Our outside electrical box literally melted down and the wires were arcing - our house, on the inside, looked like we were experiencing a brown out throughout the entire house AND some parts were dead. We called PECO as we live in a neighborhood that has many problems when harsh weather occurs. They came out and told us it was the box and for safety reasons they were shutting off our power completely. I called Keith that night - not only did he get back to me right away, he sent his team out immediately the next morning. Those guys worked outside for over 2 hours in the cold and we even got a complementary inspection on our outlets throughout the entire house. Our house is old and we are constantly needing to upgrade - I will continue to work with KB Electric. Thank you Keith and team.

Keith and his team were great. Thorough, meticulous, and extremely tidy. .. Keith who's the owner was really great to work with during the initial walk through and coming up with ideas on some of the solutions like the kitchen lighting. .. On the day of the installs, I think there were four guys including Keith, and they were all a pleasure to have in my home. All were right to business and I don't think I saw 2 seconds of wasted time. When I say tidy, I'm talking booties and full vacuum of all work areas. My cleaning lady could not find one trace of work having taken place... Not bad.. .. I was also really impressed with how knowledgeable the team was, most notably related to my home automation and issues about how the home wiring and switch/outlet setup all interact. In this area they really exceeded my expectations. I am technical and pretty knowledgeable about electronics and the workings of US AC power. As such it's tough to feel at ease with others working on my home systems or electronics. I have to say though that it was no more than 10 minutes after Keith's team started that I was at complete ease. .. Keith is also highly reputable and based on what I saw, the guy you want to trust with your home electrical work. They are all licensed and bonded and insured, but in my book that just gets you in the door. My electrical work standards are quite high and I was really pleased with the caliber of Keith's team. We spoke at length about running a business and Keith is the kind of person you really want to work with, exemplary ethics.. I'll share this quick illustration. After Keith had finished installing the Kitchen low voltage lighting system he was doing some checkout as a final once over before the team wrapped up. After a bit he noticed that the transformer seemed to be a little warm. Even though the unit was not hot and seemed to work fine, Keith completely reinstalled a brand new transformer and then went through a 2nd long test out process to make sure that the unit was running cool. Keith showed exactly what I would want most from an electrician, he treated this as if it was his own home and wanted to take no risks. .. I could not be more pleased with Keith and his team and fully intend to use Keith as my Go To Electrical Contractor for work in the future.

KB Electric came out the same day and installed the manual transfer switch. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. They made sure to keep us updated on the progress of the installation and before leaving gave us step by step explanation on the switch and how to use it. They also left their emergency number in case we had any further questions or need assistance. They were awesome! We have used contractors in the past and KB Electric is the best we have ever used. Will definitely hire them for other jobs in the future. Highly recommended!!

I was having problems with the GFCI circuit that was in my garage and powered my cable/ internet system and the garage door opener. The circuit would not reset. The technician came within two hours of my call. He quickly diagnosed the problem. My outside outlets were on the same circuit and were rusted and wet. He replaced them and the circuit was reset. However, he charged me $139 for the two outlets which is 3-4 times what they cost a Lowes and $139 for less than an hour of labor plus tax.

Mike arrived on time and got right to work.He was courteous and thorogh.I was impressed by KB because they treated me like they wanted my business even though the job I had was small.I would definitely use them again!

From the initial call and throughout the process, KB was great with communication. They either answered or called me back very quickly which, in my own experience, is an uncommon thing when dealing with contractors. Keith, the owner, set us up with Will, one of their master electricians, as our main point of contact for the estimates and the job. Will is awesome. Very easy to talk to, polite and honest. He and a small crew showed up on time and installed 4 recessed lights, 3 wall sconces, 1 exhaust vent/heater unit, 3 way rocker switch and dimming switch in a bathroom. They got it all done in one day and put everything exactly where I marked it. Quick, professional and painless. I would definitely recommend them to will be using them for future jobs!

Mike and Brian were courteous, professional and clean. They wore shoe covers and put down drop clothes under the ladders. They also moved furniture carefully and respectfully where needed to make room for the ladders. While no true electrical work was being done, two men were needed to handle such tall ladders safely. The job took exactly one hour from initial assessment to final clean-up completion. All light bulbs, which I had purchased in advance, were replaced well. However, for this one hour of lightbulb changing, I was charged $499, which I felt was excessive for one hour of easy work and took advantage of my inability to change the lightbulbs on my own.

They were really punctual, my husband called, and they were in the area and sent someone right away. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. We will definitely be using them again in the future, and highly recommend them to anyone in our area.

Keith, the owner called me the day before to confirm and that morning when the driver was on his way. I had a 9:00 appointment and the Mike electrician arrived around 8:45. I moved my car so that he could park and work in the back of the house where the work was being done. I was told that it would take approximately 4 hours to complete the job and he was done by 1:00 pm. He then cleaned up after himself and hauled away all of the debris.

Estimator was on time and very courteous. KB even provided the ease of texting to communicate a meeting time/date. Provided a quote on location. Quote was higher than others we had we received to the degree of about 2,000 more. Estimator discussed adding additional components to project that I did not desire. Estimator wanted a $30 service call charge. I did not pay as this was not disclosed from the beginning of communication.

Keith is a professional in every sense of the word. He explained my problem and repaired it in a timely manner. He has been available to meet our needs and is punctual for his appointments. This was the second time we used him and we will be using him for all our electrical needs in the future. We will certainly recommend KB Electric.

Keith and team are fantastic. I almost want to not review them and keep them a secret from the local community - they are that good. Keith responded to all me emails and questions very quickly. He came over for the estimate and was on-time, wore covers over his shoes to keep our house clean, and provided an estimate on the spot. We accepted the estimate, scheduled the install date within the same day. One week later his team came and quickly and efficiently got the job done.

The owner responded promptly to schedule an appointment. He arrived on time and was able to give us a reasonable estimate and completed the job during the same appointment. He was professional as well as friendly. We will definitely use him for future electrical work and refer him to others.

Keith was quick to return my call and came out within a couple of days to take a look. He was very friendly and professional, went through the items I wanted to have done, gave suggestions, and provided a written estimate on the spot. I had (5) things on my list and decided to have two of them done now. The work was scheduled quickly, they were punctual, professional, and left the work areas clean. Quote was right on the money. I will definately be contacting them again when I'm ready to have the rest of the work done.

Keith fielded the initial call, understood my needs and recommended an interlock rather than the traditional transfer switch and panel. This option would allow me to power any switches in the panel - barring load - and was a more logical option for my portable generator set-up. I received a general quote over the phone, had sent a text photo of my panel, and we scheduled for the very next week after the parts came in. This was easier than the second quote I received where I had to schedule an in-person quote. I asked for about another 100 foot of cable to extend the 30 amp plug across the basement and into the garage, as opposed to an outside plug near the panel but away from where my generator would be. This was a little pricey, but I have little to compare it to. Will and his apprentice arrived on time and as schedule. Will was very professional and pleasant. The job was done in no time. I received an explanation of the operation and was offered the time so we could run a full test. I will use KB for all my subsequent needs, especially since we will begin phase 2 renovations at our home. *Ran a full load test and all worked well, exciting guy-stuff. **I finally received a belated update from another reputable AL electrician, and their price was 70% higher for the same body of work. I changed the price grade from B to A.

Keith and his staff were excellent. On time, thorough, quality, and affordable. Would use again in a heartbeat.

How'd it go? Great. Keith was extremely responsive during the estimate process; he offered a very competitive price; and I just got a general sense of confidence working with him that I didn't get with other companies I worked with in getting estimates. I would definitely hire KB Electric again should I need additional electric work performed at my property.
