Description of Work: The bead of the siding which we wanted came in 20 ft sections. When we settled on a color, the original bead in that color only came in 16 foot sections. The salesman did not know or did not inform us before the delivery of the materials. |The workmen were able to do a fairly good blending but it took several detailing trips.

Description of Work: removed all old roof tile down to the wood deck, repaired damaged wood and installed new 3-D roof with ice dams using new type lining instead of traditional felt paper. Insulated the entire attic including, between the rafters, doubling the R factor. Extremely professional and excellent workmanship and sales presentation but maybe a little too expensive.

Description of Work: In process of getting a roof and four windows. The work has not been started, should be started in April 2015.

Description of Work: They put on a new roof, after stripping off the old roof and repairing the underlying wood. We were under a deadline to get the job done and they worked like the dickens to accomplish it. We left the house late Friday afternoon and the place was a mess, but when we returned you wouldn't know they'd been there. Excellent crew, good project manager/management. About three months after the job was finished we discovered we had a small issue with one piece of flashing over a window. They came back promptly and remedied the situation. Very much impressed overall.

Description of Work: They installed a new living room window, it was a very thorough professional job. Sales presentation was far too lengthy, well over 2 hrs. But I am totally satisfied window looks great.

Description of Work: 4 Double Hung Windows installed - 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. It went very well. One person did the job and he was the nicest person and did the job very efficiently and professionally. Very impressed. I am really, really happy with my windows.

Description of Work: I am not sure of the exact date they came but is was a few weeks ago from Novemebr 25, 2014. The 2 men made an appointment, with my husband,to check out our roof. They were on time, around 7:00 p.m. I inquired about any connection we had with them and they said we are in their data base. My guess is that the guy canvassing the neighborhood about a year ago was the connection. They examined the roof both outside, in the dark, and inside. We purchased the house about 7-8 years ago. The roof was relatively new and the home inspector said the roof was a good quality and should last 25 years. About 3 years ago we had a home energy assessment preformed and there was no problem noted concerning the roof. However, these 2 men from Power Home Remodeling Groups made it sound like the roof was about to cave in - leaks, wood falling off, poor ventilation, someone leaning a ladder against the roof could be in danger due to the rotted wood, etc. They stayed between 2.5 and 3 hours. I felt that they were trying to wear us down so that we would agree to have work done. I left to pick up my son from work at 9:00 p.m. and they were still here when I returned. When they finally left, there was no written estimate for all this work they said we should have done. They only left the business card for one of them. We started to get calls constantly on both our home phone and my cell phone. We didn't answer them. I don't answer those type of calls on my cell phone during the day when I am at work so, in fairness, we never spoke to them but the calls were relentless. These constant calls continued for days until my son couldn't stand it any longer. He called them and asked them not to try to contact us any longer. It was after that when I decided to check them out on Angie's list. Based on our first impression, there is no way we would use them to perform any work.

Description of Work: I was solicited by a representative of Power Home for a new roof. I agreed to a short presentation. When I met with the salesman he went on and on before giving me a price. The price was outrageous. I ended up getting a quote from a reputable company for less than one-third the price. The salesman had a aggressive approach and attempted to pressure me into signing a contract. It was infuriating to deal with this company.

Description of Work: Called and made appt for estimate for 18 Windows,1bay window and 1 storm door. Explained that my time was limited due to hospice care situation in my family. Received email confirming my appt. time and date. Made arrangements for someone to cover for me during this time. After waiting for about 45 minutes called powers and after some confusion was told that my appt was a "mistake" and that a message had been left for me cancelling appt. NO MESSAGE EVER LEFT ON MY PHONE SYSTEM. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Have called another company on Angies List to try again and arranging new coverage for my situation.

Description of Work: The salesman made a lot of promises about the sideing and did not relay that to the subcontractor and it was not done. They bullied us to get the project started and when a start date was agreed. The subcontractor did not show up. Two days later they show up unannounced. Then I had to chase them for a garage door they said they would give us a no additional charge. They sent no representative when the project was over, when they said that is their policy.

Description of Work: Roof removal and replacement. The job was done in a professional manner, including cleanup. The team arrived on time and completed the job in one day, even though two days were scheduled. |I only have two negatives about the experience. Their price was at the high end of the spectrum, but I believe it was a top notch job. Still a bit pricey. The other is their sales tactics. While not a "high pressure" sales pitch, they do put a lot of pressure on you to sign on the spot, as they offer a "first visit only" price that is lower than the "good for one year" price quote. So I suggest that if you want to be able to compare prices, get your other quotes first.

Description of Work: Initial consulatation was lengthy, detailed and required both of us to be present. Mike was terrifically knowledgeable and had great color sense. | |We replaced soffits and gutters. Two great crews. Work was thorough, fast, good cleanup. | |Power takes every opportunity to educate you on what more can be done to improve your home with detailed, infographics. Presentations were determined but we'll wait until next year for whatever comes next in our 1929 twin.

Description of Work: Prompt arrival, efficient workers, left all areas very clean, great in person follow up by Quality Dept. personnel to make sure job was done right. Have hired them to do additional work on my home.

Description of Work: I was getting my siding, gutters and roof done. | |The salesman came to my house and was nice enough. | |He looked around my house then came inside. We talked about the products, then he hit me with the estimate. It was somewhere around $28,000. | |Then he mentioned a 'interest free' financing option. With this 'interest free' financing the total shot up to around $35,000. When I pressed him on the difference, he said it was a financing fee and there was nothing he could do about it. Basically it was a one time hit on the total amount of the loan at a high percentage. He also kept pressing the 'monthly payment' angle. Trying to obscure the thievery that he was attempting. | |Finally, he started in with the hard sell. They had a special I was great for, but it was only around till Saturday. If I wanted to take advantage, I needed to contact him by Saturday. I said thank you and told him I would get back to him. | |I got two other estimates and got a great job done (Roof, Gutters, and Siding) for 12,800. I was also able to get real interest free payments for a year. Ya know 12,800 / 12. | |I don't know why, but this salesman tried all the wrong tactics with this customer. I would not recommend them. If you entertain the thought of hiring them, get other estimates. They will be shockingly lower.

Description of Work: They were utterly professional from start to finish. The remodeling consultant Devon was great and helped us design what was truly a stunning transformation. The crew was on time and efficient and cleanup was flawless. Couldn't ask for more. We paid more with them, but felt like we got what we paid for

Description of Work: We had our roof replaced. We are pleased with the newly installed roof! The process went smoothly...from the sales people, to the men installing the roof, everything happened when they said it would. It was an easy process and we are happy with the results.

Description of Work: Pricey but the quality seems worth it. Although they promise a thorough clean-up, we are still picking up nails around our backyard.

Description of Work: Wasted 4 hours of my time with their lengthy presentation. Should have taken 30 mins or less to give us an estimate along with our options. Did not appreciate their sales tactics and thought the estimate was outrageous.
