We used Power Home Remodeling to install a new roof. The work was high quality, and done on-time. The price is higher than some of the others we got estimates from, but we think it was worth it. High quality materials, very efficiently and professionally installed. Good clean-up after the work was done, and follow-up to make sure we were satisfied. The entire process was very well organized, and professional. The sales call could have gone a bit more quickly, but that's the only small criticism I can think of.

We are so impressed not only with our beautiful new roof, but with the professionalism and diligence of the roofers from Power. They were here on the dot every day and worked 12 hours a day until they were done. They had to remove two sub roofs as well as all the cedar boards before they could even start the process. The finished product is beautiful and it’s guaranteed for 50 years! We’re having Power back to do our gutters and fascia as well as attic insulation and a new front door. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Timely; delayed a week for delivery from factory and one day interruption because of heavy rainfall; installers are professional, helpful and courteous; administrative support excellent. Foreman "Jarred" was informative and friendly throughout. Minor glitches were corrected immediately; team was willing to stay late (6 p.m., 8 p.m.) to make sure the day's tasks were correctly performed and site was cleaned.

Two young men from this company knocked on my door earlier this afternoon. When I answered, one of them went into his spiel about how they're in the neighborhood offering free no obligation estimates, and I pointed to the "No Soliciting" sign prominently hanging next to my front door. He kept persisting, and I told him I'd be happy to read anything he wanted to leave with me but I wasn't going to schedule any appointment. I reminded him again that I don't allow soliciting at my door. He said "I'm not soliciting," and I said that he was indeed doing so. He said soliciting involved an exchange of money, and I told him that's not true and that I was now upset and wasn't interested in even reading his material. He told me that I was wrong and that I should look it up as he walked away. He then went on to my next door neighbor's house. I went inside and printed out the definition of soliciting and walked over and handed it to him. A few minutes later, my doorbell rang and he had left the printout in my door with rude (and incorrect) comments written on the piece of paper. I will never do business with this company, and I hope that the owners of the company see this so they can determine for themselves if this is how they want their employees in the field to be representing the company.
Description of Work: I didn't need work done--they were soliciting.

The whole project from beginning to end was wonderful, and I would highly recommend the POWER TEAM to do your roof.
Description of Work: They had a salesman approach me while I was outside my home. I setup an appointment and Ben came by and did a inspection and during his inspection he noticed that i had area;s of my roof that needed to be addressed. I agreed to have the roof installed and right from that moment I felt as if I was dealing with members of my family. I would like to commend Aaron Washington, along with Phil Morris, and also project manager mike who was at the site from first thing this morning. The crew was phenomenal and they went above and beyond in the workmanship.

The inspector came out 2 weeks after we signed the contract and told us the they could not repair the roof so we cancelled and they charged us a "restocking" fee because we did not cancel within 3 days of signing, yet it took 2 weeks for the inspector to inform us that they could not fix our roof. Please make sure others do not hire this company! They have very shady business practices! We should not have had to pay over $2800 for their "restocking" fee! They are the ones that said they could not repair our roof properly!

I met with the salesman for over 2 hours discussing what needed be done and unusual repair items due to leaks / repairs and wear on my 1930's dutch colonial. Salesman had in person discussion with the stucco company I am using and the project was coordinated before either project started. I met with the project manager for over 2 hours going over the items again and their services changed significantly. The siding could not cover imperfections as originally represented, the overall appearance of the siding meeting the stucco was different, and he said leaks may become worse due to their soffit has holes. Ended the agreement with PHR and then had to get the stucco installer to change his plan to add the addition and garage. Because of the change, I now have a line at the bottom part of the addition that would not have been there had the PHR salesman known what he was doing. The project manager also appeared irritated by my questions and my desire to understand the installation process and the final product. Also, in order to speak with someone you must dial a 1-800 number and hope they answer or return your call. Office was very professional when I called to cancel the contract and they appreciated the feedback on their services.

The installation took just two hours. The look great. I'm not even going to put any window drapes or curtains up they look so good. The glass has argon gas between the double pains which provides much needed insulation from the cold air. All debris was removed and a full demonstration of how the window should be cleaned and how the door functions was provided.
Description of Work: Change my windows and sliding glass door. Both window and sliding glass door that I use most of the time. They were very drafty and needed to be replaced with something more energy efficient. Power provided the perfect window and door.

If a customer calls asking where someone is, I wouldn't think that you would talk over them and act in a rude manner, but rather try to keep their business. Customer always right? Not at Power. Rudeness is right, to them.
Description of Work: I went to the home show in Philly. booked an appointment for an estimate. It was for 10AM the next day. At 1025, I called to ask where people were. I got the rudest person who just kept saying that I needed to confirm the appointment before they came out. NO one ever called me that morning, as they claimed. No one. My phone keeps track of missed calls and messages. The person kept speaking over me, even though I kept saying, "Are you seriously not allowing me to speak?" Rude and late is not my idea of good service. Boo.

I called to have someone come out to my home and provide me with an estimate to repair a leak in my roof. When I called to make the appointment, I had asked how long it would take to have someone give me an estimate and I was told the appointment the appointment would take no longer than a half hour. She asked when my Husband would be home from work and I said by 5:00 so that is when the appointment was set for. The salesman arrived 15 minutes late. Two (2) hours and fifteen (15) minutes later I was literally walking the salesman to the door because he would not leave. I had dinner in the oven and also had some place to be at 7:00. I politely tried several times to drop hints to get him to move it along quicker but this guy did not know how to take social queue's or hints. I took my dinner out of the oven and placed it on the counter and my Husband left the room because he realized this guy was only here to sell something and had no respect for our time or the fact that he was interrupting our dinner time. It became very apparent to me the salesman was a commissioned salespeople and he was trying to push high-end products to increase his commission based on the sale. He used all of the old sales tricks in the books such as targeted questions, trying to build a rapport and giving the key phrases such as; " 'Our product is the real deal, let me tell you about our business model", "I hear what you're saying/I know how you feel", " If you buy today, I will give you a really good deal", “Think about what this means for your house, you will never need to replace your roof for another 50 years", etc.. Of course, the repair turned into replacing the whole roof. When I finally told him to just give me the price and stop with the sales tactics, he said he needed to go in my attic and inspect the roof in order to give me a comprehensive assessment and price. He was up there for over 25 minutes. He finally gave me the price and it was $36,000.00, but the best was because I was such a special customer, if I signed up and committed to buy the roof right then he would cut the price to $17,000.00 with special financing of course. I told him there was no way I was going to pay $36,000.00 for a roof that I know I can get for $10,000.00. He finally left when I put my coat on and showed him to the door. In true salesman form, he said "I can come back and we can further discuss all of your options when you have more time"; no thank you Buddy, we are not interested. I was never able to eat my dinner and was late for my 7:00 appointment. Bottom line, I thought he was very disrespectful of our time knowing our dinner was getting cold and I had some place to be. My advice to whoever is reading this, be prepared if you set up an appointment with this company for having them at your table for a very long time, maybe even for dinner!

My old windows formed condensation inside and ALL of Power's people told me that will NEVER happen with their windows. Well it has, even worse than before. Over the phone they told me to RAISE my thermostat and run a dehumidifier in the dead of winter. Increased gas bill and a few nose bleeds later, a guy came out. He said the sales crew really doesnt understand windows and condensation is NORMAL. He said the worst room is significantly colder but it's when heated air hits cold windows that the condensation forms. A 62 degree room is not hot. Now I'm buying a new dehumidifier just for the bedroom. If I knew I would still have the problem, I would not have bought new windows. The humidity level in the worst room is 38%. Power said it should be 30%. My readings say under 40% in winter. No solution. All I'm sold is it is NOT their fault.

They did a great job on putting our new windows in. There was only one guy that came out and did the work and he was great. He helped me move things and put them back when he was done. There was one window that there was a problem with, it wouldn't close the way it should. And they took care of that for us, ordered a new window that day and stayed in contact with us on when it would be swapped out. They didn't have to replace the whole framing for the window just the glass frames. And they look great. We are so glad that we had this done. We had talked about it for some time now and they came out looked at our old windows and we talked about what we wanted to new windows to look like and they gave us a price that we just couldn't pass on. And we are so glad we went ahead with it. If you need new windows Power Home Remodeling is the ones to get.

The whole process went smoothly from the day the day salesman came to the house to the day of installation. Everything went better than i thought. They told us that it would take 3 to 4 days to complete the project. they started on Tuesday with the windows and finished on Wednesday with the rest of the windows and our 3 doors. The 3 days the shutters and capping crew came and finished up the last of the project. All crews on deck where very friendly and professional. I would definitely hire this company for future projects that might come up.

Unbelievable...DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE CLOWNS! I am separated and own a home in my name only and am solely responsible for the decisions made in regards to home maintenance. Called for estimate on three windows to be replaced. They asked if anyone else would be involved in the decision making. I said, of course I would run any estimate by friends, my husband and any other person I thought might have an informed opinion. Power rep's response..."Oh, you do have a husband! Is there a time that would work for both of you?". I responded with the above information and added that I would be running any estimate by anyone I chose before committing to a purchase. If they were expecting a check on the day of the estimate, that was unlikely to happen. I have an estimate from Castle and would like to get one more. The rep responded, "Well, unfortunately, we do not work that way," wished me a good day and good bye! WOW!

The actual installation was great. I was told they would begin on a Wednesday and be done on Friday. It was close, the gutters were installed on Saturday morning. Everything was completed by noon on Saturday. The guys were very professional and everything went very smoothly. I have received many compliments on my "new house". The fair grade for professionalism is due to the sales/pricing tactics. The first night the salesman came to my house, he was there from 6:00 to 10:00. I told him I needed to think about it, because I was exhausted and didn't want to make that big of a decision right then. I got a lot of pressure, but held my ground and had him come back in 2 days. At the project beginning, I was told by the project manager that the salesman did not measure correctly, and it would cost an additional $2K. I said never mind, I would cancel the installation. The manager then agreed it was their fault, and I would not be charged more. I'm sure all measurements were correct from the beginning. On the second day of installation a "quality review" manager came to inspect the work, and then proceeded to start on an hour long sales pitch to replace my windows. They are very high pressure salesmen. If you can get through the salespeople, the actual workers are great, and the finished product is wonderful

The PowerH team were professional from beginning to end. Prep appointments were done in timely fashion. The old roof was removed and the new one installed along with ice guards, moisture barriers, flashing, bathroom vent through our attic and put waterproofing material around the chimmney etc. They also installed gutters on 3/4 of the house - they replaced our 4" gutters with 6" gutters. The entire work site was prepped to protect our property and was cleaned up at the conclusion of the project. The company provides a 50 year warranty for the roof. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and would recommend PowerH to anyone

This company runs a bit of a racket. The whole sales model is very polished and tries to beat you over the head with how highly rated they are. The do mostly do quality work, but they, as you would expect, try to push you into getting more work done with a simple trick. DON"T FALL FOR IT: they calculate the monthly payments by simply dividing the cost by the number of months with out interest. The rate I'm paying per month is nearly double the number the salesman used to convince us we could afford the job. All of this was, of course, done on note paper and didn't show up in the official paper work. THEN, the job took about three days and they scheduled a follow-up on night two, with the assumption that the work was to be done on day two. I'm not faulting the time it took because there were a lot of windows, but the guy came and said he was something akin to a quality assurance guy ("not a salesman" he reminded my wife and I, 700 times). However, he had us fill out a review on here on Angie's List, which I can't edit apparently, before the work was done, AND tried to sell us siding for about an hour. He kept saying "I'll be first to tell you if you can't do it, don't do it, but..." and then proceeded to "go out to his truck to let us think it over" again and again after we said no. He also kept using the same "This is your low monthly payment" scam. After I filled out the review, which was part of some mystical discount, he proceeded to try to convince me to change the rating I gave them for pricing because it wasn't an A. Anyway, the job was finished pretty late the next day and ran pretty late. There is some evidence that it was competed hastily toward the end. Some of the trim and caulk has popped already on one window. I also spent a good 45 minutes after they left picking up trash and debris the workmen left in the yard, including a crazy amount of cigarette butts, shards of aluminum capping, and nails. I have two toddlers, and it was summer time; it could've been pretty bad if I didn't clean up. I have no problem doing that, but for the fact that they bludgeon you with this customer service racket. I'm trying to be fair in this review. They did mostly quality work and they make the process fairly convenient, but the sales angle left a bad taste in my mouth. The intentional misdirection on payments and preemptive review demands force me to question their integrity. Use them if you want, but be armed with this information when you do. Hope it helps others.
