as well as a detailed report of what he did and what hours he worked on the job at the completion of the work. He asked us to take a look at what he had done and to let him know if there was anything more he needed to do to make us satisfied with the quality of the work before paying him for the labor. Richard did a great job - the entire basement is now clear of crumbling debris, freshly painted, light, and clean instead of dark and dingy.
Description of Work: The work included: Re-cementing (parging) the masonry basement walls (we had knocked off and cleaned up the loose material before he came to do the work). Painting the newly parged basement walls with masonry paint. Painting the basement floors and wooden stairs and doors with industrial enamel (that he had recommended highly for its resiliance). We also had him fill the cracks in the cement floor, remove an old sink and cap off the plumbing, add weather stripping the the outside basement bilco door, and reinforce the floor of and exterior room that protruded into the basement.

Mr. Noll was great! He promptly replied to my email, came over to check out the porch and gave me an estimate that was much better than another one I received. He was also very optimistic about the whole job--"this won't be a problem, shouldn't take that long", etc. Once the work actually started he worked very quickly and was very neat. The project took a few days to complete due to the weather, but the porch was cleaned up beautifully every day. He gave me copies of all his receipts for supplies as part of the itemized the bill. The whole experience was great!
Description of Work: Mr. Noll repaired my enclosed porch. He stripped 9 window panels of old, flaking paint, repaired areas with rotting wood/trim, replaced one panel with new glass, reglazed all panels, repainted everything, and replaced the hardware--latches and hinges. He also stripped and repainted the exterior door.

It went really well and he was terrific. He taught us things about our house. He came on time and was trustworthy enough to let him in my home while I was gone. I am going to use him again.
Description of Work: He hung a shelf, repaired a lock, put up a hose holder outside, hung every picture in the house and artwork, moved hardware that wasn't in the right places and filled in holes, repaired a broken pane of glass in a window, replaced the wax ring in a toilet, put up a new shower head, and regrouted the floor.
