The work was some of the best masonry I've seen. There was no difference between the new work and the weathered old sections.

Dennis and his team were AMAZING. I have a older home and the work and time that they put in to make sure that every crack was filled and corrected was great. Dennis and his team was on time and stayed until the work was done. I will definately use them again. Thank you!!!! Job well done.

Denis was very prompt in scheduling a time to come out and give me an estimate. He explained all the details of what he could do to fix the face of our very old, poorly mortared-over foundation on the front of our house. He and his team showed up right on time and were very polite and professional. They removed all of the old mortar and concrete, replaced stones where needed, ribbon-pointed all of the joints and seams, built a small curb to match our neighbor's, and really made our house look great. Our stone foundation now looks brand new. He and his team did an outstanding job. We had him come back a few weeks later to do the same to the rear foundation, and spot point some failing brick mortar on the side of our house. I'll definitely be using them in the future.

Denis and his workers did an OUTSTANDING job. The work looks better than the original! Denis listened to our concerns and worked diligently to make sure we were completely happy with the job. He worked carefully around our bushes so they wouldn't be destroyed, and he and his workers took great care to keep our gates closed so that our dogs would stay safely in our yard. He and his workers were extremely professional throughout the entire job. We are thrilled with the wonderful work performed! It looks beautiful!

Their work is highly professional. The mortar color and application style match the existing work well, and all non-mortar parts (ie a lattice under our porch, meters, etc.) were replaced carefully. Clean up was superb, and done daily. Masons were very easy to work with, and maintained excellent contact throughout the process. Their price was excellent, especially since they discovered that our old building needed more care and repair than originally anticipated. Work started on time, and was completed expeditiously. Highly recommend.

The flagstones on my front door landing and steps came loose over the years and became a trip hazard. I contacted 10 contractors to obtain quotes to repair the landing and steps. I spoke with a few and I was told that they are booked through Spring 2015 and won't be able to do the work. Others, didn't even have the simple courtesy to return my messages. The few who returned my messages quoted me very high. One even told me that I would have to remove all 5 of the stes and landing and rebuild the whole thing. So, you can imagine how high the quote was. But, as God would have it, I called Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing, Inc and spoke with Denis. He was very courteous on the phone. I explained to him the problem, and he understood excatly what I was talking about and was very knowledgeable about the causes and repair work needed. He also guaranteed me that he would be able to do it within two weeks, weather permitting. We had some rainy days and had to push back the date. But, Denis was so professional, he informed me of the date changes in a timely manner. Finally, we had some non-rainy days and we set a date. I had planned on being on site to observe the work. But, Denis suggested that there is no need for me to take off from work. Based on my previous communications with him, I trusted his judgments and knew that he would do an excellent job. And, indeed he did an excellent job. He arrived on site and completed the job the same day and I was quite impressed with the work done. The workmanship was superb. He removed the old flagstones and installed the new ones and they were laid down properly. The pointing was on point. He cleaned up after he was finisihed and then came back about two weeks later to waterproof the landing and steps. He even sealed some other areas around the steps/landing that was not in the contract. I was just so happy to find him, as it is truly hard to find good contractor like him. I am a very happy and satisfied customer and I just love looking at my new landing and steps. I won't hesitate to hire him in the future. Dennis immediately fit us into the schedule and arrived promptly to the job. Dennis and his teammate could not have been nicer or more professional! They quickly figured out the problem and recommended another company to us (the repairs needed were different than we thought). Great experience and will definitely call Dennis again!

He was very responsive in providing a written estimate. He tentatively scheduled the work and confirmed a final date. He came on a Friday, while we were at work. We were pleased with his craftmanship and instructions for how to handle the patch during the winter time.

Denis returned my call and came out to give me an estimate in a timely manner. He was able to complete the work within 1 week. Denis and his co-worker were prompt, polite, and cleaned up well when they were finished. The chimney looks great and I especially appreciated Denis being willing to also do the spot repointing on the walls. I would recommend this company to any one in need of brick repointing services.

I saw this company on angies list and gave them a call. Denis arrived I told him the work I needed done he emailed me a detailed estimate the next day. Mark and Lamont were great. They ground out the old mortar and replaced it, removed the ugly brick patch and replaced it with brick that actually matched my home. These guys are very hard working, polite and the project was completed on time and to my satisfaction. My home looks beautiful now. I thought customer service was pretty much a thing of the past but you guys are bringing it back! Philadelphia Brick and Stone rocks!

Denis came out promptly and got back to me very quickly with an estimate. Work began and finished on time and on budget. The work crew was very polite, conscientious, and highly skilled. They were attentive to my wishes for small variations in the work specifications and conferred with me before making critical decisions on their own. Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing is on my persona list of A+ contractors.

It was perfect. We had a little bit of a problem and they just fixed everything. Professionalism was A++. I would absolutely use them in the future.

The crew was professional and performed repointing like artists. We were very concerned about dust penetration and the crew was very clean - covering all windows and thoroughly power washing the front and back porches. We did not have any dust get into our home.

Recently, Denis Doughtery (the owner) and his men completed two (2) projects at our home. Denis came out within a day or two after our call and then submitted a complete proposal for both jobs. His proposal was itemized for each project that he was to do. We had four (4) other proposals; but his was the only one that was itemized completely! We have a single all brick home; when Denis and his men started they ground out all mortar joints on front of our home and then repointed the front. Upon completion of the front of the house, they then started on the rest of the house. The back and sides of our house where there was cracked or deteriorated joints they were ground and the repointed. A waterproofing agent was put on the entire house when they were done. Each day they cleaned up and put their equipment away as much as possible so that nothing would be in the way. Cost for this project $3,200.00. Denis and his men demolished existing steps and replaced them with new concrete steps. There was one step coming into the house that was wood and over the years had rotted out. I had other contractors look at it and they were unsure what to do about it. Denis and another worker looked at the step from the basement and outside and together decided the best way to take care of this step! Finally, steps that will last for many years! We now have front steps that are NOT cracked or have have pieces missing. They are beautiful, and I am very pleased the way the steps turned out! Cost of this project $2,100.00. Denis and his men did more than what they were contracted for. Denis had to take down a canopy that was over our front door. He noticed that it was leaking one day when it was raining, so before he put it back up he asked me if he could caulk ALL the seams and hopefully that would stop the leaking. He did what he said he would do; and NO MORE WATER LEAKING THROUGH THE CANOPY! He even helped me put up a new mailbox. I cannot say enough about Denis and his men, these guys are hard working, polite, and very conscientious about their work! We plan to have them do more work in the fall on our basement.

It looks fantastic...like a completely new wall. Denis and his team were fantastic and I will definately use him again and will refer him to family and friends.

Denis and Lamont were amazing and went above and beyond on every aspect. I work a lot and Denis kept me informed on the work bring done and did more than required as he saw opportunities that needed to be addressed. He recommended some roof work that needed to be done which caused the brick to deteriorate and was helping me so we could prevent future issues. They were professional and they answered any questions that we had. Denis even took the time to help my elderly father to the car and helped my mother in law carry the groceries into the house. He is genuinely a good person and we were honored to have them work on our home.

Denis and Mark were pleasant to deal with. They did a professional job. I was happy with the overall experience and would hire them again.

Denis (the owner) came out to bid the job. Within a day he submitted a detailed quote in writing, listing all lthe aspects of the project and the scope of the work completed, which was great. The quote was very competitive, I appreciated his professionalism and we scheduled the project. They started work on Friday, working with my crazy schedule, opperating in a three man crew, including Denis the owner. They worked very efficiently setting up the scafolding, removing plants, and drapped everything off to contain the dust. Next, they started grinding out the existing morter joints, which was done in one day (small row house). At the end of the day they spent considerable amount of time cleaning up the dust, and even took the time to hose everything down. The following day, they repointed the entire house, and then wire brushed everything smooth. Again at the end of the day they cleaned up the mess from the day. The third day, they waterproofing the entire front. The project couldn't have gone much smoother. The house looks great, it's sealed up thight for years to come, and I look forward to working with WPM Co. again in the spring.

The stairs came out great. They are completely repaired and level. The job appears to be high quality and built to last. I had 3 interactions with Denis, all were professional. He came out to give me a price, returned and worked for about 6 hours, and then returned and worked for another 2 hours to complete the job. Denis did a great job and I recommend him to anyone.

I'm not what most people would call very goal oriented. As a matter of fact, this bore itself out when I found myself asking these guys in the back of my house doing work on another property if they could come take a look at my property. My sidewalk was suffering from years of wear & tear, from salt (a huge corrosive during those harsh winters) as well as ponding from areas that I, myself, tried to patch over. So, you can now believe me when I stated my goal was NOT to have my entire sidewalk repaved as my goal, but I'll say the timing was right in spotting & corralling these guys to do the job. Luck was definitely on my side as these guys pretty much did fall from the sky! (as their project in the back of my property had them working high up on scaffolds.) In any case, to sum it up, these guys know their stuff - with experience from 3 generations back!! It's a tough, back-breaking job (breaking up the concrete) wherein they all seamlessly worked together to complete the job in a couple of days' time w/ barely any inconveniences. They were polite, courteous, accommodating, respectful & incredibly proficient in their task at hand. Bottom line? They have far exceeded my expectations and not only completed my entire sidewalk in record time but also threw in, gratis!!, framing out my tree, Washington Hawthorne, which abutted the curb. These guys' work is priceless which is, ironically just that! You will pay a "price less" than what you might expect to pay. My ONLY complaint was not with any of them but rather with my schnauzer who was totally uncooperative in getting him to impress his paw print in my new pavement!! My overall rating which includes workmanship, labor, appearance, cost & reliability is an A+! Not to mention that on the same block as mine, a neighbor 3 doors away hired them to do THEIR sidewalk as well, so the good word & their great work is quickly spreading!! Grab these guys when you can WHILE you can!!! They're the BEST!! :)
