As other reviews have stated. The sales pitch/presentation is just ridiculous . My wife even started dinner in front of the rep because he wouldn't leave trying to push the NOW price. And how desperate they are to make a sale. We finally gave in after 4 hours of h***. And ended being quoted $5000. For 5 hopper windows. I wanted to finance. But was turned down. After they threatened with lawyers for payment I worked them down to $3800. Still too much. Don't deal with these people. Go through anybody else but power home remodeling group. They are pushers and hustlers and their product is regular at best

Crew arrived promptly, were very professional and nice. Crew leader, Mike was great--accommodating, answers all of my questions, gave a demo, fixed a window that didn't latch properly the first time, just overall excellent crew and experience. I would request this crew again and absolutely use PHRG again. This is my second house with PHRG windows, so I was pleased to be able to return after the first great experience. To then have an even better experience was an unexpected but happy surprise!

Gave two options for the scheduler at the show for appointments and when he picked the one on weeknight I made it clear that the maximum time I would give them is 90 minutes for window replacement estimate. I was assured that it was enough time. Then the day of the appointment I received a call to confirm, I again told the agent that I have 90 minutes and would need to leave the house after that. He wanted to leave a 30 minute window for the estimator but would not move it to an earlier time since it was okay for me to wait 30 minutes for the estimator but not okay for him to wait for me 15 minutes. I will not be using these guys again for anything based on my initial interaction with them.

It was a sales pitch for them to do the work. They wanted me and my wife there (present) to give an estimate. Played on my military background stating there was a military discount. Caveat Emptor. I called them to cancel a later appointment but was constantly called by them to ascertain when we could meet.

WAY TOO LONG! This wasn't a quote, it was a full on sales pitch. This guy was at my house almost 3 hours. Further, don't let the word "remodel" fool you. I have a leaking window and an associated water spot on the wall next to it. I am sure they are related and I wanted someone who could address the entire problem. I was quickly told they could do nothing beyond replacing the windows, they don't get involved in fixing walls. Let's face it, they sell window's. That's all they wanted to do. The measuring took forever, the sales pitch went on to the point I had to cut him off and say I needed this to wrap up. It was then that he said he needed to go back out to his car (3rd trip) to get his computer to work up my quote. When he was measuring, he implied that someone back at the office would be doing that after the visit. I told him to hurry, then got and expensive quote and he persisted after that to know why I wouldn't sign up for it on the spot.

Response from Power Home Remodeling
Member, We appreciate the feedback and we're sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. In regards to the length of the pitch, we take the education of our customers seriously - remodeling one's home is often an intimate and personal experience and we want our customers to be informed of all the details - big and small - before choosing to move forward. As you know, details are everything, and we want our customers to understand exactly how our products and services differ from competitors. By and large, our customers appreciate this attention to detail. Setting accurate expectations from the initial meeting, we feel, results in a more pleasant experience for our homeowners throughout the entire project. Secondly, as it relates to Power not servicing walls - our core competencies are windows, roofing, siding, entry and garage doors and attic insulation. We've worked hard over 22 years to refine our processes relating to those products. We don't offer wall repair because we want to offer a best in class experience for customers and it wouldn't make sense to do a project that we're not entirely familiar with, as it wouldn't result in a product of experience that fits within that 'best in class' category. We know what we do well and we do everything we can to deliver on that promise for each of our customers. If you'd like to talk about your experience further, please feel free to contact me directly. I really was very happy with the work that was done. They arrived earlier than expected, but that's a good thing. Was happy with the fact that I was assigned a project manager, who is going to come by after the work is done to make sure everything was done correctly. There was a foreman on sight to make sure the workers did their job correctly. He also took pictures to show me what the work being done looked like (he took pictures of different stages of the project). Even though it was a messy job, after they cleaned up you would never know that it was that messy. I am very satisfied with the job that was done, and very happy that I have a lifetime warranty to go with it.

Everything went like clockwork. There were no surprises from how the process was explained to me. Communication before and during the installation was thorough with very friendly service for start to finish. The work performed was organized and neat with good cleanup during the process. Workers were pleasant and careful. I was able to watch every step of the process. I am very very satisfied from start to finish.

As members of BJs, we contacted their home repair/remodeling service who connected us with Power Home Remodeling Group. PHRG came and gave us an incredible presentation. Very detailed and VERY, VERY professional. I cannot say enough about PHRG and their level of information and professionalism. HOWEVER, their quote for the same work was over $6,000.00 MORE than our highest of 3 quotes and $8,000.00 MORE than our selected company which was in large part for "upgraded" materials and supplies that are just not needed. Think about it, advances in basic materials from just 20 years ago are far better than the materials from then and thus, upgraded materials just aren't needed. Also, I confirmed they use sub-contractors. Up to you, but wouldn't want subs to do the job. Only want companies who use their own employees as you would expect better quality of work from employees rather than subs. Also, they were willing to give a decent discount on the price IF AND ONLY IF you signed the deal that night. A high pressure sales tactic. But think about it, if you say "no" to the deal that night and then call them back a couple of days later and want to hire them at the discount price, you think they would say "no". Of course not, if they can do the job for the discounted price on the night of the inspection/quote, they can do it for that same discounted price two days or a week later. They are NOT going to give up business because you wouldn't accept a discount on an ultimatum. They have no rational defense to this. My understanding is PHRG is a marketing company only. They use subs for everything. They don't own a hammer, just sell them which is why they are drastically higher in price. SUMMARY - Great guys. Very professional and knowledgeable. Wonderful presentation. But in the end, that's what you will overpay for.

Power Home Remodeling has made this experience as easy and effortless as possible. They sent their employees to our house whenever we had to sign the required documents and made it easy to get the job started. The work they did was phenomenal. Honestly, our house looks looks like a different house and we have been getting great feedback from friends and family. The work was done within 2 days. Mike and Brian (project managers) were so great at communicating with us with every detail about the project. I honestly am glad that we chose Power for this project. We had them remove the asbestos old siding that our house had and they installed new greystone siding on the entire house. I would recommend Power Home to anyone looking for any siding or window project. I am also considering hiring Power again to replace a few windows of hours in the future. Thank you again Power!!

We were approached by a PRG person when we were shopping at BJs. They offered to send someone to my house to give me a free estimate on windows. I was a little reluctant but gave my number to them. They kept calling me for months and were very insistent until I finally found a day that my husband and I would be home together so someone could come to do the estimate. I wasn't happy about them been so insistent. However, the guy came for the estimate and did a great job. We agreed to replace some windows and liked to product quality. A project manager came a few days later to recheck the measurements on the windows and to check if I had any questions. We set up a day for the installation. The installation team was punctual and very nice. They did their job in less than 4 hours and left everything clean. The project manager stopped by to review the work before it was finished, to check if I was happy with everything and if I had any questions. Overall, my experience has been very good and I do recommend them.

The first thing I noticed when researching Power Home Remodeling Group was how consistently over-the-top so many of their Angie's List reviews were. I've read hundreds of reviews here, and I had never seen anything like this. I thought, "This must be too good to be true!" But every interaction I've had with them since has lived up to that reputation. They really are that good! Things that stood out for me: Professionalism: From the young man who cold-called me by knocking on my door and introducing the company; to Dan, the salesman, Ryan, with finance; Paul, who did the pre-inspection; Al, who insulated my attic; and Stan, the lead remodeler for the windows; and their crews, every employee I've met has been very professional, earnest, polite and friendly. They all do the company credit with every interaction. Thoroughness: Yes, the main sales call really can take six hours(!); but it was worth it. Dan did a great job educating me on the products he was proposing. More importantly, we carefully looked at my priorities and why I thought certain things were important, and then candidly weighed that against what I could afford. The same thoroughness was present in all the work performed. These guys are serious about what they do, and about getting it right! Quality: Of products, installation and related services. Others: - clear documentation throughout; - a ready willingness to answer questions and explain aspects of the products and the work; - responsiveness; - efficiency (half a day to replace almost all my windows!); - cleanliness during all phases of the job; - nice touches, such as the new Nest thermostat that came with my attic insulation; - reputation, with many projects in my immediate area; - and an almost overabundance of concern with my satisfaction and comfort level at every stage of the process. My home has been transformed! It's quieter, brighter, no longer drafty, and better looking inside and out. So far, I feel like this has been one of the best decisions and investments I've made. I'll definitely be calling them again!

On a Wednesday night after 8pm in my neighborhood a representative from Power Windows and Siding went door to door telling people they were doing work in our neighborhood and were wondering if we needed any work done. Some of my neighbors called the State Police on them for the illegal solicitation. I instead was curious because I do need a new roof, and already had at least one estimate from another company. So I invited the gentlemen in to talk it over. He knew nothing about roofing, but setup a time the next day for someone to visit my home to provide an estimate. I asked him what neighbor were they working at? He responded "they don't tell me anything". I think that was a lie. The next morning I received a phone call from them asking if I would be home that evening for the appointment, but also asked if my wife would be there. I said she was away on business but I would have no problem meeting with them to discuss the quote. They instead wanted to re-schedule the appointment at a time where both of us were home. I told them we were both busy professionals and the chance of getting us both home without an obligation is not likely so I'd like to keep the original appointment. They did not show for the appointment that night. Then over the next 6 days they called me at least 10 times trying to schedule for a quote. I answered the phone one time on a Saturday, and told them they had their chance to provide me a quote and did not show. They wanted to again reschedule at a time when me and my wife would be home. I said that would probably not be very likely to happen. But they still kept calling... Then the morning of 1/30/2014 when they called me again this time I answered the call. After they identified it was Power Windows and Siding calling, I told them to please stop calling me. They responded shortly "that won't be a problem" and immediately hung up on me. No apology, no regrets. Basically, I would not do business with this company under any circumstances. If their whole practice is based on high pressure sales techniques then who are they looking out for? Not you.

The sale person who came to my house was completely unprofessional. It took him 3 and a half hours to give me a quote. After I told him that I would think about it, he became arrogant and made us feel very uncomfortable. I had to ask him to leave my house twice . I was contacted by J D Diskin chief sales officer on 02/05/2014 to discuss my experience on O1/20/2014 while getting an estimate from his company for siding on my home. He was very professional and told me that my experience would never be repeated by his sales team. We had a long talk and I was left with a sense that my experience was not the norm at Power home Remodeling. In addition, changes will be made to improve how estimates are done. Therefore, if you need an estimate for work at your home give them a try and you can draw your own conclusion.
Description of Work: I went to the Philadelphia home show to get estimates on vinyl siding for my home. Power home remolding group set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. On 02/05/2014 I was contacted by J D Diskin, chief sales officer.

They were very punctual and finished the roof in one day. The sales representative told us they would get all the old roof pieces picked up, but I have some small black pieces around my yard. The sales person who arrived for the appointment was inexperienced and left only after we asked him to leave after two hours of trying to sell us the company's windows. I had asked for an estimate for windows and a roof, but apparently the roof representative wasn't informed so there was no roof estimate. The sales person spent an incredible amount of time explaining conduction of heat despite being informed we already knew what it meant. He spoke to us as if we had no knowledge of windows and how they work in a home. At the end of his incredibly long sales pitch, despite my giving up on him shortening his speech and starting dinner in front of him, he said we had to sign now for his quote or be charged a higher price if we signed up for the windows later. We tried to explain to the sales person that much of the information he was giving us we already knew, but he refused to listen and continued to go by his script and couldn't see he was treating us like we were completely ignorant. Unless you have nothing to do for 2-2.5hrs , do not call this company.

My husband and I just recently had twelve windows installed in our home by Power Home Remodeling Groups. Tom and his crew did an outstanding job, very professional and answered all of our questions and concerns spontaneously. We can feel a difference in our home totally free of draft with these new windows installed. While the guys were here they prep for our next project by capping the garage door that will be installed by next week. Also I forgot to mention with all of the new windows we also had the shutters replaced to give it a new look, just beautiful. Tom also gave us a brief demonstration on the windows when handling them properly. In February 2014 we decided to get our front wooden door replaced due to the draft entering into our home. I want to thank Power Home Remodeling Groups and especially to Tom and his crew in catering to our needs.

I was told by the representative yesterday that someone would call today to confirm the appointment and where we were located in order to arrive on time. Today we were called by at least three different people. I spoke with a woman and gave her the details they needed. A couple hours later someone else called again and asked for the same details. I told him that I'd already spoken with their company about that earlier in the day. We arranged our schedule around the 5 PM appointment (it had morphed from 5 PM sharp yesterday to 5-6 PM, closer to 5 PM today). But no one showed up. Obviously they knew how to reach us by phone, given the annoying number of calls today, yet they didn't have the courtesy to let us know that they wouldn't be keeping the appointment. Just as well from what I've been reading on here. My husband wasn't pleased that I'd made the appointment because we didn't really need new siding as I'd thought, but if they would have taken up 2 or more hours of our time to give us the estimate, we both would have been furious. I really dodged a bullet and this was a reminder to me to check any company out before committing to an appointment, even for a free estimate. Two hours of our time is not "free."
Description of Work: Representative stopped by yesterday to see if we would like a free estimate for siding, windows and roof. We had been casually considering siding and I was assured that the estimate would be for future work, so I set up an appointment for an estimate for siding today at 5 PM with someone on the phone. No one kept the appointment and we were not called to let us know.
