Description of Work: 41" of drywall removed, 41" of floor removed 16" off wall, trench to footing , install 4" perferated pvc w/mud filter, 3/4 in stone mira drain and new concrete poured and level w/floor. custom well 1/3 hp zoeller pump installed. exposed wall was sprayed for any mold. cleaned up all debris. |They did a great job! all in 1 day from start to finish about 8 hrs.Also have guarantee which is for the lifetime of the structure and lifetime guarantee on sump pump. excluding labor. As of today not 1 drop of water in our basement. Thank-You BWS!!!!

Description of Work: They installed a french drain in the basement, installed a new sump pump, and re-laid concrete on those areas. They came promptly when i called for the estimate. The estimator put together a very reasonable plan at a good price. When we were ready, we were scheduled within a week. The workers also came as scheduled, answered questions and completed the work in less than two days. As a result, I am now able to use the basement space as a rec room.

Description of Work: After interviewing five different companies for basement waterproofing and mold clean up, I chose basement waterproofing specialist. Their rep was knowledgeable, explained everything in detail, showed me photos and references from prior jobs and was very respectful to me as a female customer and did not talk down to me. Their workers hustled the entire week they were here. They did everything that I requested and then some. They were friendly, explained everything and although there was one issue, the general manager had that resolved within a week. They were not the cheapest quote I got but they were absolutely, by far the best value. They even pinned and repaired my corner foundation when they saw it needed to be fixed. I would highly recommend them especially to female buyers. "Four months and three feet of melting snow and not one drop of water in my basement"

Description of Work: The crew performed work on half the basement, where water entered at the cove during torrential rainfall. The work was quieter than we thought it would be, and the job was done in two fewer hours than we anticipated. The men were courteous, considerate of our property, and worked assiduously without falter or interruption. Each man was conversant and did not hesitate to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it.

Description of Work: BWS placed a 49 linear ft waterproofing system and enlarged sump pump in my basement after discovering we had significant water and mold issues in both walls. This was discovered while having radon mitigation done. BWS was the third estimate I scheduled. I found them first at the Elizabethtown Fair, but then I checked them out on Angie's list. I left my contact info with them on a Tuesday and they called me the next morning to schedule an appt. that day. Although the gentleman was late for our appt, he respected my schedule and went straight to work on diagnosing our problem and recommending a solution. Nick's sales technique was really low pressure and practically no sales pitch. I can't say that for the other companies. You could tell he knew his product well and believed in it. He let the product speak for itself. Let me emphasize that this is what sold me on their product. It's a family run business, but large enough to back their product with a lifetime warranty. The price was the most competitive of the three estimates, but I felt like I received more for my money. For example, they tied in my HVAC system and old sump battery back up, removed my old sump and provided an additional 25 linear feet of work for only $1700 more than the other estimates, which did not include the extras I listed. As far as efficiency goes, they offered a 10% discount if I had the work scheduled immediately. In my case I needed it done ASAP, so it worked in my favor. Discount? Sure sign me up! They were there the next morning with a 4 man crew, which included a foreman. They set up a proper negative airflow and containment prior to working. They treated the existing mold with Fosters 40/80. All were courteous and professional. They worked from 8am - 5pm and the job was done well. I would highly recommend using their services.

Description of Work: Gentleman from Basement Waterproofing Specialists came to home and would not leave until he got a contract signed (was there 2 1/2 hours). Promised the world and finally reduced the price to $13,000. Had others come and give quotes and all were a fraction of the cost. Another person came a few days later after the contract was cancelled and tried to repair the damage that had been done by the first salesman, but it was too little too late and the price was still outlandish. Obviously, did not use Basement Waterproofing Specialists

Description of Work: Installed French drain system in basement as well as addressing outside drainage concerns. Also repaired cracks in foundation walls. Very satisfied with the work that was finished, but a few additional water problems need to be addressed when weather improves.

Description of Work: The fixed a leaking crack in the foundation. I cannot tell if technically it was correct, but included tar, and cover material and a bog hole to make sure they covered the whole area. sales pressure was too intense for my taste, but no harm done

Description of Work: Matt Kropp and Steve Lombardi were our initial contact with BWS. Both were very pleasant and informative. They toured our basement and gave us an estimate. After getting another estimate, we decided to go with BWS. (We went with BWS because, after doing some research, they seemed the most familiar with older buildings such as ours; an almost-100-year-old house.) | |Tom was the foreman of the job. Tom, along with other crew members, tackled our basement and completed the job in two days! The number of crew members ranged from 3 to 6 during the two days. They all worked very, very hard, putting in two 11-hour days. All of the crew were very courteous and pleasant. | |We had moved all our stuff to the center of the basement (with the exception of a few large pieces, which BWS moved). All our items were covered in plastic. We had waterproofing done on the basement floor which entailed trenching, strip drain, clean stone, and the installation of two Zoeller sump pumps. We had mold remediation done and water containment on the walls up to a ledge (that circles the basement about 4 1/2 feet from the floor). The water containment of the walls entailed a vapor barrier, wire mesh and two parge coats. | |When the work was done, Tom gave us a "tour" of the basement - which looked just beautiful! Tom and his crew had cleaned everything up very well, including helping us get rid of some junk that included three very old TVs and old wood (thank you!). You could not tell anyone had been there except for the work they had done in the basement and a path in the grass where they entered and exited the basement. Otherwise, everything was left as it was prior to their arrival. | |We were just amazed by how quickly the basement was completed as well as the organization and teamwork it must have entailed. | |The work came with a guarantee for the lifetime of the structure and is transferrable to new homeowners if/when the house is sold.

Description of Work: French drain system all the way around my basement at base of walls. |The crews were very hard working, clean, courteous and professional! |Greg answered every question I thought of, I got in the way a lot. So far the French drain system has performed exactly as the inspector ED said it would. Ed was fantastic and very knowledgeable, and not high pressure like another company we called out from the Oaks home show! The other company wanted to install a black ribbed squishy pipe / hose in my floor. I said it looks like something my kid plays with and no thank you, the other company would stop calling after they left. They kept saying they could give me a better price over the phone. My wife and I are so happy we chose a family owned company and not a big Box company. Ken and Debbie were a pleasure to talk to at the show too!
